The Potteries is excellent. All the staff are caring, kind, helpful, friendly and approachable. They react quickly to any queries. The home has a cosy and warm atmosphere and is kept clean and tidy. I have been at The Potteries for 3 weeks now and have settled in well and am also enjoying the food and some activities. A carer or nurse will check on me every hour and help me at meal times. I could not wish to be in a better care home, it is perfect for me.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience.
At The Potteries Care Home - Care UK we set a high standard for ourselves, so we are very pleased to hear that your experience with us has been a positive one.
Many thanks
The Potteries team.
Mum has lived at The Potteries for just over 5 years. During this time her care has been excellent and the support for the family has been decorated with new furniture too which is very welcome. The current staff are all so friendly and the food is excellent.
My mother spent 3 weeks in The Potteries care home. The room was lovely overlooking the gardens. We were met by the manager who explored everything to us. Even had a welcome card and gift bag - nice touch. Staff seemed caring, everywhere was very clean and residents seemed content. The lady on reception was a bit distant, no conversation - a visitor to my mum also mentioned this. Otherwise mum seemed very happy.
We would like to assure you that our staff always enjoy seeing loved ones visiting the home and spending time with residents. We apologise if you felt any disconnect...
Thank you to everyone single person for their dedication to assisting in the last years of my mothers life!

Mum was here for 18 months. She had dementia. Her care was second to none. Unfortunately she passed away in August. The staff attitude through the sad time was lovely. Caring and so helpful throughout. I thoroughly recommend The Potteries.

As the weeks pass, I have become more and more impressed by The Potteries! All the employees are so welcoming and friendly, always greeting residents by their first name. They are also always smartly dressed (and colour coded too!). The food is interesting, well balanced, and the Help Yourself Cafe is excellent (particularly now after the new machine has been installed)! Residents' clothes are washed and ironed daily. There is a lovely garden to walk in for exercise. There are daily activities, and the "one-to-ones" are extremely popular. Local musicians visit and are very much appreciated.

My mother has been a resident since April of this year, and I can't praise all the staff enough. They all know her by name and treat her with genuine kindness and respect. She takes part in many of the activities offered, and the activities team clearly put a lot of effort into creating a fun and stimulating environment for the residents. The home is always clean and really welcoming, and the cakes in the cafe are delicious! I am pleased with the care she receives, and it gives me peace of mind knowing she's in such capable hands.

We have been very happy with the service and environment provided by The Potteries. Dad is safe - our primary concern, but also cared for, genuinely, by all the staff, from the nursing staff providing his primary care through to front of house and maintenance. Everyone knows Dad's name and they all say hello and make the time to engage with him. The activities are also second to none, they're varied and engaging and are keeping his spirits high. I would love to see more 'DIY' type activities for dad - he loved the gentleman's club but it is only once a month. If there was a possibility of more of this, that would be great!
Thank you for sharing your thoughtful feedback regarding The Potteries. We are incredibly pleased to hear that your father feels safe, supported, and comfortable in our home. Your comments regarding our staff are also greatly appreciated. We welcome your feedback regarding activities. We always aim...
I would have no hesitation in recommending The Potteries for the care of their loved one. Our mum was so happy there, and her last few weeks of life were treated with genuine care and dignity. All levels of staff were outstanding and showed genuine care and support, not only to mum, but also us as a family. Nothing was too much trouble. We cannot thank you all enough for your love and understanding in those last few weeks.

We have all been very impressed with The Potteries. They have gone out of their way to make sure my father has settled in. They have gone the extra mile to help with his rehabilitation when the NHS hasn't really been able to help him yet due to a lack of resources. All members of staff are very polite and are always smiling. We couldn't have asked for more.

You are all amazing and not sure how we can ever repay you. I know some times he was challenging especially if he didn't have his dinner on a hot plate or if his hot cross buns were not toasted how he liked them, but he thought you were all brilliant.
The last couple of months have been challenging with dad deteriorating until he took his final breath on Sunday.
You have been our life line over the last few months and dad thought the world of you all.
Not sure how we would have got through this without out you.
Thanks again to everyone who cared for dad, you are all very special people xx

The home is welcoming with a bright and airey reception and cafe area. The staff are very caring and pay great attention to detail , everyone seemed to know her name from day one .
I delivered her case the afternoon before admission , her clothes were taken and immediately named and were hanging in her wardrobe/ drawers when we arrived . The lifestyle team encouraged mum to take part in activities of which there are many .Mum enjoyed the meals and the chef and team provided lovely cakes everyday for the cafe.
Many thanks to all at the potteries , would definitely recommend if you are looking for a care home .

The warmth felt by my Mum was reciprocated with the team being known as 'her girls'. In the short time Mum was there she was so very well cared for.
The family had regular messages from the team to keep us involved with Mum's care. We were always made to feel welcome when visiting.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Potteries.
Dad loved the staff and the staff loved him, it says something when I'm missing the team as they've become such a big part of my routine.

Meet the Team (1)

I began my social care career as a carer and worked my way up. That’s given me a very helpful perspective and understanding of what my team does. Even now, I’m always ready to roll up my sleeves and help if the need arises.
I believe that effective care is personalised care. Our team gets to know each resident well. We know what they enjoy doing, and we help them to continue to experience those things.
It’s also vital to keep up-to-date with developments in care so that we can bring benefits to residents. We recently took delivery of a Tovertafel, or ‘magic table’, which uses the latest technology to enable residents to play simple, fun interactive games, either on their own or with others. The tables have proven benefits: helping people who are living with dementia to develop their communication and cognitive skills and mobility.
