We took the difficult decision to put my father into care earlier this year - from day one, Seymour House was the best place for him. The staff there are so kind, patient and professional. My father is is kept warm and well fed (really the only things he cares about!) and nothing is ever too much trouble to keep him comfortable.
The property is spotless from top to bottom, and the staff are never anything less than super friendly.
We're delighted with the level of care my father gets and would not hesitate to recommend Seymour House to anyone who finds themself in a similarly difficult position.
We know it wasn't an easy decision, and we're really glad your father has settled in well. Your feedback will be shared with the team.
Kind regards,
Gabriela
Seymour House is a lovely environment with friendly and caring staff. The Management were excellent, and a big thank you goes to Maggie, and her Deputy Manager, Gabriela, for their kindness and efficiency.
Should my mother require further respite care we would not hesitate in choosing for her to stay there again.
Thank you to all those who helped looking after her. Your hard work and dedication was greatly appreciated.
It was a pleasure having your mother with us, and we're very grateful for your lovely comments about the team. Your appreciation truly means a lot to everyone at Seymour House.
The staff at the care home were outstanding. They cared for my mother as if she were their own mother. Their kindness and compassion were exemplary and nothing was ever too much trouble.
The atmosphere at the care was always warm and welcoming and it had a lovely homely feel.
My sister and I are deeply grateful for all the wonderful care my mother always received. All the staff were terrific and we were always reassured that our mother was being very well cared for. Thank you from us both.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences, and thank you again for your kind words.
When the end came they dealt with it very compassionately and professionally and we were very pleased that the manager, and another staff member attended her funeral. Sincere thanks to the manager and all the staff at Seymour House for everything you did for our Mum. It will never be forgotten.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was truly a privilege to care for your Mum over the years, and we will always remember her with great fondness. Your gratitude means a lot to all of us at Seymour House. With warm regards,Gabriela
Daily cleaning of rooms, and supply of towels and freshly washed clothes. Being from a catering background, the food is of a good standard, fresh fruit, tea, coffee freely available. Entertainment and various activities are provided and very enjoyable. On a personal level l would love a curry or Chinese food on occasions The staff are approachable and are very eager to assist in any way they can.
Thank you, for your wonderful words. We feel lucky to have you as part of our home and are so proud to see how far you've come on your recovery journey. Your appreciation means so much to all of us, and we'll definitely keep your curry and Chinese treat in mind - your preferences matter to us.
It is a happy home and very well-managed and I have no hesitation in recommending it.
Thank you so much! We're glad to hear your wife feels content and well cared for with us. Your kind words mean a lot to the team and motivate us to keep providing the highest standard of care.
Dad spent 9 months at Seymour House following the death of our beloved Mum, sadly he then also passed away. I am compelled to say that the care and compassion given to Dad and us during such a difficult time was truly heart warming from both the management and the phenomenal care team. I have videos on him dancing and having fun with the team, he was a picky eater at first but they soon had him eating up a storm. He was extremely well looked after and immaculate, as is the home. They looked after Dad's best interests and went beyond to fulfill his needs. I cannot praise the team at Seymour House enough, thank you again for all you did and in particular when Dad did pass, my Brother and I were privileged to be with him and were given the privacy needed at such a sad time but also shown the wonderful care and respect that Dad received. The focus of this home is about care, compassion and love as if their own family. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. They truly touched us and were so grateful for the trust you placed in us to care for your dad. It was an honour to be part of his journey, and we're so glad that he and your family felt the love and respect we always aim to provide. Well always...
My Mum has recently spent time at Seymour House while waiting for a place in a nursing home. I can't praise the staff team highly enough, they are capable, friendly, and most importantly, always present to attend to the residents' needs and treat them with respect and dignity.
Thank you for your kind words. It was truly a pleasure having your Mum with us, and all our staff loved caring for her. We wish her all the best! Kind regards.
My aunt lived in Seymour House for more than three years and celebrated her 100th birthday there. During her time there she was very happy and well cared for. The staff are friendly and welcoming and always helpful.
Thank you for your heartwarming review! We're thrilled to hear that her happiness was evident during her time at Seymour House. We truly cherished having her with us. Warm regards.
I can fully recommend Seymour House Northwood.
Your kind words mean a lot to us, and we're honoured to have been part of your mother's journey. Thank you for your trust and recommendation.
However, a much bigger thanks is due to you and your wonderful team for how my Aunt has been treated since she arrived but especially of late when her condition dramatically worsened before sadly passing away.
She was comfortable and in no real signs of distress and I have no doubt that you were able to greatly assist in that.
To have people with her when she passed is also of great comfort.
Whenever I spoke with her she would always say how happy she was with you and the photos of her when she went on one of your many organised outings clearly show this. My role in dealing with her care since May 2020 has been largely as her Attorney under LPA Powers but again Seymour House did whatever was possible to make this job a bit easier for me. Again many thanks for all you and Seymour House did for her - it is very much appreciated by the family.
Thank you for your kind words and appreciation. We extend our deepest condolences for your loss. We are touched to hear that your Aunt felt happy and comfortable in our care and we are grateful for the opportunity to have been there for her.
Special mention to one lady who always made time to talk to me, in person or on the phone and was so very kind to me during my last few visits before his death.
Dear Sharon, thank you for your heartfelt review. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback. Wishing you and your loved ones all the best.
highest level. There are many activities to engage their mental capacities, plus outings whenever possible. Entertainment is also provided on a regular basis. Catering is always varied, nutritious and appetizing.
To sum up, we would highly recommend Seymour House.
This is an outstanding care home with amazing staff. My mother has been a resident for over ten years, and they are family to us now. My mum is treated with dignity and respect with the highest level of care. It always smells lovely and fresh whenever you walk in, which is a sign of a good care home. The staff go above and beyond, and I cannot rate this home highly enough. The residents are so well looked after, and this is definitely home-from-home. I know Mum is safe and loved, and that is incredibly important as to whom you can trust with a loved one's care.
Comfortable, warm care home with very helpful, caring, friendly staff. Single ensuite shower wet room. The comfortable electric bed rises up and down, and the back rises to sit you upright for easily getting out of bed. Clothes are laundered every day. Two lounges, a TV lounge and a dining lounge.
My wife has been a resident at Seymour House since September 2022. The service she has received is first class. All the staff are caring and pleasant. The home is clean and inviting. I have spoken to several people who are interested in finding a place for their loved ones, and I have thoroughly recommended it. I would not hesitate to name members of the staff for special praise, but in my opinion, they are all excellent.
My mum was a resident at Seymour House for six months following quick-onset dementia, and we were so pleased with the care she received. The team provided high-quality care, particularly given her additional and complex health needs and were/are on hand to answer any questions; they supported us hugely with Mum's transition from living independently to full-time residential care. There was regular entertainment and activities that she could participate in that were enjoyable. Seymour House is well-maintained and clean, providing a comfortable home for all residents and visitors. We are so glad we found Seymour House; they treated our mum with care and respect and really helped to make her final few months comfortable.
I was only at Seymour House for five weeks, but I was made to feel welcome by everyone. All the residents were well cared for - hugs were given as appropriate, and residents were persuaded to do things they weren't keen on doing. It is somewhere I would be happy to stay again.
Her health and wellbeing improved significantly whilst there, due to the amazing efforts by all those caring for her.
There are no words to express my thanks and gratitude to the team at Seymour House.
My family and I will always be grateful for everything they did for her.
Great staff, very helpful and friendly, clean tidy, always entertaining the guests with games, painting and many different activities, lovely food with a wide variety of puddings and biscuits etc. All set within lovely surroundings and a secure back garden.
