Overall Experience
My mum has lived in Lancaster Grange for 18 months. The care at the home is superb- the carers all care for the residents with such care and attention. The food is amazing, and l can personally say is to suit the conditions of the residents.
The activities are outstanding and everyday there is something different to ensure that the residents are physically and mentally stimulated. The activities are themed throughout the year.

I would strongly recommend the home for any family members.

Overall Experience
Both parents-in-law joined the home early 2025 and the care delivered to my father-in-law up until his death was excellent and catered to his individual nursing needs well.

My mother-in-law is living a beautiful life with up to 4 daily activities including trips out, singing, art, talks, music, visits from animals and children. The list of activities is absolutely endless and the activity leaders are so encouraging and caring. At home her dementia meant a cycle of little to entertain and engage her but at Lancaster Grange she is truly living a new and enlivened life. She enjoys the dining experience, has made many friends and her well-being has improved a thousand fold.

My family has had an association with Lancaster Grange for 18 months, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care and support provided.
Most recently, my mother has been living in the dementia community, and it has been reassuring to see how kind, patient and attentive the staff are with her every day. The team genuinely care about the residents as individuals and work hard to create a warm, safe and engaging environment.
Before my father's passing, he received excellent nursing care at Lancaster Grange. During what was a very difficult time for our family, the staff showed immense professionalism, compassion and dignity, ensuring he was comfortable and well cared for. We will always be grateful for the support they provided to both him and our family.

One of the things that particularly stands out is the wide range of activities on offer. There is always something happening, whether it's entertainment, crafts, social events or opportunities for residents to stay active and involved.

The care that mum recieves is superb, however, there are times when no carers are available (waited 70 minutes) and Mum has had to urinate in her bed. Also, time critical medication has been administered up to 80 minutes late, on at least two occasions this month.

My dad had 2 weeks respite care after my mum was admitted to hospital. This was his 2nd placement in Lancaster Grange. Once again I found the care given to my dad was very good. Many of the staff recognised my dad and their attitude towards him was professional, warm and friendly. During my visits I found all levels of staff to be approachable and informative. I would have no hesitation in requesting more regular respite placements for my dad in Lancaster Grange with a view to full time care in the future if and when needed. Thank you all.

Our mum was only in Lancaster Grange for a short time for end of life care. The team here are absolutely amazing. The care and compassion given not only to our mum, but to all our family when visiting was incredible. We are so pleased she came to stay here. We were with mum right until the end, nothing was too much trouble. The home is very well maintained with beautiful gardens. I would not hesitate to recommend Lancaster Grange to anyone looking for a care home for a loved one.

As before, my wife has been a resident of Lancaster Grange Care Home. After treatment has been consistently of the highest standard. The staff all seem to be caring and act in a consistant way, recording every face to face encounter with my wife and recording their experience on digital handsets. The room is always tidy and the beds and linens clean. I am kept really informed of my wife's condition, by face to face encounter on telephone by both senior dementia staff and doctors. The whole experience from entering the home to leaving leaves me totally satisfied that my wife is in the best possible place.

I had extremely good help and care today today, 15th March, above and beyond, from 2 staff members in particular dealing with me in what was a unusual situation for me, they were kind and professional in what could have been stressful for me. I have thanked them personally but wished to pass on my experience.

My aunt was in Lancaster Grange for only 4 weeks before she sadly passed away. I cannot praise all the staff enough for their care of my aunt. They were all very helpful & couldn't do enough for her to keep her comfortable during her short stay.

We were kept informed all the time as to what was happening. I would not hesitate to recommend Lancaster Grange to anyone

Moving Mum to residential care was a huge decision. Lancaster Grange stood out immediately in terms of attitude, ease of planning and listening to our needs. Mum, in spite of her devastation admitting she could no longer cope on her own and leaving her beloved home, has settled in beautifully. After 10 months, she feels Lancaster Grange is her home. The staff feel like family. There is a wonderful sense of community. As her family, I feel as much a part of Lancaster Grange as the residents and staff alike. Obviously, I'd like Mum to be living independently but Lancaster Grange comes a very close second.

Such a lovely review and we are extremely grateful. Your mother is a huge part of our lives here and now an even bigger part of mine as she's just two doors down. We all love her positivity and I can't wait to see her spending time in her garden area in the spring. Absolutely all the best.

On Monday I had the pleasure of taking my favourite mother-in-law in her wheelchair for a visit to Fernwood park opposite the home. It was organised by the senior activities coordinator, assisted by members of staff (some who had come in to help on their day off!) and volunteers. What a great idea. It made twelve residents very happy, especially as it included an ice cream! Thank you and well done.
