Orchid Care Home

The staff at Orchard Care Home are fantastic, the staff and residents have a great bond, and you can tell that the staff really care for the residents. All in all the care home is a welcoming and happy place.

Excellent care home. My Dad has been there for over a year and very happy. Residents are provided with fun activities to keep them entertained and the health care is fabulous. As a family member the nurses keep you up to date and highlight concerns immediately. Most importantly my Dad is safe a very happy.

Came for Valentine day lunch. Everything was great 100% all round Staff were great with my wife.

A great effort by staff to make life as enjoyable as it can be. Especially on occasions such as today - Valentines Day.

I have received nothing but efficiency and excellent service from this establishment and feel very confident that my mother is in very safe hands. As I have poor health myself, I have been unable to visit Mum in recent months so this is vital to my peace of mind.

The care staff are exceptionally kind, caring and always put the residents' needs above all. This is not just a care home, this is the residents' home. My mother has always been treated with the utmost respect and understanding in sometimes difficult circumstances. So glad we chose this wonderful place for my mother to live.

My mum spent the last 11 months here before she passed away recently. She had dementia but was always treated with kindness, respect and love from all the staff. If there were ever any issues, they were dealt with promptly and efficiently, I always felt listened to and all the team from reception, nurses, carers, activity team and management gave a professional, kind and empathetic care for mum and us, I can't recommend them enough, thank you.

Clean, safe, fabulous, and professional, and the staff was friendly. Really make an effort with special occasions. Really try and make it a home for residents. Encouraged my dad to join in. Take steps to safeguard residents when risks are identified.

This is regarding the acceptance of my Mum, first class service in all areas, and compassion shown to her following the recent passing of her husband. A new chapter of her life at the great age of 90 years, where she can interact with all people and with people with the same capacity as herself, to be looked after and enjoy her time ahead.

The decorations around the home were beautiful too.

I have already recommended the home to others and will continue to do so.

We have received a very warm welcome from Orchid. The staff are all attentive and friendly, and there is a lovely atmosphere in the home. There are plenty of activities for anyone wishing to attend them and I will look forward to visiting. Thank you to everyone at Orchid.

Dad spent the last three months of his life in the care of Orchid Care Home. It was so reassuring for the family to know that he was in such a safe and caring environment, with the most wonderful staff and nurses looking after him.

My mother has been in the Orchid Care Home for two years, during which time her dementia has sadly significantly deteriorated. It has been a great comfort to me and the wider family to know that she is always clean, cared for, safe and treated with respect. The staff go out of their way to encourage her to take part in activities despite her limited capacity. The patience and care of all the staff cannot be faulted. It really does feel like a family - even the admin staff know everyone by name and are always welcoming. I cannot recommend Orchid highly enough.

My husband was admitted to Orchid Care Home in November 2021 and resided there until he passed away in June 2024. During this time, we found the care home to be very clean, well managed and having a wealth of facilities to aid the care of residents. The care my husband received during this time was exemplary, this was particularly felt when he was receiving end of life care. The care and support offered during this time was exceptional and gratefully received. Myself and my family would like to praise and thank the care staff, the nurses and management for looking after my husband and ourselves during this time.

Dad became a character during his stay at the care home, bringing a smile to the team which must have been a boost to them all. Would recommend this home for future residents families, as the care we received helped my family a lot along the way.

I can't recommend this lovely care home enough, the services everybody gave to my friend was absolutely wonderful. All the staff were very helpful and they all seemed to genuinely care for all the residents. Outstanding!
