Park View, part of First Care Homes is an attractive modern, purpose-built care home, providing residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 61 elderly people. Close to local transport and amenities, it is just one mile away from Ipswich, the bustling county town of Suffolk.

Park View is nestled within attractive landscaped gardens, with a large glass frontage which provides fantastic views of the gardens and overlooking Chantry Park. As well as a comprehensive activities programme, Park View has a surround sound cinema, a therapy room offering aromatherapy along with a library, activity kitchen, Bistro, residents own garden, balconies and terraces. From our very first visit to having a look around, we had a warm feeling that our loved one would be well cared for. Throughout our loved ones' stay, the care and attention to detail have been simply the best we could have asked for. All the staff involved have been excellent through the ups and downs
and we've been able to have a chat, and nothing was too much trouble, whatever we asked for. Thank you once again. You have helped us through a very difficult time.

My nan came to this lovely home where she spent the last four months of her life before she sadly passed away yesterday.
Honestly, we can't thank all the staff who cared for her enough, they were kind, caring and nothing was too much trouble. They have been supportive of our family throughout and especially
now.
The only downfall is that we wish we had found this care home sooner.
We certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I am writing this as a resident's wife, so I really did not go to visit my husband as I was on holiday, but the reviews I received from family and friends who did say my husband was very well looked after and that the food was very good. What I saw of the home was that it was very good and well-run.
Before I put him in the home I asked around and was assured it was one of the best care homes around. I wouldn't hesitate to use it again for respite if I needed it, but for permanent residence, I'm afraid I could not afford it.

Park View is outstanding. From settling my aunt into a new care home in a compassionate way, recognising the impact of her dementia. The staff were professional, knowledgable and kind at all times - they built a bond and rapport that added real quality to my aunt's life.
They did not target the small
or basic aspects of care which are so important. Their end-of-life care was exemplary, at every different level and I have nothing but praise and admiration for each and every one of them.

My mum only had a week in this lovely home before she died, but in that week she had exceptional care. Nothing was too much trouble. She had a beautiful room, and the staff took great care in feeding her and helping her drink. Mum has dementia and was in the end-of-life stage by the time she was moved
to Park View. I just wish she had had longer there. Lovely staff and at every stage her care was explained to us. She was made comfortable at the end and we, as family, were to be involved in all decisions about her care.

My mum had to be moved urgently into a care home from another area to be near me and my family in Ipswich. After much research, we chose Park View. I must say from the initial contact with the customer relations manager, the service we have received has been exceptional - very professional. She managed
to find Mum a suitable room at very short notice. Since Mum moved in, she has really changed and is very happy and enjoying being there. All the staff can't do enough for her and are so friendly and talkative. 10/10 service from the customer relations manager and all her staff.

My mum has dementia and is unable to live independently, so we thought we would try respite for two weeks.
The food served is excellent and delicious.
The entire home is clean, fresh and tidy, and my mum's room is beautiful, having just been refurbished.
The manager is amazing, and this reflects
on her wonderful staff - nothing is too much trouble for them. I have no problem with them caring for my mum.

I had my auntie stay at Park View for respite care while I went on holiday. On my return, she stated that she had a wonderful time and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was lovely, and the new rooms that had been recently decorated are lovely.

Having short listed and visited three care homes in the Ipswich area to provide care for my stepmother, myself and all my family members unanimously agreed that Park View would be an ideal home for her to spend the last few years of her life. Unfortunately, she died just two months after moving in.
Our biggest regret was that she didn't live longer in a place where we knew she was at last somewhere safe, loved and well looked after.

Everything about Park View care home was excellent. The staff were plentiful, attentive and treated my father with exceptional kindness and respect. There is a lovely, happy atmosphere in the home. After spending 76 years happily married to my husband and he passed away, the time has come for me to be cared for. I came to view Park View and straight away I felt that this home was the place where I would be happy to spend the rest of my years, where I made many friends.

I have been working in health and Social Care services for over 30 years. My career has covered many interesting areas from emergency care, acute services, community nursing, qualifying as a district nurse and management. I made the transition to care home management in 2012.


I really enjoy working with people and what I love about this role is I can make a difference, ensuring that each of our residents is supported as an individual with dignity and respect. I love working with the care home team to support our residents as partners to fulfil their lifestyle choices, revisiting hobbies and developing new passions and lived experiences. Importantly, time to have fun and time to reflect.


I truly believe in a ‘hands on' approach working with the team and residents delivering quality care with compassion.
