The care assistants made myself, friend and cousin very welcome when we called in to see my Aunt. We all thought Park House was a lovely residence. Clean and comfortable. The residents that we observed looked happy and well looked after. My Aunt was very comfortable and happy, although she does have
her 'moments', the assistants are very caring towards her. My Aunt's birthday is 19th May so we celebrated it a day early.

The care home offers a view of an impressive building as you approach it from the outside. Lots of windows to give good light for access to and viewing from bedrooms and the lounge. When you enter the care home it presents a grand picture leading to the reception area where you are welcomed by one or
two members of staff on your first visit. A lift at the reception area takes you to the first-floor 'dementia' accommodation, on leaving the lift, you are likely to be greeted by smiling faces. They may be residents or members of staff. After a few visits, the staff will often greet you by your first name and a pleasant smile. What a lovely 'hello' to receive when you arrive to visit. The staff are very caring and attentive towards all residents. Nothing is a problem to them, they get on with what needs to be done with lots of smiles in between. My family and I know that my wife is being well cared for and that she has settled into her new home.

The care and support my father has received since moving to Park House in 2016 have been second to none.
The staff who look after him are extremely caring and professional, they have supported him through some long bouts of bad health, ensured all possible was done to aid his recovery and improve his
well-being. Since my dad arrived at Park House he has been welcomed into a caring home, staff have taken time to get to know him, his likes/dislikes and have always provided support to us as relatives through their care and attentiveness.

I cannot praise the staff at Park House enough for their kindness, support and help my mother received during her stay at Park House. If there was a higher praise than excellent Park House would definitely receive it.

Park House is a friendly home run by polite, happy and very caring people. It is lovely to be greeted by smiling faces 100% of the timer. I love to see a manager that involves herself in events and activities with the residents. The way the staff treat the residents with dignity and respect is second
to none. A fabulous home.

On visiting my friend for the first time, I was made very welcome and was struck by the happy atmosphere of the staff. The building is very fresh and nicely designed. My friend took great pleasure in showing me around and seemed very happy to take pride in the place. I am very pleased for her!

My mum has been in this home for 3 years. She is very settled and is loved by all the staff who always pay her special attention. When mum went to Park House, she was in the last stages of dementia. Since being in there she seems happier and has improved in her wellbeing. She is always happy.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.948)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.948) out of 10 for Park House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 32 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.948 for Park House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (363 Excellents x 5) + (20 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 383 Ratings = 4.948
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Park House Care Home is based on 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 57 registered maximum number of service users is 11.4, which has been reached with 32 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
