Elsyng House

It was a difficult decision to place dad into a care home. I viewed Elysng House and was impressed by the cleanliness of the place, the facilities on offer and most of all, the staff's kindness. The staff have been very understanding at this difficult time and are looking after dad very well.

Every member of staff from management, office, reception and all staff on Cherry (Floor 2) were exemplary. The care to us all, professionalism and appropriateness will stay with us forever. You allowed my dad to die in peace and with dignity. We felt very supported in this difficult time.

Generally, all the staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The environment is very nice especially the communal cafe where usually residents/family/visitors sit and socialise. The coffee is gorgeous. There's a nice garden to sit outside that's easily accessible. Mum's room is a decent size, decorated to a high standard and there's a nice feel to it and the entire home. The staff seem happy and sociable. The food is very nice too. I like the Resident Of The Day scheme where a resident is focused on.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. Truly caring and compassionate. I felt welcomed as a visitor. The facilities are lovely and well-kept. A warm friendly 'hotel-like' feel.

Elsyng House have been very professional and the level of care has been exemplary. Very attentive and kind. Thank you to the deputy manager and the senior client relationship manager for arranging Mum's care. A special mention to 6 members of staff in particular. Thanks to all the team who made Mum's experience at the home so wonderful, as she has now passed on.

My mum has received excellent care and is very content and happy. She has made some nice friends and the staff will go out of their way for her. The house is beautiful, everyone is very welcoming with an open-door policy. Lovely place to relax with my mum in the lounge or garden. I highly recommend Elsyng House.

I had been researching care homes for my mother and visited three others before going to Elsyng House. The moment I walked into the home I felt reassured and knew that this was the best place for my mother. Most importantly residents are treated with care and respect and the staff are all professional and super helpful from senior personnel to reception, catering and housekeeping. My mother had been in hospital for five months prior to being transferred to Elsyng and that period had been extremely difficult and stressful but since her move in July, I know I found the best home for her and that's a huge relief. Thank you.

Up to now no problems. All the staff are very nice. It's kept very clean around the home. I am very happy with all the people I mix with. I am happy to have company every day. I am treated with respect all around the house. I like the garden very much and like to be in the fresh air. On the whole, I am very happy here. I would love to go on outings more to get out of the house.

The overall experience is perfect ranging from the staff, the cleaners, the management etc. The care they give to the residents and visitors is nothing but amazing overall it couldn't be more perfect.

A superb care home, period!

The home is a very clean modern building. From day one have felt very welcome. The staff are friendly and professional and very caring. My mother who has dementia is cared for exceptionally well I have no complaints. My mother is very happy as I feel are all the residents. My mother is being happy and cared for means the world to me and in such a lovely place she calls home.

Amazing care support at this home.

The two friends I visit are often disappointed with the food. I feel that as you age the enjoyment of food is so important.

Reception - unfailingly welcoming and helpful. The floor my wife is on has no one with her specifically for her condition so she finds life quite difficult. With the sunny weather though she has benefitted from being out in the very garden, making friends who are intelligent and lucid. The hospitality staff are outstanding. I would like to see more treatment given though I realise this condition has no immediate remedy - we can hope. The care staff work hard and stay cheerful in often difficult situations and circumstances. Thank you to them.

Mum has settled into Elsyng House well. We were very worried about how she would settle but it has gone better than expected. As mum has Alzheimer's disease she can find transition difficult but she seems happy and well cared for mum has joined in with activities and enjoys the company of others. Mum has enjoyed attending the monthly mass.

My husband has been at Elsyng House for over 18 months. The team there have been extremely supportive and really taken the time to get to know us. From the carers to the hospitality team, management to healthcare professionals, nothing is too much to ask. They have regular meetings with relatives to ensure the utmost service and care, taking on board feedback to help improve. My husband’s needs have increased over the time he has been there, which has been seamlessly adhered to. We are extremely grateful to the whole team and know that he is safe and well looked after.

I just wanted to pass on our thanks and appreciation to all the staff, starting from the lovely welcome we always received from the Receptionist and the other Receptionist. Mr M came to stay for palliative care and he found his wings on Friday and has gone to be reunited with his wife and friends. I was very touched by the angel wings on his doors - a beautiful touch. All the staff have been nothing but hospitable, kind, and friendly and I know Mr M was in the best place for his last few weeks.

My father has been a resident since May 2023 and we as a family have been very pleased with his stay at Elsyng House. He has thrived as a resident and his physical health has improved in this time. We wouldn't want him to be anywhere else!

The overall ambience of Elsyng is fantastic and always has a nice smell. The bistro area is a huge bonus to residents and visitors. All rooms are of excellent quality. All staff and management are friendly and approachable. The entertainment team are faultless. There is concern in the mornings as showers have to be asked for and then offered between 08:30 am-9:00 am. It seems that the night shift handover doesn't want to do it. Residents should be checked regularly throughout the day, night shift should be quieter. Two nurses in particular are fantastic, receptionists are great also.
