It was lovely to see so many families attend this event and the food was as good as always thanks to Dale.
These functions would not be possible if it were not for the dedication of such wonderful people as Beth and Dale.
Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and it was a joy to see the smiles on the female residents and their families.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this lovely feedback. It's wonderful to hear how much the Mother's Day afternoon tea meant to residents and their families. Events like these really do bring everyone together, and it's clear that Beth's thoughtful planning and Dale's consistently...
Orchid is an amazing home for my Mum. All staff are approachable and go out of their way to help you. The nursing staff are great and extremely caring. Nothing is too much trouble! The activities team run great events and varied activities. All the ladies are lovely! Can't fault this Care home and would recommend it hugely.
Thank you for such a lovely review. Its wonderful to hear how well your mum is supported and how much you value the staff and activities team. Your recommendation means a great deal and is truly appreciated.
Our mum has been at Orchid coming up to 3 years. I've often described some of the carers as adopted family. The trust we build and the comfort we get from knowing our mum is in the best place. It is massively important and reassuring to us.
Congrats to all that work there. You make a huge difference.
Thank you so much for sharing this. Its incredibly reassuring to hear how well your mum is being cared for, and the way you describe the team as adopted family says everything about the relationships theyve built with you. Knowing shes safe, supported, and genuinely cared for brings a level of...
My sister and I have both our parents as permanent residents in Orchid, and since our mum joined in June 2025 (followed by dad a couple of months later), we have been extremely impressed in almost every aspect. We visited quite a few care homes in Swindon, and Orchid stood out as the 5 star option. We haven't regretted our choice whatsoever, and although there are always small and rare 'niggles' and we had the odd teething issue, everything that hasn't been perfect, has been addressed and dealt with very well by the management and the brilliant staff. Everyone at Orchid is lovely, friendly and very approachable. In the 9 months, we have rarely seen a staff member leave, so the staff-retention must be high. This indicates that the carers and staff are happy, and happy staff=happy residents=happy families! We visit Orchid most days, and each time we leave, we go away knowing that our parents are in the best possible hands, and are being looked after by some excellent carers.
Thank you for your kind words and for the amazing feedback regarding the care and support that your relatives receive at Orchid Care Home. It is invaluable and also validates the hard work of the entire team.
The food and the staff where excellent, just a really nice day. Looked after my wife with kindness and respect.
Such kind words. It's wonderful to hear the day felt so positive, and that you were both treated with the kindness and respect. The combination of great food, thoughtful staff, and genuine care really does make all the difference.
Valentines day lunch - A wonderful warm experience for my wife and me. lovely food & entertainment. Beth works so hard to make sure events are special.
Such a lovely reflection. It sounds like a really special experience for both of you, and it's wonderful to hear how much care went into making the day feel meaningful. Beth's and the team at Orchid's hard work and warmth really shines through in moments like these.

The home is always clean and well maintained. There always appear to be sufficient staff who are friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Food appears good and plentiful for those with a healthy appetite. Mum needs to be fed but is never rushed, feeding is at her pace.
I'm always kept up to date about Mum's care. I'm unable to visit as often as I'd like but I trust the staff completely. This is Mum's third care home and I don't have to worry about her constantly since she's been with Orchid. Thank you.
