This luxury care home is set in a quiet residential area close to the heart of Sutton Coldfield and convenient for Birmingham, the wider West Midlands, and South Staffordshire.
They are proud to have been internally accredited with the evidence-based, person-centred Care Fit for VIPS.
Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge. Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

Our mom has recently moved into Bishops Manor and we are all very happy with the way she is being looked after and is settling in. After this short time my mom is already looking more like her old self, dressing lovely every day and moving around the home to chat with new friends and the wonderful staff. I can't praise all the staff highly enough for taking the time to get to know Mom as well as looking after her. As a family it is a pleasure to go and visit Mom as we are made to feel at home. The bistro area is lovely as we can sit with Mom and help ourselves to refreshments and yummy homemade cakes. Mom loves to see us fed and watered. Then we enjoy sitting in the garden with the grandchildren. We also enjoy sitting with Mom watching the live entertainment and seeing the smiles on people's faces.

We are pleasantly surprised how my parents have joined in with the daily activities which we originally thought they would resist. These provide both stimulation and variety which, when they were at home, they would not otherwise have had. As a result, this has been an asset to their general well-being.

Mum has Alzheimer’s and has been living at Bishops Manor for 3 years. This care home is amazing! All staff and carers are so friendly, welcoming and caring. They really do go above and beyond and we are so grateful for all they do to keep Mum safe, clean and happy. There are plenty of activities each day to keep the residents entertained. Even though Mum can’t get involved in as much as she could 3 years ago, the carers still involve her in activities which are suitable like baking, sensory, music, arts and craft. I would highly recommend Bishops Manor.

I visited the home today with my friend who was visiting his uncle. My friend had told me how good the home is but I was surprised at the welcome we received. The lady on reception was friendly and welcoming to us both. A large group of residents were gathered in reception where a lady was holding a seated activity. When my parents moved to this home 4 years ago there was reluctance from both of them. I had researched other care homes and Bishop's Manor really stood out, straight away. It immediately felt welcoming; more like a hotel than a nursing home. My dad had dementia and was 'going downhill' rapidly at home. Mum did her best but it became impossible for her to get any proper rest with Dad's condition. It took a while but Dad thrived with all the tender loving care that surrounded him and Mum was able to have some time to herself knowing he was well cared for. When the weather allowed, the garden was a great comfort to my mother. Dad passed away 3 years ago, surrounded by carers he knew (during Covid) and Mum was able to establish a new routine for herself. The facilities at Bishops' Manor are excellent and visitors (post-Covid) are always welcomed. It is never an easy decision to leave a family home but the staff here do everything they can to help everyone feel 'at home'. Thank you all.

I moved into Bishops Manor in March 2023. I am a younger person living with a complex medical condition. I tried two other homes in Sutton Coldfield but never settled as my needs were not met. The team and management have taken the time to get to know me and I feel safe with the team at Bishops Manor. They take time with me and I never feel rushed. I enjoy some of the fitness sessions and the singers, the activities programme is varied and I can pick and choose what I would like to do. The facilities are light and airy and modern and I enjoy my weekly hairdressing session. I am so happy that I chose Bishops Manor and I love my room that I have been able to personalise with my own belongings. I would happily recommend this place to other families as my care has been amazing.

My friend was looking to move from an awful situation and we were taken under Bishops Manor wing and I cannot praise certain staff highly enough. Really took us to her heart and tried her best to accommodate. Unfortunately there wasn’t an availability at the time and my friend was referred to another home in the same care group. Dad has been a resident of Bishops Manor since early 2022 and more recently my Mother stayed for a spell of respite. Throughout that time I have always been reassured by how caring and thorough the staff have been. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and contact is always encouraged to ensure that the best care is being given. These days the cost of care is always a concern for everyone but when worked out, the value given at Bishops Manor is second to none. Who doesn’t want their loved ones to be safe, well cared for, nourished both physically and mentally, in the most comfortable surroundings possible? I am so happy that my Dad is in the best place possible for him, and am reassured that staff not only care for him but for the rest of our family too.

My mum and dad moved into Bishops Manor in October 2021. My dad was a resident here for 18 months. During that time he was extremely well cared for and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. He enjoyed attending the activities, particularly the quizzes and the weekly visiting entertainers. He liked chatting with other residents in the dining room and all food requests were accommodated. My dad was happy here and had a good quality of life. My mum continues to live at Bishops Manor and is given the opportunity to take part in many stimulating and rewarding activities.
