My wife has been a resident at Reigate Grange for nearly three years. During this time and despite several management changes I have never had cause to worry about the standard of care, which has always been second to none. Many individual carers excel and under the new management team, the atmosphere is friendly and positive. The environment and the standard of care are both excellent.

Reply from Judy Urmossy, Client Liaison Manager at Signature at Reigate Grange

Thank you for your kind words, we really do appreciate feedback. We are delighted to know that the new management team is working out so well and the atmosphere in our home is positive and friendly. Our aim has been to create the nicest environment for our residents to live and thrive in.

My mother stayed at Reigate Grange for two weeks of respite care in January this year. She was looked after so well, with care and thoughtfulness, which is so important as my mother has moderate Alzheimer’s disease. Every member of staff from the receptionists to the nurses were kind and considerate and went out of their way to make my mum’s stay special. It worked so well that we are now moving my mum into Reigate Grange as a permanent resident from April as there is no place that could be better for her.

Reply from Judy Urmossy, Client Liaison Manager at Signature at Reigate Grange

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. All the team here strive to provide the best care possible for every one of our residents whether they are with us for a couple of weeks or longer. We are delighted to see Mum settling in and thriving in the short time she has been with us, she is throwing herself into all the activities and really enjoying being part of our family.

I have been a resident at the Grange for 5 months and I have nothing but praise for the kind and friendly staff. I have always been looked after with thoughtfulness, patience and good humour. The home is purpose-built with wonderful facilities. It's light, beautifully furnished and warm. The meals are quite delicious and there is always a choice available. There are plenty of activities should you wish to join in. All in all, a perfect home.

Mum moved into Reigate Grange having been diagnosed with heart failure so her move was a very stressful time. The staff were extremely supportive of all of us while we were processing her sudden downturn in health. Everyone was incredibly caring and looked after Mum so well. Having been in hospital for several weeks, she wasn't very interested in food but staff offered alternatives and often found something she would like even if it wasn't on the menu. Porridge at 6pm was no hassle if that was what she wanted! Despite her dislike of asking for help, she soon realised that they were very happy to help and she became willing to ask as she never felt that her needing something was a trouble. On the one occasion that there was a misunderstanding between myself and the nursing staff, I raised my concern with the manager and it was immediately addressed and the misunderstanding cleared up. I can't recommend it highly enough. If I ever need nursing care, it is where I would go.

My husband was very reluctant to go into a care home, but it was necessary that he did so. He enjoyed his stay and would happily go back if need be. The facilities are excellent and so is the food. The staff are very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend Signature Grange and if I myself ever need to go into a care home in the future that is the place where I would like to be. It is beautiful and more like a 5 star hotel rather than a care home.

Reply from Jan Marples, Client Liaison Manager at Signature at Reigate Grange

Thank you for these kind words. It was our absolute pleasure to look after your husband during his respite stay. We're pleased that we were able to help. Should the need for a respite stay arise again, you will both be welcomed back with open arms. Feel free to drop in to Reigate Grange for a coffee and cake at any time. Sending you our best wishes.

We moved our parents to Reigate Grange from another local residential care home. The difference in the level of service was a significant improvement on what we had previously experienced. The staff are professional, attentive and caring, the facilities are modern, well appointed and very clean. We have seen a noticeable improvement in our parent's well-being and their participation in the numerous and varied activities that Reigate Grange makes available to the residents.

Reply from Jan Marples, Client Liaison Manager at Signature at Reigate Grange

Many thanks for taking the time to submit this review. It's very kind. You're quite right to highlight the importance of the activities on offer at Reigate Grange. Some gentle encouragement to take part in an exercise class or art class for example, can make all the difference to someone's wellbeing. Thanks again.

My mother moved into Reigate Grange assisted living over five years ago. For the last six months she moved to the dementia floor. The team under the supervision of the new manager have been amazing. Respectful, supportive, inclusive and kind are just some of the words I would use to describe her care. The staff-to-residents ratio is very good. There is always someone around to talk to. My mother sadly passed away in January but I can’t thank the staff enough for their amazing care and support both to my mother and our family. I would thoroughly recommend the Reigate Grange Signature care home.

