Gainsborough Hall Care Home

Gainsborough Hall is a well run and welcoming home. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and I felt that I was always leaving my mother in good hands. Whenever I contacted the home, nothing was too much trouble for the receptionist, and I was always kept well informed of my mothers progress. The home has beautiful rooms with the residents having their own facilities. As a guest, you are always made to feel welcome. I would like to thank everyone for the care my mother received.

Very disappointed. Having picked this home carefully and according to reviews it absolutely did not deliver. Terrible communication, poor management, understaffed and incomplete paperwork. We were unable to talk or communicate with our father when he was in end of life care as phones were not answered emails ignored and reception left unmanned. When we did visit to say goodbye our father was in his room in the dark with no television or stimulation or a drink of water. Staff were not available or on hand and when he sadly passed away he was without his wedding rings. These have not been found.

Very very poor communication. Paperwork procedures not followed. Switchboard left ringing out constantly. Unable to speak to either our father or his carers on a regular basis. Unable to speak to our father over Christmas at all. Emails unanswered and doctor's visits not promptly reported.

My mum was resident in Gainsborough Hall from Jan 2020 to March 2021. The facilities, food, environment etc. are absolutely superb, but that is not what puts Gainsborough Hall a cut above the rest, that is entirely because of the amazing staff. They are kind, caring, compassionate, efficient and thoughtful. They treat the residents as family and genuinely care for them; sharing tears, laughter and affection. I was heartbroken that I could not be with Mum for a year, but I was comforted by the fact that she was safe and happy with her Gainsborough family.

This is an excellent care home, everyone is always made welcome. Staff are so friendly. Everywhere just always looks clean. I certainly would recommend Gainsborough Hall Care Home to friends etc and people in our local church. I come here every day to see my friend and am always made welcome. Well done, Gainsborough Hall.

The care, respect and affection given to my father during a year at Gainsborough Hall were unfailingly excellent. The weeks leading to his death were made bearable for him and us by the staff. We never had a moment of doubt that whatever time of day or night we visited, we would be made welcome and find him as comfortable and cared for as possible. Gainsborough Hall is bright, cheerful, modern, clean and a most enjoyable place to visit. We got to know the cleaners, carers, nurses, receptionists and chefs. They were all friendly, efficient and welcoming. It is an outstanding place.

The overall experience of care, accommodation, dietary needs and care to detail is excellent. Couldn't be happier for my husband to be here.

My Mother received the most wonderful care and respect at Gainsborough Hall. Every member of staff without exception are first class, caring, helpful, friendly and always a kind word and a smile on their faces. Myself and my family will always be grateful for the care Mum was given in the last few weeks of her life.

After a poor experience in another home, my mum, moved to Gainsborough Hall, what a contrast! Gainsborough Hall is beautiful. The staff are superb:- professional, caring, understanding and, clearly, well trained. As a family, we really, truly, could not thank them enough for everything they did for us and our mum. Exceptional care in exceptional surroundings. Mum's last weeks wouldn't have been so good without them.

The standards at Gainsborough Hall were excellent and the facilities wonderful. Cleanliness was top notch but most important for me was the high levels of care afforded to my brother whilst he stayed here. All of the staff were wonderful with him and it was easy to see that the care was good with all the residents. I cannot recommend highly enough, so a big thank you.

From the first day my grandma arrived through to the current day (27/3/19) she has received the best possible support from the best possible people. I had reservations about care homes for my grandma but Gainsborough has completely changed my mindset. The management have been excellent in ensuring she has the care she needs and obviously take time to employ friendly and welcoming staff to add to the overall vibe of the home. The facilities and food are high and I would recommend this home to anyone who wants top quality care services for elderly relatives. The lady on reception is just wonderful which makes such a big difference for first impressions.

The home is first class and very well run. It is more like a hotel. It is like no other nursing home my mother has stayed in. Nothing is too much trouble. This is a modern, spacious, light and airy purpose built care home with car parking in the centre of Leamington Spa. Convenient for all facilities. Food, activities and level of care excellent. I am delighted I chose this for my mother. She is happy and is treated with respect and dignity. Thank you to all the staff.

Gainsborough Hall has shown my parents-in-law the utmost care and respect, providing a quality of intimate care that maintains a very high level of dignity. The food is excellent and the staff are kind and friendly. Whilst they are the most professional care team I have ever met, they are also so lovely that it is like leaving my parents-in-law with family. It is so reassuring to know that they are with people who genuinely care about them as people, not just as service users, and enables us to live 150 miles away with no concerns.

We definitely recommend this care home. My father has dementia and is receiving the highest quality of care there, we could have wished for. The staff are professional and caring, treating my father with dignity and have also shown utmost consideration and affection towards my mother during this difficult time. The Gainsborough is in a great location and has excellent facilities, beautifully decorated rooms and most importantly a warm and caring environment. This is a wonderful care home and we would like to thank everyone who works there.

I visited my friend for the first time today. I was immediately impressed with the very helpful and obliging receptionist! My friend's room was really beautiful, very spacious and beautifully furnished. It was clean and the two members of staff I did meet were very friendly and helpful. I look forward to my next visit.

Overall a very positive atmosphere - each visit is a pleasure.

The home looks more like a luxury 5-star hotel. They've done a great job.
