My mother in law continues to receive fantastic care on the dementia unit at Brook Court. Her needs are well met and communication from the staff is excellent. Food is varied and nutritious and her room is cleaned daily. She enjoys minibus trips with the activity staff and also the namaste sessions offered.

Reception staff are friendly and helpful.
Management are approachable and available for chats and any minor issues. Brook Court keeps us involved with updates and refurbs that are planned.

We are lucky to have them all.

From our first contact with Brook Court we were met with kindness, consideration and reassurance. The decision to place a loved one in residential care is one of the most difficult experiences in life. Everyone at Brook Court has helped us through this, showing empathy and care. Walking into Brook Court now feels like coming home. The bright, positive atmosphere and lovely surroundings lift the spirit. Every single member of staff are amazing and professional. We know that our loved one is so well looked after. A five star experience.

We are very pleased with the care my mum is receiving in Brook Court .
She has been treated with compassion and empathy since arriving ,after a very difficult time spent in hospital .
The staff always treat her as an individual, they have been kind and supportive to help her adjust to living within a care setting. Every staff member we have encountered from the reception team, the care staff, nurses, administration team, domiciliary team ,catering and management are always kind and courteous and reactive to any concerns or issues that we raise.
There is always a choice of food available to accommodate dietary requirements, as well as snacks and fruit . The cafe is a great place to meet up with others.
Mum is encouraged to participate in the social activities taking place , of which there are many. There are also 1:1 sessions if she is not able to participate in the group activities.

Thank you all for making a very distressing time more bearable and for looking after mum so well

Since our initial visit at the end of November to my sister moving to Brook Court a few days ago, our impression has been that. we have made the right choice; she seems very content, safe and well looked after. The home is most impressive, her room is lovely and the staff are both kind and attentive. Meals appear to be of a very high standard, offered either in rooms or in pleasant dining rooms. Visitors are extremely welcome outside .meal times and are bound to be impressed by the facilities and helpful staff. Everything has been truly "five star", although we have yet to experience the full range of activities offered. We fully recommend

Mom and I are both very satisfied with the level of care she is receiving at Brook court.
Mom has resided there for 5 weeks now, and tells me she has not left a bite of food, the meals are of exceptional quality and she is thoroughly enjoying them.
Mom is enjoying attending all the activities, and has made new friends. After 6 years housebound and living alone for the last 4 this is wonderful for her.
Brook court staff are friendly, professional, and supportive.
Mom and I are looking forward to the summer months when we can fully appreciate the beautiful landscaped gardens and the opportunity to sit outside on her patio area.

Overall an extremely positive experience and we are both very happy with Moms care and quality of life at Brook court.

Brook Court is the perfect homely setting for my Mum living with dementia. The newly decorated coffee shop area is welcoming and an ideal place to sit during a visit. The team of housekeepers do an amazing job keeping all areas thoroughly clean and tidy. Fantastic kitchen staff vary menus and there is always a choice at mealtimes. Care staff know residents so so well and tailor care to meet their individual needs. They are warm and kind and very approachable. They always listen to any ideas and input from us as a family.
Activities are optional, but families are welcomed to take part too. A plan for the week is on the notice board so we can be involved.
On days that i can't visit her, i love that i can see what my Mum has or hasn't been up to by using an app to read and view comments and photos. We can also send in photos and messages.
Activities can be crafts and artwork, entertainers and minibus outings.

We feel so lucky as a family to have found Brook Court.

My Step mum was admitted to a palliative care bed a few weeks ago. So far, I have only positive things to say about Brook Court and the whole team.
The Manager clearly leads her team in a very positive way and upholds a caring and person centred philosophy. The Care staff and Nurses are attentive and thoughtful, seeming to value people as individuals, they are always happy to help, stay positive and with good humour even though they are busy.
The chefs cook brilliant food, including cakes and pastries always available in the cafe area. My Step mum loves her meals, and this is very special for her and us, as she hasn't properly enjoyed food for nearly 7 years.

All involved acknowledge and support individual choice. Well done team, you're genuinely doing a great job.

In April this year my mother required a period of respite due to a infection impacting her underlying condition of dementia. After frantically trying to obtain help from her GP and other services, Brook Court came to the rescue. All the staff and care have been exceptional. Would highly recommend. Unfortunately it was not financially viable to keep mom there permanently in long term care due to the high fees.

Driving up the quiet, tree lined, leafy road that leads to Brook Court puts you in a peaceful place to visit your loved ones x Pulling onto the car park you see the well tended garden areas and the well looked after building that puts the care of your loved one in the centre of it's heart x Inside the building you are greeted with smiles from staff, colleagues and from residents alike and the welcoming aroma of proper coffee and freshly baked cake x. Sit outside in the gardens and enjoy the sunshine, or in the cafe area, there's always someone around to talk to as the outside is always buzzing with laughter, chatting, activities and smiles x.

Brook court looked after my sister in her final days, which because of their care, love and companionship was actually 4weeks. Her care was second to none and nothing was too much trouble x My only regret is not finding this place sooner for her x Thank you so much to all involved in my sisters care and to the love that was shown us both x

My father needed the services of a Care home as he was becoming very unwell. From the start of his stay the staff went above and beyond to accommodate his various requests and took the time to ask us about him and his life and what interested him so they could make a connection whilst he stayed at Brook Court. Despite his rapidly declining health, they constantly kept us in the loop were always on hand to answer our many questions and during our visits took the time to talk to us, check our own needs and made us tea and snacks, delivered just at the right moment!

Our family have no doubt Dad was absolutely in the best place for the last few weeks of his life. He died peacefully. The nursing staff were so kind, gentle and understanding of his last few hours and could not have been more kind and genuine to ourselves during a difficult and sensitive time. We were so lucky to have chosen Brook Court for Dad. Thank you to the staff for their kindness and support.

My father-in-law lived at Brook Court for the last 7 months of his life having moved from another provider we were very unhappy with. The home is always clean and tidy. Meals are catered for individual needs. The staff at Brook Court are really caring, sensitive to need and very respectful of residents, treating them with dignity. It is entirely down to the care that my father-in-law received from the staff that his life was extended beyond what was expected. Staff are approachable, warm and friendly, not only to residents but also to families. I have felt very supported by staff during the difficult time of my father-in-law passing away. Especial thanks to his carers for their kindness during a very sad time for us as a family.

I enjoy being part of the team and working shoulder to shoulder with colleagues to face whatever the day may bring. Taking a hands-on approach means I can stay in touch with residents and find out how they are feeling – they are, of course, the most important people here.

I feel incredibly proud of what we do here, seeing residents enjoying their time at Brook Court. I was thrilled to have received five nominations for Deputy Manager of the Year when I was in that role; it meant so much to me.

I make a point of being available to residents, their relatives and colleagues. I enjoy being able to offer support and guidance where I can, but I also recognise how important it is to continue learning.

I decided to join Care UK because of its reputation. I have worked for other healthcare providers, and in my opinion, Care UK is by far the best.
