The staff are delightful, really kind and very helpful. Staff at every level seem to enjoy their work and ensure that our friend's needs are paramount.
The entrance hall and the first-floor landing are so welcoming and decor and furniture.

We have been delighted with the care afforded to my father following his entry to Maids Moreton Hall in February of this year. It has been a wonderful experience for us to see him settled into what we believe is the best available care. He has responded so well to his circumstances and we are thankful
to have found such a well-managed home, staffed by so many wonderful and considerate carers. They are a credit to themselves and to the leadership under which they are managed.

We moved my Dad to Maids Morton Hall in March of this year from another care home.
From the moment we arrived and settled Dad in he was happy with his new surroundings, his room looked out onto the gardens and the church. Dad went on a trip that was fantastic for him and he continued to chat about
the experience.
The care that Dad was given was second to none from all staff.
We as a family were made to feel part of the Maids Morton family form day one and I class the staff there as friends.
Dad sadly passed away while at the home but he was treated with dignity during his last few days.

I can't thank all of the staff and management for all they did for us in making Dad welcome and part of the home.

Mum has now been at Maids Moreton Hall for two months and we are very happy with the care she is receiving. Her room is lovely and she is very comfortable in her surroundings. We've seen wonderful photos of her taking part in activities and the carers always stop to chat with us whenever we visit. We
are hoping Mum gets out on some of the day trips now the weather has improved, there is a great variety to choose from. We are also planning to book the private dining room for a treat.

Maid Moreton Hall has become my Granny's home, and the staff an extension of our family. Moving Granny was a difficult decision for us all, but she's now closer to us and so much safer. We couldn't be happier with Granny's care and thank all the staff for welcoming her and keeping her safe and happy!

The very caring staff have consistently (over six years) supported Mum. This comes in so many ways, including personal care, cleaning, feeding, entertainment and activities, listening, humour, management, maintenance, medical support, friendship, etc! Our family really appreciates the support throughout,
especially in covid times and as her abilities have reduced over time. Thank you, you are a blessing.

The staff are very caring and capable. They vary in their depth of knowledge of residents’ needs, but in the main, they cope very well with some difficult situations. The menu and food involved vary greatly, with very often, portions being too large, even though residents ask for small. Very costly!

My four-week respite at Maids Moreton Hall was very uplifting. The staff were so caring and friendly and helpful. I certainly miss their help in so many ways. I was able to make friends who I shall be pleased to continue to respect and perhaps visit. My room was always kept clean and tidy by the staff
and of course, everywhere was warm.
The district nurse attending to me was so much better than my experience at home.
Senior staff were also very approachable and willing to help where necessary. My stay at Maids Morton Hall will remain in my memory forever. I only wish that my dear wife could also experience the pleasure of your care.
Thank you all for a very pleasant stay.

My friend was in Maids Moreton Hall for several months and was not always the easiest of patients. I have nothing but praise for the way the staff were, they were kind, patient and always professional from the reception to the nursing staff. They always encouraged my friend and she developed so much
in their care to the point that she felt able to go back to her own home.

Each time I visit my friend, I am always given a warm, friendly welcome by the staff. As her only contact in this country, the staff keep me informed of her needs (toiletries, slippers, clothes etc).
I am sent all the relevant emails concerning activities and meetings.

my situation ie: not being a family member.

The decision to move Mum into care was not easy, however, the help and support all the staff gave to Mum really helped her adjust quickly. The fact that time was taken to understand her and her individual needs reassured me that we had made a good choice. The care extends beyond the resident, I have
really appreciated the support and understanding of all the staff I have met. I feel certain that we can be the best of teams to care for Mum going forward.

My mother has been a resident of Gracewell of Maids Moreton for two months. Since being here she has improved in every way and took a very short time to settle. The staff and carers are welcoming, kind and thorough in their care. The activities programme is impressive and the home and grounds well looked
after. I cannot fault it.

Very happy with all the support provided to mum during her seven weeks of respite care. Mum came in with just half a day's notice as an emergency and was made very welcome, despite her wishing to go home. We are only moving mum in order that she will be closer to us to facilities visiting otherwise
we would most certainly have kept her here.

I certainly made the right decision to come here for two weeks after a hip operation. I have received excellent care from a cheerful and enthusiastic team. In some cases, it has gone beyond just care and has helped with personal problems. Thank you to everyone. This especially applies to the bed and

My mother-in-law moved to Gracewells of Maids Moreton just 3 weeks ago and so far, it has transformed her life. She is happy, well looked after and the staff are second to none. I am genuinely surprised at the difference it has made.
My wife and I now drive home after visits able to relax for the
first time in months, knowing that she is being well looked after and enjoying what appears to be a new chapter in her life.
Thank you Gracewells - you have created a beautiful environment and seem to have an amazing team. Everyone is happy, everyone smiles and nothing is too much trouble.
I am not one to give praise unless it is deserved but in this case, it is more than deserved.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.560)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.560) out of 10 for Maids Moreton Hall is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.635 for Maids Moreton Hall is calculated as follows: ( (152 Excellents x 5) + (42 Goods x 4) + (16 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 211 Ratings = 4.635
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.925 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Maids Moreton Hall is based on 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.925
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 17 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

I completed my nurse training at Buckinghamshire Chiltern University College in 2006 and did postgraduate training at Brighton University.

I began working for Care UK as a carer in 2000, and I found it to be an enjoyable experience where I learned so much. It was what persuaded me to follow a nursing career. I had many great years working in care homes and had served as a Deputy Manager since 2019.

In order to fulfil my role, it’s important to be a keen listener and to be approachable, empathetic and responsive to enquiries. You must be able to receive critiques and complete action plans too, and continuously update your skills and knowledge.

My favourite part of the day is my walk around. It’s a great opportunity to interact with colleagues and residents, and to have a quick overview of the home and the environment. I look forward to continuing to get to know the residents and assisting with risk assessments and care planning, so that care is delivered to an excellent standard.

I love writing poems and songs outside of work, and I enjoy singing and dancing too. I also like to spend time walking in the park and driving around the country.
