Park View, part of First Care Homes is an attractive modern, purpose-built care home, providing residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 61 elderly people. Close to local transport and amenities, it is just one mile away from Ipswich, the bustling county town of Suffolk.

Park View is nestled within attractive landscaped gardens, with a large glass frontage which provides fantastic views of the gardens and overlooking Chantry Park. As well as a comprehensive activities programme, Park View has a surround sound cinema, a therapy room offering aromatherapy along with a library, activity kitchen, Bistro, residents own garden, balconies and terraces. All bedrooms have ensuite wet room, telephone, flat screen TV with Freeview and Sky channels.

Park View have been very good with my uncle and he has enjoyed his time with them, they enabled him to have and enjoy his later life, joining in games and activities. His care has been so very good and he has been able to make friends in a light, bright environment. This would not have been possible
if he had remained at home due to his dementia. The kindness of the staff towards my uncle has been above and beyond whatever they were paid. Thank you all so much.

From the first point of contact with the manager, I knew we were going to be looked after extremely well and I can't express how well my husband was cared for in the four weeks of his respite. Visiting was a pleasure, every member of staff was always smiling and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend
Park View and use them again.
I would just like to thank everyone for making my recovery from hip surgery effortlessly easy. Long may you continue your excellent services.

My mother has recently moved into Park View. When deciding on a care facility, you are putting your trust in staff to care for your relative, just like they are one of family. This is exactly what they do. My mother was made to feel so welcome from the outset and in just a few short weeks we have seen
a significant improvement my mother's health and wellbeing. The staff are kind, caring, compassionate and attentive. It means so much to us as a family to know our mother is being so well cared for.

My son received excellent end-of-life care for which my family is exceedingly grateful. Nothing was too much trouble both for our son or his relatives and made a very sad occasion slightly easier.

I have stage 4 bowel cancer. I need quality palliative/end-of-life care and personal care. So for me, this ticks all the boxes. When I need personal nurses at 3 AM it is reassuring to know staff are hands-on and come straight away. If there are issues with modifying times for meds or food/dietary requirements
the staff listen and adjust routines to your personal way. Yes, the environment, food and ambience are great but it's the care and attention and staff that matter.

I could not have asked for better loving care for my dear wife over the last six weeks of her life on this earth. The staff were professional in all they did and my wife was completely pain-free at the end. Some staff went the extra mile and even came in on their days off to make sure my wife was comfortable.
It was also such a comfort to my wife to have our dog with her every day.

I have been here in Park View for 2 weeks of respite care after a knee replacement followed by a week in hospital and unfortunately, my husband passing away. Park View has been wonderful in helping me get back on my feet and my mind sorted after a very traumatic time for me. The staff are so kind, considerate,
caring and nothing is too much bother. They are all wonderful. I have enjoyed my stay and will always remember everybody's kindness.

The care for my mum over the last 4 years has been outstanding and over her last days, the care was stepped up even further. The compassion and dignity was first class. The support my family and I got was also first class. Couldn't have asked for better care. I have been connected with Park View for
the last 10 years as my dad previously spent 6 years here before he passed.

From the first phone call to Park View, a great weight was lifted off my shoulders. Two particular members of staff came to see my stepdad straight away and said he could move in that day. Wow the place was amazing, so clean and the decor fantastic. His room with ensuite was absolutely marvellous and
they unpacked his things with him.
Every single care assistant was amazing they not only made my stepdad feel welcome, but us as a family too! They all make a great cup of tea and I got one every visit! The care my stepdad received was first-class.
The care home deserves to have an 'outstanding' rating!

Park View have worked wonders with my father. He came to the home from living on his own. He was depressed, withdrawn and not used to social contact. Within a week he was much brighter and happier and interacting well with the staff and other residents. The staff have worked very hard to make him welcome
and to integrate him into life as a resident, nothing is too much trouble. They keep me up to date with regular messages.

Parkview staff impressed and reassured me and my family with the excellent care they provided for my father-in-law in the last months of his life.
Staff balanced his wishes and needs (which were not always aligned) with sensitivity and skill.
It meant so much to know that he was cared for with compassion
and warmth when we were not with him.

Our mum was a resident for four years. The nursing care she received throughout her stay was exceptional. The kind and compassionate staff are a credit to the home, and the love and attention they showed our mum, we as a family will always be thankful for.

The care, support and compassion that my cousin received was first-class throughout. They made the last few months of her life bearable.

My mum's stay in Park View was so lovely and couldn't fault it at all.
The staff were all so kind, caring, and so thoughtful towards my mum.
She couldn't have been in a better place to end her life and made it so comfortable for her, also even the staff were so kind to me and my sister and helping

My mum was transferred to Park View to receive end-of-life care. Unfortunately, she died 2 days later. Although we had such a short time to experience Park View, we were so impressed by everything that was done, both for Mum and ourselves. The home is modern, bright and clean, the facilities excellent
and no words can describe the wonderful staff.
Mu was treated with utmost care and dignity and the compassion shown to us was incredible. I would have no hesitation in recommending Park View.

I have been working in health and Social Care services for over 30 years. My career has covered many interesting areas from emergency care, acute services, community nursing, qualifying as a district nurse and management. I made the transition to care home management in 2012.


I really enjoy working with people and what I love about this role is I can make a difference, ensuring that each of our residents is supported as an individual with dignity and respect. I love working with the care home team to support our residents as partners to fulfil their lifestyle choices, revisiting hobbies and developing new passions and lived experiences. Importantly, time to have fun and time to reflect.


I truly believe in a ‘hands on' approach working with the team and residents delivering quality care with compassion.
