Overall Experience

My mother has been at Fleming Court for 18 months or so and is settled here. She has a comfortable room which she has been able to make her own, with extra bookshelves and other furnishings of her own. The food is good and reliable and they cater for specific requests. The staff are overwhelmingly kind and friendly and my mother has grown very fond of them. Occasionally, the staffing levels are a bit stretched, so there are waits for non urgent requests. There is a team of two very dedicated staff who arrange a couple of activities each day and they work hard to provide a mix so there is something for everyone to enjoy. The management have been very responsive when we have asked for changes.

My father has lived at Fleming Court on the 2nd floor for over 3 years. During that time all the staff have made a real effort to get to know him and give him individual care.
He has a fantastic room which he has made his own, but spends most of his time socialising in the lounge or out in the garden.

A huge thank you to all the staff who make this such a warm and welcoming place. Particular thanks to the 2nd floor staff for everything they do.

My mother was a resident at Fleming Court for over a year until she passed away, and I cannot recommend the second-floor manager, and her team highly enough.
They cared for my mum with genuine kindness, compassion and humour, while always preserving her dignity. They treated her with respect and made her feel valued, and it was clear they showed the same level of care and commitment to all the residents.
What stood out most was that caring for the residents was more than just a job to them-they truly cared about the people they looked after. Their warmth, patience and dedication made an enormous difference to my mother's quality of life.

My sister and I will always be grateful for everything they did. They made my mum's final year as comfortable as possible and, in many ways, an enjoyable one. We cannot thank the second floor manager and her wonderful team enough.

The staff on floor two have been great with Mum , especially Nancy and Bola . Mum has had a few falls this past month and staff have always been prompt in helping Mum and notifying me and changing her aids , mats , frames and bed , after to make it easier . The home is built well for purpose with en suite rooms and nice decor , the meals are basic but varied but the staff who are in the home all work hard to make the residents' lives easier

A fantastic home with the loveliest staff. My step father had 4 weeks respite stay and throughly enjoyed the break. The food is amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody. The grounds outside are beautiful and well kept, lovely place to sit outside in the sun.

I was convalescing after a total left knee replacement. Place lovely, staff superhuman, but not enough of them. I only had one shower in my residency, about 6 weeks. I was very dependent, as they knew I went home (ASAP) in the same pressure stockings I arrived in. Food, I lost so much weight my clothes were falling off me, and a friend noticed and remarked - £1,400 P/W! Really? They ought to make me a substantial rebate.

My father moved into Fleming Court, Jesmond, in Oct 2025. It had been a stressful time after a stay in hospital and an operation. The move was made as easy as possible by all the management supervisors, carers and housekeeping staff. The room and building in general are clean and pleasantly decorated. It is of a high standard. However, it really is the staff who are the jewel in the crown. Well trained, professional and personable, which you would expect, but extremely warm, friendly and kind. Not just to my father but to my mum and the rest of the family

I feel so much happier knowing Peter is getting the care & kindness he deserves. Long may it continue.

The staff (all of them) are wonderful, and I never feel I have to come in all day, like I did in my last place.

I would just like to put on record how brilliant the Care Assistant was during a recent health scare my mother-in-law had. The Care Assistant was calm, reassuring and professional throughout, supporting the paramedics and keeping everyone informed. The Care Assistant is a credit to the care home and her profession. Thank you.

Following the death of my wife, I looked after myself at home because of walking problems and a number of falls, ended up with a short stay in the hospital. Both my son and daughter lived away. On the advice of a friend to come into Fleming Court. Since then I have not had a fall.
