Park View, part of First Care Homes is an attractive modern, purpose-built care home, providing residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 61 elderly people. Close to local transport and amenities, it is just one mile away from Ipswich, the bustling county town of Suffolk.

Park View is nestled within attractive landscaped gardens, with a large glass frontage which provides fantastic views of the gardens and overlooking Chantry Park. As well as a comprehensive activities programme, Park View has a surround sound cinema, a therapy room offering aromatherapy along with a library, activity kitchen, Bistro, residents own garden, balconies and terraces. All bedrooms have ensuite wet room, telephone, flat screen TV with Freeview and Sky channels.

On my first visit to this home, I was extremely impressed with all members of staff who greeted me, introduced themselves, answered questions and generally went above and beyond. The regular updates on myo are fantastic and it's lovely to see the staff building a good rapport with my nanny. She has
improved so much since being discharged from hospital and our family really feel that is down to the fantastic care she is receiving. Thank you!

My mother was extremely poorly when she left hospital but she is now a different person since being at Park View Care Home. The care and attention she receives are excellent and very genuine. We have seen her smile so much and feel very relieved that she is being looked after so well. We also feel very
included in all her care and know we can contact them if we have any concerns or questions.

My mother has had to move into the care home during the pandemic, the staff (the customer relations in particular) have been extremely helpful throughout the process from initial contact through to meeting her to assess her and help her with understanding how everything would happen. Since moving in
she has been well looked after albeit in very challenging circumstances, the communication from Park View has been excellent with regular updates and notifications as required. Much of the following are based on rather limited information as we are not able to enter the care home due to Covid restrictions.

My husband has been a resident at Park View for 6 years and as a family, we are pleased with every aspect of his care. The continuity of regular/caring and kind staff creates a really happy atmosphere. The families are always made welcome and encouraged to join in with activities. During the Covid-19
lockdown, I was confident that my husband would be well cared for and in very safe hands. This has given us peace of mind in these difficult times. We couldn't have chosen a better home.

From the moment I first telephoned Park View, it stood out from all the others. I was able to go and meet the manager and get a feel for the place, was shown into an empty room, the garden and reception area, despite being in lockdown but I felt was very important. My Dad is doing really well now and
has put on some weight and looks much better, always clean and well cared for. All the staff have been wonderful and I am always kept up to date with every aspect of Dad's care. I will thoroughly recommend.

Since moving to Park View, we have seen such positive changes in my grandad's physical and mental health. We are overwhelmed with the exceptional level of care he has received from every member of staff, and the kindness and compassion they have shown us as a family. Despite the testing times in which
they are operating, Park View continues to be a warm and happy place to live, where all the staff have gone the extra mile to ensure that Grandad has settled well, and feels cared for and comfortable. The residents are clearly at the heart of everything the manager does, and all the kind, helpful and professional staff are a credit to the work she is doing in running the home. As a family we are constantly kept informed and involved in Grandad's care. The Wellbeing team have tailored activities to Grandad's interests, and given him companionship and reassurance - to see Grandad smiling and taking pleasure in singing and music again has brought so much joy! We can't thank everyone enough!

Our enquiry was met with a prompt reply with helpful information. We were supplied with Covid information that was very clear and easy to understand along with the current visiting rules. My wife was warmly received upon admission and left the family quite happily. The family were very impressed with
the Myo App that the home use to keep the families informed. Within hours of admission, we had viewed photos of her settling in. With the lockdown restrictions, this brought a lot of reassurance.

Until the lockdown, I have visited my wife at Park View almost daily for over four years. During this period I have come to look upon the management and staff as my extended family and have always been treated as a friend rather than a visitor. I have two daughters who also visit regularly who feel
the same way as I do. We are very grateful that our loved one is so well cared for and she is in a home where the well being of all the residents is a priority. It's that kind of place.

Park View is a very well, very friendly care home. I was very reluctant to put my Mother in a care home. However, she is very happy there. She loves the carers and staff and said some of them have become like family, she has become very attached to them. On her 95th Birthday during the lockdown, they
pulled out all the stops and gave her a fabulous birthday. She said she felt like the Queen, they treated her so well (as the family could not attend). Full marks to them all.

Since my mother has been in Park View she has gained weight. The staff are very good, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The staff are very encouraging with the residents. The staff keep me up to date on my mother's wellbeing. I would recommend Park View to anyone.

Trying to provide care at home for frail elderly parents during the pandemic was hard. Many different people were coming and going but my parents still felt horribly isolated. When the situation deteriorated further, I contacted Park View, who could not have been more helpful and supportive. I am very
reassured about their procedures and my parents enjoy great food, good care and lots of stimulating activities. Staff have been very patient with all the questions that have arisen. Parents are doing better. it has certainly been a good move. It is very important to have people I can trust and who work with and support me as well.

My husband has had two visits to Park View. Both giving me a break. I have found all the staff that I have met to be incredibly caring and friendly but most of all efficient. He has enjoyed the activities that are held and all the company around him. He comes home very tidy and clean and happy. I shall

From the day my father moved into your home, he has been cared for extremely well. They made I'm welcome, have kept him well and he feels safe. I feel assured he is being looked after. The app keeps me up to date, and I regularly speak to the nursing staff. I highly recommend this home.

I have been working in health and Social Care services for over 30 years. My career has covered many interesting areas from emergency care, acute services, community nursing, qualifying as a district nurse and management. I made the transition to care home management in 2012.


I really enjoy working with people and what I love about this role is I can make a difference, ensuring that each of our residents is supported as an individual with dignity and respect. I love working with the care home team to support our residents as partners to fulfil their lifestyle choices, revisiting hobbies and developing new passions and lived experiences. Importantly, time to have fun and time to reflect.


I truly believe in a ‘hands on' approach working with the team and residents delivering quality care with compassion.
