Park View, part of First Care Homes is an attractive modern, purpose-built care home, providing residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 61 elderly people. Close to local transport and amenities, it is just one mile away from Ipswich, the bustling county town of Suffolk.

Park View is nestled within attractive landscaped gardens, with a large glass frontage which provides fantastic views of the gardens and overlooking Chantry Park. As well as a comprehensive activities programme, Park View has a surround sound cinema, a therapy room offering aromatherapy along with a library, activity kitchen, Bistro, residents own garden, balconies and terraces. All bedrooms have ensuite wet room, telephone, flat screen TV with Freeview and Sky channels.

Park View also offers residents a private dining room for special occasions including family functions.

My father became a resident at Park View Care Home during lockdown. He received superb care and towards the end, life became more of a challenge. The wonderful staff did all they could to make him comfortable. They also provided great support for me during difficult times. Five stars all the way.

My father who has dementia went to Park View for 3 weeks respite. From walking into the building to getting him settled into his room was a positive experience mainly due to the attentiveness and professionalism of all the staff. During his stay, it was clear that the staff treated him as an individual
and quickly identified his personal needs. In addition, they encouraged him to try new things e.g. joining in with the activities which he really enjoyed.
From my regular visits, I could see he was really happy, eating well, being cared for and being stimulated.


Upon the end of his 3-week stay, I took the decision for my father to remain in Park View as a permanent resident as I knew he would be very well cared for.

We moved our aunt to this home this month and have been stunned by how fabulous they have been. They have settled her in incredibly well and I have been really impressed when I have visited just how well they obviously know my aunt already.
The wellness team run a full programme of excellent activities.
The nurses are kind and attentive. Really well managed. Well maintained. Hugely pleased we moved aunt here.

This was my first experience with a care home for my mother. My assessment is excellent in all respects: quality and cleanliness of home premises and facilities, outdoors environment (patio and garden). The quality and devotion of staff, management and responsiveness of management for questions or concerns.
Quality of meals and other services. Quality of ancillary services such as television and hooking up the DVR player. Attention to detail and supervision of medication and any health issues


There is no point where I would say there was something lacking. I am grateful to Park View Care Home, Ipswich for their professionalism and devotion.

I would like to thank Park View Care Home managers for saving my uncle from a very dark place in another local nursing home. After explaining his situation, they visited promptly and acted fast. Within the week, they had organised his room, covering all additional medical needs and had him moved in.
It's a fantastic place and the care is 5 stars.

The whole experience so far has been wonderful from initial contact, assessment and move in, the professionalism has been amazing.
Dad was welcomed in a lovely manner by many staff, though he doesn't realise he is somewhere new at all anyway.

My dad has been a resident for a month, he is on end-of-life care, so not able to join in with the activities. The staff treat him very well, engage with him and make life as pleasant as possible, very happy with his care.

My cousin has only spent a few weeks at Park View but has been warmly welcomed and well looked after. The staff are all very committed to the resident's wellbeing and my cousin is pleased with the level of care she is receiving. There are various activities during the day that residents can choose from
and there is a comprehensive menu for mealtimes. Special requests are also met. Well done to the Park View team.

Very welcoming and understanding. Very helpful in difficult circumstances (i.e. Covid). The home is very clean and well organised. They always keep me informed about my father's condition. Well looked after and kept very smart and clean and he was happy which was very important.

My mum was admitted to Park View eight weeks ago as an end of life resident. Her previous year had been very unpleasant, because of illness, and her quality of life was rock bottom. She was very poorly. Since she's been a resident she has been very well cared for, had first-class nursing care and very
attentive staff. She was bedridden up to this week and now she's up on her feet (with assistance) and beginning to enjoy the facilities and activities the home offers. Well done and thank you from all the family.

All the staff have been professional, caring and friendly. They have gone "the extra mile" to meet Mum's needs and make her stay as happy and comfortable as possible. The extra activities are outstanding.

On my first visit to this home, I was extremely impressed with all members of staff who greeted me, introduced themselves, answered questions and generally went above and beyond. The regular updates on myo are fantastic and it's lovely to see the staff building a good rapport with my nanny. She has
improved so much since being discharged from hospital and our family really feel that is down to the fantastic care she is receiving. Thank you!

I have been working in health and Social Care services for over 30 years. My career has covered many interesting areas from emergency care, acute services, community nursing, qualifying as a district nurse and management. I made the transition to care home management in 2012.


I really enjoy working with people and what I love about this role is I can make a difference, ensuring that each of our residents is supported as an individual with dignity and respect. I love working with the care home team to support our residents as partners to fulfil their lifestyle choices, revisiting hobbies and developing new passions and lived experiences. Importantly, time to have fun and time to reflect.


I truly believe in a ‘hands on' approach working with the team and residents delivering quality care with compassion.
