Yarningdale supports adults living with complex needs arising from brain injuries, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s, dementia, mental health conditions, and neuro-disabilities.

The home has 20 bedrooms across two small, purpose-built units, each with shared kitchen, lounge and dining spaces. Communal facilities include a therapy kitchen, beauty salon, activities hub and large accessible garden.

Robin Unit is a female-only environment for those with complex mental health needs arising from a mental health or neurological diagnosis, such as brain injury, dementia, Huntington’s disease, paranoid schizophrenia, personality disorder, and stroke.

Wren Unit supports those complex mental and physical health needs arising from a primary mental health or neurological diagnosis, such as brain injury, Huntington’s disease, bipolar disorders, and stroke.

The nurse-led team comprises general and mental health Registered Nurses, supported by therapists and activities staff trained in positive behaviour support.

Care plans are co-produced with people, focusing on regaining life skills, reducing hospital re-admissions, and enhancing community connectivity.

Yarningdale encourages involvement in social and meaningful activities such as volunteering and community events, and fosters independence in a nurturing small-group setting supported by high staffing levels and therapeutic input.

I visit my Brother, me and my family, and his other sister. The staff always seems very caring and supports him well, and overall seems happy.

Excellent very friendly personal service. Always felt so very welcome. All the staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly.
Lovely to meet other residents and to share their experiences. So many experiences put on for the residents. Such a happy place.

We always get a very warm welcome from both the staff and residents when we visit with our Therapy Dogs, once a month. The dogs thoroughly enjoy themselves getting lots of treats and we enjoy seeing the joy they bring to residents. We visit with the activities lady to the bedrooms for those who cannot
access the lounges which is so lovely. The staff are so nice and enjoy seeing and making a fuss of the dogs. It is always very clean. We have been visiting for several months now always being greeted enthusiastically in the reception.

Yarningdale has a family atmosphere. The staff are happy, friendly and kind. It’s a lovely place to be. The people who live there are encouraged to achieve their goals. Yarningdale's staff team are welcoming and helpful and the people who live there always come first.

I find the home very friendly and helpful. The staff are very good with all the residents. It is a very family carer home. Keep you informed with day to day things. It is very clean and the rooms are nice. The staff always have a smile and are polite. Would recommend this care home.
