Maids Moreton Hall is very welcoming and friendly. The staff are very helpful and the carers are outstanding, they are so caring, loving and fun, which all the residents want. My dad is very happy and comfortable and well looked after. I'm so glad I chose Maids Moreton Hall. His room has a lovely view
of the beautiful garden and Maids Moreton church.

The very caring staff have consistently (over six years) supported Mum. This comes in so many ways, including personal care, cleaning, feeding, entertainment and activities, listening, humour, management, maintenance, medical support, friendship, etc! The staff are very caring and capable. They vary in their depth of knowledge of residents’ needs, but in the main, they cope very well with some difficult situations. The menu and food involved vary greatly, with very often, portions being too large, even though residents ask for small. Very costly!

My four-week respite at Maids Moreton Hall was very uplifting. The staff were so caring and friendly and helpful. I certainly miss their help in so many ways. I was able to make friends who I shall be pleased to continue to respect and perhaps visit. My room was always kept clean and tidy by the staff
and of course, everywhere was warm.
The district nurse attending to me was so much better than my experience at home.
Senior staff were also very approachable and willing to help where necessary. My stay at Maids Morton Hall will remain in my memory forever. I only wish that my dear wife could also experience the pleasure of your care.

My friend was in Maids Moreton Hall for several months and was not always the easiest of patients. I have nothing but praise for the way the staff were, they were kind, patient and always professional from the reception to the nursing staff. They always encouraged my friend and she developed so much

Each time I visit my friend, I am always given a warm, friendly welcome by the staff. As her only contact in this country, the staff keep me informed of her needs (toiletries, slippers, clothes etc).

My father lived at Maids Moreton Hall for over 7 wonderful years. It was truly his home, he loved living there and all the staff loved him. The care, compassion and dignity to him during the last weeks of his life was outstanding and I cannot praise them enough for everything they have done for him

Very happy with all the support provided to mum during her seven weeks of respite care. Mum came in with just half a day's notice as an emergency and was made very welcome, despite her wishing to go home. We are only moving mum in order that she will be closer to us to facilities visiting otherwise

My mother-in-law moved to Gracewells of Maids Moreton just 3 weeks ago and so far, it has transformed her life. She is happy, well looked after and the staff are second to none. I am genuinely surprised at the difference it has made.
My wife and I now drive home after visits able to relax for the
first time in months, knowing that she is being well looked after and enjoying what appears to be a new chapter in her life.
Thank you Gracewells - you have created a beautiful environment and seem to have an amazing team. Everyone is happy, everyone smiles and nothing is too much trouble.

Gracewell of Maids Moreton is a fantastic care home. As soon as you walk through the door, you are greeted in a friendly, cheery way and made to feel very welcome by everyone. My father has been at Gracewell of Maids Moreton for just over a year now, and I have nothing but praise for the way in which
he is looked after. He is treated with kindness, thoughtfulness and always receives an outstanding level of care. The quality of all the rooms and facilities is first class, and my father always describes the food as being delicious. The beautiful setting of Gracewell of Maids Moreton enables my father to take pleasure in being taken for a walk in the gardens or sitting out on the patios. I am enormously grateful to the wonderful team at Gracewell of Maids Moreton. My husband has Alzheimer's and having recovered from covid19 in May, which included a hospital stay, went into this care home in June 2020 following two negative tests. He was sad, confused, lost, thin, immobile with not much speech. After isolating for two weeks, I was permitted to visit using the
drive-by. He was smiling, content, relaxed and was obviously eating well. He was pleased to see me. I saw him walking a little with the carers help. He smiled at everyone. I could hardly believe the wonderful change - all due to the gentle, kind and professional care give while understand and observing his needs, both mentally and physically. For example; having observed that he liked looking out the window, they moved him so he could see the village church. Being a retired vicar, this was particularly thoughtful and much appreciated. Our family are very grateful to all the staff. I have a great sense of relief knowing he is safe and in such professional and caring hands. They are meticulous and stringent, yet caring in their approach to keeping the residents and staff safe from covid.

My mum has lived at Gracewell of Maids Moreton for over four years. The whole place, the setting, the residents' rooms and the communal areas are all lovely. The care Mum has received there has always been excellent and the staff are fantastic. Mum's health has deteriorated considerably over the past
few months, and the level of care she needs has consequently increased. The staff have been wonderful. They are cheerful, caring and considerate with Mum, always asking her what she would like and keeping me well informed. Thank you to you all.

My mother entered Gracewell in late 2018 and remains a resident at the age of 97. Sadly, Mum's husband (my step-father) passed away in March this year just at the time the Covid-19 pandemic hit the UK with its terrible risks and effects on our entire UK population but in particular on those in the older
age groups. As executor for my step-father and attorney for Mum, I cannot begin to explain how difficult these last three months have been and without the support and understanding of Gracewell, it would have become an even greater nightmare. Touching wood and hoping as I say this, Mum has come through this period and I cannot praise the GM and her nursing and backroom/administrative staff highly enough for their dedication and understanding. I know how much we all look forward to a return to some form of normality. I would support this care home without reservation for your National Award and would be quite happy to discuss my support by telephone or email should you so wish.

My mother has been resident at Gracewell, Maids Moreton, for two years and two months. The care she receives has been excellent, with staff working to a consistently high standard. Whenever I should know something about her condition, staff phone/email me. Health checks and medical care are prompt.
My mother is quite frail with memory loss, macular degeneration and hearing difficulties, but is always treated with kindness as well as efficiency. This I have seen for myself, since I would visit her four times a week before lockdown in the middle of March. Staff facilitate contact with my mother using mobile and iPad. They patiently assist her with this. She enjoys crosswords, and she is assisted with this important amusement. She is talked to and her wishes are consulted civilly at all times. Gracewell, Maids Moreton, have facilitated my speaking to my mother at a safe distance outside. They will sing with her and generally make her feel cared for with affection. Mum feels content and secure.

Before this, I was Director of Governance and Policy within a large health and social care provider. In this role, I set up governance and quality systems, introduced digital systems to improve oversight, and developed organisational processes to ensure compliance and sustainability.


As Home Manager of Maids Moreton Hall, it’s important that I’m resilient, empathetic, and have strong leadership skills. A good manager must be able to listen, solve problems, and support their team to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care. Integrity, accountability, and the ability to adapt to challenges are also vital.


Spending time with residents is the highlight of my day. Hearing their stories, seeing them smile, and knowing that the team and I are making a positive difference to their lives reminds me why I chose this profession.


I am proud when residents and their families feel safe, valued, and supported. I am equally proud of my team when I see them growing in confidence and skills, working together to provide excellent care.


Outside of work, I enjoy family time with my husband and three children, and I’m a big animal lover with dogs and cats at home. I also enjoy travelling and visiting my farm in South Africa, reading, and creative projects.
