The care my mother has received so far has been excellent. My mother is in for respite care (2 or 3 weeks) after suffering a broken hip and every member of staff has gone above and beyond the call of duty. The home itself is spotless, the food is superb and the facilities are second to none. 10/10.

All staff are friendly efficient and very caring. A difficut job but over the last year even though there have been many changes both in staff and decor standards continue to be exceptional. Receptionists, cleaners, carers even managers and senior staff do an amazing job.

When I returned, Mum was sitting with a drink & was in wonderful spirits. She told me she had had a lovely few hours doing chair physio, chatting with others, & enjoying the warm & friendly atmosphere. She even stayed for lunch, which said so much about how relaxed, comfortable, & cared for she felt. Seeing her so content was incredibly comforting. Mum will definitely be going again, & she is already looking forward to the other events she can attend. I am so grateful to the staff for the kindness, warmth, & genuine care they showed Mum. Thank you Care UK.
My husband stayed for respite care. All the staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. His medication was administered at the correct times. He enjoyed taking part in the activities and in particular the drive out in the minibus. He made some good friends and enjoyed his chats. His room was spotlessly clean and spacious. He was quite emotional when I picked him up and had lots of hugs and kisses saying goodbye. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.
It's lovely to know that he enjoyed the activities, especially the minibus outing, and had the...

Overall my mother was very happy staying here for 2 weeks respite after a fall. There were a couple of small incidents at night which management were looking into. Overall all the staff were happy and always smiling, they seemed to really enjoy working at Knebworth Care Home. If I have to find fault, it was not enough parking, which would deter me from my mother staying there on a full-time basis. A big thank you.
We acknowledge that incidents can happen and our Management Team are always committed to investigating and providing a resolution to any issues effectively and efficiently....
Very welcoming environment professionally run. Overall excellent experience albeit felt the food at times fell short of expected standard for example served partially frozen sandwiches once. It would be nice to have a heated towel rail to dry things on.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding Knebworth. Your kind words regarding our home are greatly appreciated. Regarding food, we are sorry to hear that this was your experience. We pride ourselves in providing a large variety of meal choices for residents to enjoy and our Chef works hard to...

Meet the Team (1)

Hi, I’m Claudiu. I qualified as a General Nurse in 2015 in my home country of Romania. Before joining Care UK, I worked as a Deputy Manager in a 78-bed nursing home. I was impressed by Care UK’s structure and its values, which closely align with my own.
I believe a Home Manager should be reliable, proactive, supportive and a good listener. My favourite part of the day is seeing the difference our team makes to residents’ lives and knowing that we are making a positive impact every day.
One of my biggest career highlights was commissioning and registering a new care home with the CQC. I’m proudest when I see residents happy, safe and feeling part of our big family, as well as seeing team members develop and succeed.
The most important part of my role is ensuring residents are always treated with dignity and respect, while making sure team members feel listened to and supported to make a real difference to residents’ lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy football, travelling and spending time with my family.
