My husband is very poorly - his alziemers can be very testing for the staff.
They have dealt with his problems with dignity + calm. I cannot fault the staff here. They have been very supportive of myself with the hard decision I made for my husband into pemenant care.

I cannot thank them enough - from care staff, to all staff who make my husbands life possible.

My dad moved into Dukes Court after a long stay in hospital - unable to go home as no longer safe - lots of risks at home. Dukes Court I have found to be the perfect home - with loving, kind, professional staff who, within 1 week, understood my Dad's needs and wishes; medical and physical. It's a comfortable environment that my dad feels safe in and has already started to interact with others and put on weight. Thank you.

We couldn't be happier with the care our mum receives here. The staff are genuinely kind, patient, and treat her with real dignity and respect. They have taken the time to understand her needs and personality, which has made her feel comfortable. We feel that the standard of care is excellent, with great communication, clear and reassuring. We feel confident knowing she is in safe and capable hands. We are incredibly grateful to all the staff members.

My dad has been at Dukes Court since 16/2/26. He has been for respite care in the past and he loves the place. Everyone knows him and now he is a resident he is in his element. The staff are wonderful. Caring and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and they encourage Dad to get involved with the activities. Dukes Court is a wonderful care home and the care provided is superb. Thank you.

Both my mum and stepdad are in Dukes Court (since 07/25). The care and attention for their needs is fantastic. My stepdad has been very challenging but they have sorted him out with dignity and love.

My mother used this service for restbite. It is the third carehome in the last six months as she has both physical, and mental needs due to her progressive vascular dementia and Alzheimer's. In the past her physical needs have been neglected and she returned home with raw, sore skin.

The very day we arrived at Dukes Court I was informed that they had preordered her barrier cream from her GP. The care, attention and kindness has been outstanding and as a family we could not be happier. We have decided that this will now be her permanent home.

Our Dad Barrie was as in Dukes care home for just over 2 years. What a wonderful and happy place.
We live up in Glasgow so was such a peace of mind knowing he was well looked after, by you all and he had the rest of family near by too.
We came to visit at least 4 times a year and each time after the 7 to 8 hour drive we were always welcomed with a cup of coffee and a home made yummy cake. (The chocolate cup cake being our favourite)
The staff are amazing and the entertainment interactive and fun.

Thanks all for all your support whilst Dad was with you and the support afterwards too.

My dad has been in Dukes court care home for two and a half years and I wouldn't have him any where else they are exceptional in the care they give to my dad. In January my dad was placed on end of life care when he fell Ill and I decided to keep dad at the home. It was the best decision as all staff were outstanding and prepared me for each stage and made dad comfortable and treated him with such dignity. They allowed me and my dog to stay with dad till he passed which made it so comfortable for me knowing I could be with him. Staff were outstanding and looked after myself and my dog along with my dad. I'm so grateful dad spent his time at dukes and wouldn't have wanted him anywhere else he was happy and settled for his time there and staff went above and beyond at all times but the care they gave dad in the last week was exceptional. Thank you to you all for everything you did for dad I never can than you enough. Wouldn't recommend anywhere else amazing home.

My mum has been at Dukes Court for almost three years and she is very happy there. Many of the care staff have worked there for many years and mum has become very close to them. They are caring and compassionate and often go the extra mile to ensure the residents are happy and well cared for.
The home is always clean and well presented and a credit to the cleaning staff who are also amazing.
There's always lots of activities going on which ensures residents are kept entertained and socialised. My mum's favourites are bingo, arts and crafts and film afternoon where they are treated to hot chocolate whilst watching their film of choice. They often have professional singers in to entertain everyone which is always very popular with both residents and staff.

I feel my mum is happy and safe at Dukes Court and as a daughter that is all I could wish for so THANK YOU.

For over a decade I've taught financial advisers about long term care. I've written books on the subject - I know a bit about care. I say this because I hope it'll add something when I say that I wouldn't have my mum live anywhere other than Duke's Court now. The way the home is run, the staff who work there, the care taken on the home environment and resident treatment is just brilliant.

From day one, when I was invited to go and look round at any time I knew this was a home proud of the care it gives. When the manager talks about this being a real 'home' for residents and it being like a family, I know she means it.

The rooms are clean and well maintained; residents are invited to really make themselves at home with their own belongings. Communal areas have recently been redecorated, though they were very nice before. Further work is ongoing and that's only going to improve it further. With their own chef, the food is great too! I'd advise anyone to consider Duke's Court.

My wife was accepted at Dukes Court 12th June 2025 as her dementia had reached a stage when I could not look after her anymore
I was, obviously, apprehensive but with no need
Dukes court is a lovely, homely, place where I feel 100% assured she is professionally but lovingly cared for
She has her own room with en suite toilet/shower room

There is a welcoming lounge with regular activities and a dining room any hotel would be pleased with.

I would highly recommend Dukes Court

Mum found it very difficult to settle in, but the staff were very sympathetic and understanding, they went out of their way to distract and engage her when we left after each visit. Being deaf she gets bored very easily as she is unable to join in many of the activities. But does enjoy carpet bowls. Overall we as a family are happy with her care and have peace of mind that she is in a safe place and getting very good care.

Dukes Court is a very good care home. The staff are excellent and provide excellent care in a positive, supportive environment. The building is well suited to its current enterprise and the rooms are comfortable and of a good size. Food is maybe basic, but perhaps what the residents want. 'Value for money' is always a matter of opinion and all across the sector, the service is expensive. My mother is currently a private payer, I am not sure how evenly the payment burden is split between private payer and the taxpayer. But overall, excellent.

Every day, we are committed to creating a home where residents feel safe, valued, respected, and supported to live life to the fullest. It is a privilege to be part of so many special moments and to make a positive difference to the lives of the people who call Dukes Court home.

Supporting and developing our team is something I am deeply passionate about. I believe that when colleagues feel valued, inspired, and empowered, they provide the very best care for our residents. Creating a positive, inclusive workplace where everyone feels appreciated is incredibly important to me, and I take great pride in fostering a culture of kindness, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Outside of work, I have a real passion for interior design and creating beautiful spaces. I also love travelling, experiencing different cultures, and discovering new places to eat with family and friends.

I originally started my career working in retail where I worked for many years.
I eventually decided I wanted a change in career, That's when I found this perfect job at Dukes Court with a great team to work alongside.
I have been at Dukes Court for nearly 2 years now!
I find my job so rewarding, learning new things all the time about our residents.
You will often see us having a dance and sing-song to some old style classics as well as showing our artistic side in our arts and crafts sessions, Why don't you come along and see for yourself!
One to ones are very important part of my role in wellbeing for those who may not be able to physically join in with group activities.

Its a pleasure to go home at night time knowing I've made a difference and bought fun and happiness in to the day, not only to our residents but there family members too
