My father was recently accepted into Willow Gardens. Despite our initial nervousness, he has settled in beautifully. He constantly says how lovely and kind people are and he likes his surroundings. He has a spacious room with a lovely view. Unlike some care homes we viewed, the staff are constantly busy and engaged with the residents and there appears to be a good staff/resident ratio. We feel Dad is well cared for in a safe and stimulating environment which is well-run and very organised.

My mother-in-law settled within a few days into Willow Gardens. This was a huge relief as we moved here after 60 years of living in Yorkshire to be close by. The staff are wonderful with her and the facilities, regular doctor health care checks are second to none. Also, the wide range of activities for the residents means there is something for everyone. Thank you Willow Gardens for the peace of mind you have given to my wife and I.

It is a joy being here, the staff are excellent, caring and kind. When I apologise for myself, or for asking for something, they always reassure me that it is no problem at all. I feel very secure and would be very happy to stay longer.

My mother was a resident here for 18 months.
Mum had a great time joining in with all the daily activities and singing her heart out with all the entertainment.
Her bedroom was great and more than enough for her needs (a hand rail by the sink would be good).
She loved sitting in the living room with the other residents and carers. The food was of a very good standard with a good variety and she loved the occasional sherry!
They have a fab GP who visits every week and sees those residents in need. Chiropodist services are available as well as the hairdresser downstairs.
They have a lovely outdoor area which is great in the summer.
Management team were very experienced and always on hand to address any concerns or questions.
A low turnover of staff was important which Willow offered. The care staff are part of the fabric and family that is Willow Gardens and I cannot rate them highly enough.
Mum was treated with the utmost respect and dignity until she passed away.

Thank you Willow Gardens.

Following a hip replacement and the likelihood of in-depth care was needed on a 24-hour basis. My view was that the care package had to be comprehensive and able to cope with all situations that may arise within any 24 hour period. Willow Gardens care facility provided and helped all my needs plus a cheerful atmosphere.

I wholeheartedly recommend Willow Gardens. My mother's time there was sadly too short, but the care she received was wonderful. Everyone was so kind, so thoughtful, so professional. I spent several days with Mum, by her side, night and day, and I saw how dedicated all the staff are. As well as tending to Mum and treating her with gentleness and dignity, they supported me and my whole family and clearly had excellent relations with the district nurses, doctors and other medical staff who came in. They treated all the residents with kindness and patience, helping them in every way, keeping them company and organising activities. I regret that my mum wasn't able to enjoy the conviviality and activities - I know she would have loved them. I can never thank the Willow Gardens team enough.

My mother moved into Willow Gardens after a short stay in hospital in November 2023, but quickly moved on to end-of-life care due to the medical conditions she had when she arrived. All of the staff, led by the manager, displayed nothing but the greatest of care and respect towards my mother and all of the members of our family who visited during this difficult time.
After my mother passed away we were amazed to see that some of the staff made the time to attend her funeral and wake despite her short stay with them.

I observed how all of the residents were treated by the staff, and their attitude was the same towards everyone. I would have no reservations in recommending Willow Gardens to anyone who asked me.

My parents were very well taken care off during their respite stay. All the carers and admin team were first class, so caring and nothing was too much trouble.
Rooms were bright and cheery with nice big bathrooms. Facility is in a lovely setting with beautiful grounds. I would highly recommend Willow Gardens.

Thank you all for your kindness.

We looked at many care homes in the area and found Willow Gardens to be the most welcoming from the moment we stepped inside.
There are no restrictions on visiting, the staff clearly care about the residents and always make families feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. The additional benefits are regular GP visits which are always followed up with the family.

I could write so much more. Thank you for all you do for my mother.

Mum is very happy at Willow Gardens. She really enjoys the activities that are put on daily. She has really close relationships with all staff that go above and beyond their job role. Mum enjoys the food and as a family, we're really happy that they cater for her diabetes. We are really pleased that we moved Mum from another care home to Willow Gardens. It is an exceptional care home due to the care staff and management.

I visit my mum regularly and I'm always more than happy with the care given by the staff. Mum is extremely grateful and cannot thank the staff enough. On my most recent visit there was a party in full swing, the residents were seated in the outside area and were being entertained by the singer, it was heartwarming to see how they all enjoyed this experience and how time was made for each and every one of the residents, a great time was had by all including me.

My mother has been a resident at Willow Gardens for more than three years. She has suffered from dementia but the staff at Willow Gardens have helped her enjoy the last few years of her life in a supportive and caring environment. One of the younger carers, from a very different background to Mum, talked movingly of her friendship with mum, and many other members of staff have also spoken fondly of their relationship with mum and humorous conversations.

The excellent leadership of the care home manager seems to bring out the best in the staff, who all seem to enjoy working here. Willow Gardens' approach during the Covid pandemic showed exemplary practice, combining safety with accessibility.

During the last week of mum's life, my wife and I also felt cared for as we stayed by her side. We knew that mum was not only cared for but loved - and that can only come from a culture which brings out the best in staff. I highly recommend Willow Gardens and am deeply grateful for the care they took of my mother.

My 97-year-old mother has been a resident in the care home for almost a year. She now has a lovely en-suite room with a bay window where she can sit and look out at the garden and the woods beyond. The food is good and plentiful. The staff are friendly and attentive. There are daily activities and often visiting entertainers. My mother is very a very happy resident which makes her family happy too.

Our Dad moved to Willow Gardens in February 2023 and our key objective was to ensure he was safe and happy. We can safely say that we are beyond delighted with the move as the constant worry we had about his health and wellbeing has been totally removed. He loves his 'ladies in lavender' who are there to support him as one of their family 24 hours a day. There is a wonderful atmosphere about the place which is a testament to the manager and her very loyal team, most of whom have been working with her for a number of years. Dad is stimulated every day with lots of different activities which he is actively encouraged to join in with; he particularly enjoys the singing! The quality of the food is of a very high standard and he really enjoys his meals. The relationship they have with the Doctor's surgery is incredible and the follow up to keep us informed takes all the worry away. On balance this Care Home is everything we could wish for as Dad is very safe and very very happy.

I looked at loads of care homes and eventually decided on Willow Gardens for Mum. I have agonised about many things regarding Mum and her illness, but never once regretted choosing Willow Gardens. The staff are amazing, I could not have wished for a better group of carers to look after Mum.

Mum came to Willow Gardens for respite and immediately felt at home, feeling safe and welcome. The staff looked after her, helping her to regain lost mobility until a sudden relapse changed the nature of her stay to palliative. The dignity and calmness of Mums final hours created by the staff and our family allowed Mums passing to be so extraordinarily peaceful. Thank you.
