Elsyng House

Mum has been in the home for 4 months and during this period I have been very impressed with the standard of care given to my mum. The staff show great care and consideration. We are both very happy with the home. A very difficult decision has been made a pleasant experience for my mum.

We are so happy with Elsyng House, the staff are all like family to Mum. Beautiful clean environment and the entire team are amazing. We feel very confident and we trust them all to look after my mum like we would do. The loving care from the management, one person especially when we needed help for my mum to come here and stay. Also, the head nurse who dealt with all my mum's medical needs has been so supportive. Thank you Elsyng House, we love you.

From my initial contact with Elsyng House, I have been given outstanding support in providing care for my mother. The accommodation and facilities are great but what makes Elsyng House special is the staff. From the cleaner to the head of floor they are all very friendly and professional but above all very caring. On occasions, they do seem to be rather short of staff but they still deliver a good service with a smile.

Just excellent. Our cousin (87) spent 9 very happy months at Elsyng. She was bright, loved the food and company and activities after a spell in the hospital. The accommodation is clean, modern and luxurious and the care staff a wonderful. At Elsyng, nothing is too much trouble. Visiting her was pleasurable as she was so contented. When asked why she didn’t attend any of the meetings, she said "Why do I need to, I have nothing to complain about." The friends that visited her all said how happy she was at Elsyng. We would recommend Elsyng without reservation.

My mum has dementia and has been at this care home for over a year. The facility is great and the staff are very understanding and helpful. It is very well managed and responsive to the residents needs. I can't imagine a better place for my mother to be looked after.

My uncle was transferred to Elsyng House direct from hospital, as he could not manage on his own at home any longer. He appears to be happy there and his outlook has improved. It has been a big change for him and all the family and friends, but the staff are so wonderful, caring and thoughtful. They make their residents and their visitors feel at home. I would not hesitate to recommend Elsyng House.

My experience visiting my mother-in-law at Elsyng House has been brilliant. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The house is very clean, very welcoming and the facilities provided for family and friends visiting is brilliant. All in all, I would give Elsyng House 10 out of 10 - love it. Would recommend it to anyone considering to put an elderly family member in a home to be cared for.

My mother came to Elsyng House in October, she had felt life had become too hard but it's still a challenge to leave the place you've called home for many years. Elsyng House is beautifully decorated and laid out, the facilities are great and it doesn't feel like being in a care home, more like a boutique hotel. But far more important than the surroundings are the wonderful people that work in Elsyng. The kindness and dedication are incredible and I would love to list people individually but I may miss someone and I wouldn't want to do that. Nothing is too much trouble and they are so respectful, kind, compassionate and friendly and they make the place feel safe and homely for my mother, I couldn't want more. I would like to thank each and every member of staff for their contribution, no words can express the peace it gives me.

The home itself was a lovely environment for patients to be in, safe, exceptionally clean with a calm and peaceful atmosphere. There there were many activities going on throughout the day, it really did feel like being at home with lots of facilities for patients, their every need is catered to.

My mum transferred to Elsyng directly after a three-week, rather harrowing, experience in the hospital and was in the home for less than four weeks before she passed away. However, my experience with the staff from beginning to end was that they are all very professional, caring, kind and supportive. The home was kept very clean and tidy, and the nursing, care and support team were exceptional. Staff were always very welcoming, kind and considerate to mum and all the family. Mum was bed bound and was unable to take part in the activities on offer but, being inclusive, the entertainment team took the therapy dog and rabbit to her room, which she enjoyed. The hairdresser also attended to her hair in her room. Mum was unable to take advantage of the food, but it looked very appetising with a good choice, and the Bistro pastries and cakes for residents and families were always very nice and fresh. I have no hesitation in recommending Elsyng, who takes care of your loved one and their family too.

Our father moved into Elsyng House after two months in hospital, he was on palliative care. His treatment by management, carers and all members of staff was kind, gentle, patient and understanding. Dad was a proud man and tried hard to maintain his dignity whilst being confined to bed, many carers and hospitality staff went that extra mile to make sure that his pride was maintained, taking an interest in his past achievements and encouraging him to participate where possible in the day to day plans and activities. The staff at Elsyng House were not only caring towards our dad but also to our mum, my sister and myself who between us visited Dad every day until he passed away this January. When Dad passed away, everything was done to ensure a peaceful, tranquil and calm morning for us all as we spent a while with Dad to say our goodbyes. I recommend Elsyng House to anyone who needs provision of care in a Care Home.

My mum went to Elsyng House for a respite last year whistle I was on holiday. When I returned mum decided she wanted to stay as she had made friends and released she could not cope on her own anymore. I can't praise the staff enough for their care and attention, not only to my mum but to all the residents there.

The rooms are very spacious and very well decorated. This home is a 5-star residential place I would not want to move mum anywhere else.

My mother has experienced excellent nursing care at Elsyng House Care Home. Her confidence in walking has grown throughout her stay. Every staff member is professional, friendly and very helpful. The home itself is at an excellent level of amenities, cleanliness and pleasant decor.

My husband has just spent two weeks in respite care while I underwent an operation; this is the second time I have had to use the care home. I have no complaints whatsoever about the care he received. The staff are so caring and attentive to their resident's needs, and every request is met with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble.

My father is a resident of Elsyng House; he moved into the care home in January this year. He has settled now and is happy with the care he receives from all the staff. In my opinion, looking at other care homes in the area, this one seemed so much nicer and does not feel like a care home. The rooms are lovely, and the lounges and bistro are also excellent. I believe we made the right choice as a family.

Her diet is the best it has been, and her physical care she receives is done with empathy and care and is tailored to her individual needs. I am so happy I found Elsyng's House for her.

My mum went into Elsyng care home at the end of November - we are so grateful that she is in such a loving home the staff are amazing and caring. Mum has found it difficult leaving her flat but the staff make it feel like home - we are always made welcome when we visit and have peace of mind that our mum is being cared for. Thank you to all the staff you are the best.

My husband moved to Elsyng House in December 2022 from another care home in Sussex. The first few days were difficult for him and for his family as he started to adjust to a new environment, but the staff were respectful of his wish to stay in his room while encouraging him to have his lunch in the dining room and participate in activities. They were so brilliant, kind and mindful of his needs, dislikes and likes that he’s now adapted really well to his new home, making friends and taking part in the floor’s life. His medical needs are fully met, with care and attention from the carers. The staff at Elsyng, at all levels, are what makes this care home so special: a caring, efficient, professional and clean environment where my husband can spend his remaining time feeling understood and valued as a human being. Families are kept informed both on an individual basis and through family meetings for all relatives, run by the general manager. An excellent care home.

I went and saw him in his new room, I was so impressed by the way that all his belongings have been transferred to the new room and his pictures hung in exactly the same place as they had been in his previous room.

He said to me that he was overwhelmed by how much people were willing to do for him. The contrast between being back home and being in hospital is like night and day, and it's obvious that he appreciates it. it shows that we definitely made the right choice in choosing Elsyng for last year as he has that feeling of familiarity and care.
