My auntie wanted to come here because of the positive experience of her friends. The nurses and staff are all amazing. Their love and obvious consideration for my auntie have left me so proud that she is here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Overall Experience

This was my first experience with a care home for my mother. My assessment is excellent in all respects: quality and cleanliness of home premises and facilities, outdoors environment (patio and garden). The quality and devotion of staff, management and responsiveness of management for questions or concerns. Quality of meals and other services. Quality of ancillary services such as television and hooking up the DVR player. Attention to detail and supervision of medication and any health issues

There is no point where I would say there was something lacking. I am grateful to Park View Care Home, Ipswich for their professionalism and devotion.

I would like to thank Park View Care Home managers for saving my uncle from a very dark place in another local nursing home. After explaining his situation, they visited promptly and acted fast. Within the week, they had organised his room, covering all additional medical needs and had him moved in. It's a fantastic place and the care is 5 stars.

The whole experience so far has been wonderful from initial contact, assessment and move in, the professionalism has been amazing.
Dad was welcomed in a lovely manner by many staff, though he doesn't realise he is somewhere new at all anyway.

Regular updates are received and Dad is engaging well which is lovely.

My cousin has only spent a few weeks at Park View but has been warmly welcomed and well looked after. The staff are all very committed to the resident's wellbeing and my cousin is pleased with the level of care she is receiving. There are various activities during the day that residents can choose from and there is a comprehensive menu for mealtimes. Special requests are also met. Well done to the Park View team.

My mum was admitted to Park View eight weeks ago as an end of life resident. Her previous year had been very unpleasant, because of illness, and her quality of life was rock bottom. She was very poorly. Since she's been a resident she has been very well cared for, had first-class nursing care and very attentive staff. She was bedridden up to this week and now she's up on her feet (with assistance) and beginning to enjoy the facilities and activities the home offers. Well done and thank you from all the family.

On my first visit to this home, I was extremely impressed with all members of staff who greeted me, introduced themselves, answered questions and generally went above and beyond. The regular updates on myo are fantastic and it's lovely to see the staff building a good rapport with my nanny. She has improved so much since being discharged from hospital and our family really feel that is down to the fantastic care she is receiving. Thank you!

My mother was extremely poorly when she left hospital but she is now a different person since being at Park View Care Home. The care and attention she receives are excellent and very genuine. We have seen her smile so much and feel very relieved that she is being looked after so well. We also feel very included in all her care and know we can contact them if we have any concerns or questions.

My mother has had to move into the care home during the pandemic, the staff (the customer relations in particular) have been extremely helpful throughout the process from initial contact through to meeting her to assess her and help her with understanding how everything would happen. Since moving in she has been well looked after albeit in very challenging circumstances, the communication from Park View has been excellent with regular updates and notifications as required. Much of the following are based on rather limited information as we are not able to enter the care home due to Covid restrictions.

My husband has been a resident at Park View for 6 years and as a family, we are pleased with every aspect of his care. The continuity of regular/caring and kind staff creates a really happy atmosphere. The families are always made welcome and encouraged to join in with activities. During the Covid-19 lockdown, I was confident that my husband would be well cared for and in very safe hands. This has given us peace of mind in these difficult times. We couldn't have chosen a better home.

From the moment I first telephoned Park View, it stood out from all the others. I was able to go and meet the manager and get a feel for the place, was shown into an empty room, the garden and reception area, despite being in lockdown but I felt was very important. My Dad is doing really well now and has put on some weight and looks much better, always clean and well cared for. All the staff have been wonderful and I am always kept up to date with every aspect of Dad's care. I will thoroughly recommend.

I am proud to say I commissioned The Cambridgeshire Care Home in 2016 and was the manager until 2019, having worked at First Care Homes since 2011. I returned in 2022.

I have worked in the social care sector as a registered manager in a home and regional capacity for over 25 years since leaving the NHS, where I was a ward sister.

I am a Registered Nurse and have a Degree in Gerontological Nursing, the Registered Managers Award and also Level 5 in management and leadership.

I love this home and want the staff to feel the same, as this then impacts our residents' experience and helps them feel at home right from day one
