Dr Jonathan Mamo is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at Hamberley Neurocare and Clinical Lead for Neurological Rehabilitation at the Royal Berkshire and West Berkshire Community Hospital. His work focuses on supporting individuals with traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and complex neurodegenerative conditions to rebuild function and improve quality of life.
With a background in acute and surgical care, Dr Mamo brings a clear understanding that recovery extends beyond the hospital. He is passionate about helping patients reclaim independence through intensive rehabilitation and believes that everyone deserves the chance to rebuild a meaningful life following injury or illness.

Karen’s passion for neurological physiotherapy began while working as a therapy technician on a stroke unit in Wales. After qualifying as a physiotherapist, she gained experience across multiple specialities before specialising in neurological rehabilitation. She has held senior roles in both private and NHS settings, including 10 years leading the physiotherapy team on an acute and hyper-acute stroke unit in Southampton.
She later expanded her expertise into the neuromodulation industry, focusing on chronic pain and movement disorders. Now, she brings her leadership and clinical knowledge to Hamberley Neurocare, driving excellence in therapy services.
Karen finds the most rewarding part of her work is making a difference—big or small—to someone’s quality of life after a neurological injury or diagnosis. Outside of work, she has represented Great Britain in Underwater Hockey at European and World Championships.
Nicole Reed is a Physiotherapist specialising in the rehabilitation of residents with complex neurological conditions. She delivers tailored physiotherapy interventions, supports manual handling training, and advises on spasticity management, falls risk, and cardiovascular fitness, using recognised outcome measures to track progress.
Nicole’s career has been shaped by a personal passion for supporting people with neurological conditions. She has delivered intensive neurophysiotherapy at the European Parkinson Therapy Centre and worked across home-visiting and community settings with individuals recovering from brain injuries, strokes, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular conditions.
Nicole believes in a person-centred approach to rehabilitation, focusing on meaningful goals that restore self-worth and improve quality of life. Originally studying Psychology, Sasha began working in neurorehabilitation alongside her studies and developed a passion for occupational therapy. She went on to qualify as an Occupational Therapist while working in neurological rehab services across Oxford and Hampshire.
She has extensive experience supporting individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injuries, using a person-centred approach to help residents achieve their goals. Sasha finds the most rewarding part of her role is seeing residents re-engage in activities they thought were no longer possible.
She believes that if a resident has a goal, there is always a way to work towards achieving it.
