My Mother and Father bought an apartment and lived there until the requirement for more care became necessary in early 2020 and they moved into Willow Gardens the care home element of the village. The care and support they received were beyond measure and more than we could have hoped for. The staff are so attentive and caring and lovely people. There are activities almost every day and this so added to both Mum and Dad's quality of life whilst living there. In the past, a local school would come in on a weekly basis but unfortunately due to COVID that has not been possible. The end of life care given for Dad (passed away March 2021) and Mum (passed away in August 2021) was very supportive and very calming for them and us as grieving siblings. We cannot thank you all enough.

Dad has been at Willow now for nearly 4 weeks to give Mum some respite. During that time I have found the whole team to be approachable, flexible and caring. They took the time to listen and understand Dad's needs and he has been very well looked after during this time. We have visited regularly (adhering to Covid Guidelines of course) and found Dad to be in good spirits and well turned out. The carers I have met have been caring, helpful and attentive and during the heatwave gave out ice cream and ice lollies (Dad's favourite). Thank you for looking after my father so well.

My mother, has been in the care home since August 2016 until she passed in June 2020. From the very first day she felt at home in the care home and became part of the small community. She was extremely well looked after, physically and mentally as well as being cared for by the staff who treated her as an individual. The facilities at the care home are excellent and very comfortable as well as providing individual privacy.
During her stay Mum had had several falls which were handled immediately and professionally, contacting the medical authorities as appropriate. I was always contacted as soon as any issues occurred so that I could be there if required.
During Covid the home worked hard to facilitate contact with Mum either via video calls or modified Covid secure meeting rooms to facilitate 1-2-1 communication.

Unfortunately, my mother passed in June but the care home were very caring and supportive and felt her loss as much as I as they were her 2nd family.

My Mum spent the last 15 months of her life in Willow Gardens, sadly passing away last Wednesday. Covid restrictions made things very difficult during this time, with many periods when we were unable to visit. Without reservation, my sister and I were always impressed by the care staff. Wonderful staff doing a difficult job with true care. My mother repeatedly expressed how lovely the staff were, and how well they looked after her. I can't thank Willow Gardens enough. I doubt there is a better care home.

My mum was in the care of Willow Gardens for the last 18 months of her life, sadly passing only last week. Throughout the time, we had 2 stints of 4 months where I could not see mum due to COVID restrictions. This would have been unbearable if it were not for the care staff at Willow Gardens. Not only was my mum always safe and immaculately clean but the staff went above and beyond, loving mum as if mum were family. I know without any doubt that my mum could not have received any better care. The nursing home has a lovely, warm, welcoming and family feel to it, staff are always so patient, treating everyone with extreme kindness and dignity and there is so much laughter. The food is amazing, certainly on par with any good hotel. The nursing home provides lots of stimulation and fun in the form of activities. The rooms are clean and modern with a homely feel and are personalized to make the room feel like home. The nursing team go above and beyond with supporting family too.

My mother was at Willow Gardens for two-and-a-half years. In that time she was well cared for and much loved by the staff, who are wonderful; nothing is too much trouble for them. The activities are super and everyone is encouraged to join in. The outside terrace is used for brilliant music/singing events with cocktails for everyone. It’s such a happy environment. The meals are fresh and provided for all tastes and needs.

Mum was a resident with Dementia at Willow Gardens for 2.5 years. During that time, the staff there became her second family. We could not have wished for a better and more caring place for Mum to spend her final years. The care and attention Mum received was always first class and the staff and management were always available to help. The love and dedication shown to Mum during her final days, was exceptional and for that, we will always be grateful.

My grandmother resides at Willow Gardens, our whole family is delighted to say she is very happy there and looked after in a way we could never have imagined. The carers who look after her and all the other residents treat them all like family and us when we visit, warm, friendly, kind and just lovely!

During this outbreak, we have had regular contact with her through phone calls and the girls are happy to use their own phones to WhatsApp so we can also see her which has meant so much. We also have regular pictures and emails with updates, they have been entertaining them in imaginative ways during lockdown. We could not ask for more, to know she is great hands. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Willow Gardens.

Willow Gardens took care of my aunt for 2 weeks after a stay in hospital. I found all the staff there to be professional, friendly, kind and helpful and always took time to talk to me over any concerns. They were kind and patient with my aunt who can be challenging at times. I would highly recommend Willow Gardens and cannot praise the staff there highly enough.

Care staff always cheerful and welcoming (even at 2.30 am one time when we had to bring my father back from a hospital visit). The room and corridor are bright and cheerful and staff do their best to arrange my father to socialise and join in. Gets help with all aspects of personal care. Overall it is the positive attitudes of the staff that make the difference.

My Father-in-law lived with us for 5 years before we took the difficult decision to look for a care home - we were blessed to find Willow Gardens where he was happy and cared for during the last 10 months before he passed away.
The team at Willow Gardens are excellent. They provided all the required care needs but also love and empathy to keep the smile on Dads face! He did not like to join in much and the staff really took the time to get to know him and spend time reading the paper with him, helping him to tune into his sports channel and listening to his stories about his late wife and family. During the last weeks of his life the team supported us in getting him out of hospital so he could spend his last few days in a familiar environment surrounded by people who loved him. The team and the local District Nurses were fantastic and provided care and compassion, not only to Dad but also to our family.

The facilities, food and environment were fantastic and it was a pleasure to visit.

I found the staff very welcoming from Day 1 and over the last few weeks got to know them better.
Nothing is too much trouble.
My father looks clean and tidy every day and is getting 3 good meals.
There are plenty of activities for him to join in if he so wishes.
The lounge and dining room are pleasant areas.

The staff are under pressure at present with two dishwashers out of action but still give priority to residents.

My husband was in the care home for a week while I was looking after another family member. He was well looked after, receiving the necessary medication he had been prescribed and had an extremely comfortable and good size room. The staff were kind and he had no complaints at all.

My Godmother has been here for over 2 years and has thoroughly enjoyed the care, activities, ambience and surrounding. Sadly we are now at the end of life care phase. I cannot praise the staff enough. For a non-nursing care home, the care has been exceptional and I don't think it could be bettered. I am so pleased you are here and we found you.

Willow Gardens came highly recommended and I am glad I listened and acted on it.

All the staff whom we dealt with over my mother were extremely helpful in organising all that needed doing for her move into Willow Gardens. The staff were very kind and understanding and helpful in every way and that continued once my mother was there. All of the staff are also very caring and friendly, the home is beautiful and food delicious. When I leave after visiting I have no anxieties about leaving mum there a godsend.

Wonderful to leave Dad in a place with such good care, while his wife was suddenly taken ill. We could be sure that he was safe and well with the amazing friendly staff. Lovely touches like a welcome card, books that he was interested in left in his room when he arrived made all the difference at a difficult time. The facilities and food could also not be faulted.
