Colten Care in Sturminster Newton is a wonderfully well-run home. The staff are very friendly, the home is clean and the management are approachable and always around to talk about wishes and concerns.

Our mum has settled well for respite and we are able to relax when she is there as I have total trust that she is getting the best care possible.

The care at Newstone House is quite incredible. The staff and carers I believe do all they can to make the residents feel loved and personal care is second to none. I feel very comforted by the welcome I receive as soon as I enter Newstone House.

My mother has gone from strength to strength since residing at Newstone House. She moved to Newstone following a fall at her home in 2015. Her injuries coupled with her growing dementia made it very difficult for her to continue living at home alone.
Her prognosis did not look good.
Now here we are, two and a half years later; she looks wonderful, she is happy and above all is thriving in the caring environment of Newstone House.
Nothing seems too much trouble and the management and staff are extremely professional. It is a pleasure to visit her at the home, especially to see her joy when participating in arts and crafts.

As my mother often says, she wouldn't want to live anywhere else and I'm 100% happy with that.

From the moment I contacted Newstone to going and having a look around, then the manager coming out to access my mother the process was first class. Then my mother moved to Newstone at the beginning of September and the staff could not be kinder, more caring. They made the whole process for her and her family much easier. I cannot praise them more highly.

Mum became a resident at Newstone House on 22nd September. The help and support I received from all the staff in preparing for the move were exceptional. I was given all the time I needed with the manager to explain mum's specific needs. The overall impression was an organisation with excellent values and one team working together to achieve high standards of care, dignity and value for money.

My father has been a resident at this home for the last four and a half years. We are extremely happy with the level of care he has experienced. The home has a calm but lively atmosphere and all members of staff go out of the way to provide support towards my father and our family.

I stayed here in 2014 and was very comfortable. I have returned this year and found Newstone House still has a very high standard.

Staff were wonderful, especially Reception staff who were always ready to share a laugh and a joke. It would have been nice to have seen more of the management.

My sister was at Newstone House for 3 years. The care that she received was gold standard from start to finish. I cannot fault the staff. The kindness to me and my sister has been overwhelming. The rest of her stay my sister was bed bound. Never at any time did she have pressure sores. I never had a single thing to complain about. I just don't know how to thank them.
