Signature at Reigate Grange

I was privileged to join Reigate Grange in March 2023 to support the team as Care Services Manager. I was delighted to move into the role of Interim General Manager in June, and then to be confirmed as the General Manager later that year. I’m a qualified Registered Nurse, a dynamic individual with excellent nursing and leadership skills. I have a track record of delivering clinical excellence in a professional manner through direct nursing care. I have deputised for more than 10 years and also worked as Acting Manager. I’m a qualified TTT (Train The Trainer) and also have experience in commissioning new homes. At Reigate Grange, there is a genuine team spirit of cooperation and a passion to deliver the highest quality care. As General Manager, I strive to support this ethos and make our home truly exceptional.

I first joined Signature in October 2020 as a Care Supervisor in the dementia care community. I was then promoted to the role of Dementia Care Manager. If there is one thing that I've learned in my years of working with people living with dementia it is: the happiest and most fulfilled people are those who devote themselves to something bigger and more unique. There's nothing more rewarding than helping the most vulnerable people to continue to live their lives with dignity and respect.

I have been working in the care sector for over 15 years and am delighted to join the team at Signature at Reigate Grange. The home has gone from strength to strength over the past few years and has built an impressive reputation for delivering outstanding care alongside exceptional hospitality services. Signature’s approach to person-centred care is not only amplified through robust and bespoke care plans, but through a range of meaningful activities both within the home and the local community. I joined as Wellbeing and Lifestyle Manager in June 2018 as part of the commissioning management team at Reigate Grange and completely new to the care industry. I come from a background within the entertainment industry, an industry I was fortunate to work in for over a decade, working both in hotels and aboard cruise ships as a singer and dancer within the Production Team and Manager of the team. My background has given me a wonderful insight into fantastic customer service and organising and delivering the activities and events within the home has been extremely rewarding on a daily basis. Since being with Signature I have also been fortunate enough to have completed my Hospitality Manager certificate, specialising in Conference and Events Management. I honestly thought leaving the entertainment industry that I would never find a job I enjoyed as much, yet my time here at Reigate Grange has been amazing and extremely fulfilling.

I was welcomed to Signature at Reigate Grange in August 2023. I have worked in care for roughly 10 years in another Signature care home. I have worked in both the Care and Activities Departments. Activities are my passion as I enjoy being able to spend time with residents and listening to their life stories. If I am able to make our residents happy and smile, I feel I have successfully fulfilled my job.

I started at a previous Signature home as a Maintenance Assistant, progressing to be Manager and moved to Reigate Grange in 2023. Prior to coming into the care industry, I enjoyed renovating houses and did a lot of travelling for work. I thoroughly enjoy working here at Reigate and strive to keep the home and grounds to an excellent standard for our residents.