My brother and I moved our parents to Signature at Reigate Grange last November. They had been at another residential home since July 2018 that had deteriorated in many ways.
Mum and Dad have different levels of Alzheimer's and vascular dementia, among other ailments but since moving, they are a lot more content and comfortable. All the staff at Reigate Grange have been kind and helpful.
We have been very impressed with how our parents are being looked after and how much better they are in themselves. The team of carers have been fabulous, encouraging them to join in with the activities – which is not an easy task!
The staff also keep me updated – whether it is to do with changes in their medication, that they have had a haircut or a visit from the chiropodist, or that they have managed to encourage Mum to join in with the carol concert or other afternoon activities.

My stress and worry levels have reduced greatly since Mum and Dad have been at Reigate Grange. I cannot thank the team enough.

It has been an extremely challenging year, having a loved one with a dementia diagnosis. The team at Reigate Grange have supported us as a family and most importantly has treated my father with respect and as an individual from the assessment process to admission. The nurturing environment has been so welcoming for Dad, staff have shown a genuine interest in him and he seems very happy. It is so good to see a smile on his face and for us as a family to know he is safe and comfortable. Thank you.

We have known Reigate Grange since it opened in 2018. My father-in-law had dementia and had a happy and well-cared-for time in the dementia unit Hilltops; he passed away during Covid.
My father had a very well-appointed residential care apartment for over four years. He liked to be independent, which the home facilitated, while also keeping an eye on him to ensure his safety and well-being. The home is welcoming, homely and receptive to suggestions. The activities team is great. The food, particularly more recently, was excellent; the family enjoyed Christmas and birthday meals provided by the catering team. As a widower, Dad really appreciated the comfort, company and care in the home.
Sadly, my father passed away at the end of 2023. During his final weeks of end-of-life care, the staff were fantastic. As well as providing super care, nursing and medical attention, they were also immensely supportive of the family, for which we will always be very grateful.

Thank you, Reigate Grange!

I'm so happy to have found Reigate Grange! We needed a temporary assisted living solution for our mother and Reigate Manor ticked all the boxes. I met a few of the staff - the manager, carers and catering staff - and they were all upbeat and cheerful making for a very positive environment. The rooms are very well appointed and I was impressed with the facilities - a cinema room, a lovely restaurant, coffee shop, piano bar area and even a salon. The food is exceptional too. Overall the place had a lovely vibe to it and my mother is extremely happy there. Thanks so much to all of the Reigate Grange team.

I am delighted with the care my mother receives at Reigate Grange.
All of the staff, from the maintenance team, the cleaning and laundry staff, the managers and the restaurant team to the carers themselves, are so friendly and kind. The activities team are fabulous; I can't fault them. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff throughout the home, and everyone is very sincere in their aim to provide good care for Mum.

There are some very slight niggles that I have, but I believe that these are going to be dealt with in the near future, and I will be 100% happy with Mum's care. I'm so pleased Mum is where she is.

My Dad was at Signature for a short time. We had informed the home of his history of aggression and alcoholism which they assured us they could cope with.
It became clear quickly they could not. We would receive multiple calls from Dad saying he feared for his life and safety. He made frequent escape attempts from the home and succeeded in escaping over a back fence. In the months he was there the home never even hung up his pictures which stayed on the floor.

Having seen the revelations of abuse in the home we are glad that he was asked to leave. This home is not up to standard and not worth the massive price tag when the care is not good enough.

It is always a very difficult decision when a placement in a care home can no longer be maintained.

This Care Home from the outside looks lovely, but this is where it ends if you have someone here on the dementia floor Hilltops. The visits and video calls and pictures I was able to have showed things are far from caring and safe. When things went wrong here the management didn't correct the problems of the staff for their wrongdoings. My friend's mum suffered from dehydration, along with being given appalling food that you would not give a dog. Safety is a joke here with trip hazards I have a picture of in her own bathroom. My friend's mum suffered from poor care that resulted in stays in hospital which could have been avoided along with other injuries she suffered. She suffered medication problems that were highlighted in the CQC Report published 31st May-22. My mum's friend who was like a mum to me growing up, staff treated her with no respect, poor care in this place as published by a national newspaper and on social media. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

In short, when a friend's health and mental outlook declined after the death of their husband - suggested the Grange (having visited and appraised it) as respite, two weeks holiday in a five-star hotel. She caved to it but said, not ready for a permanent move. After two weeks, she went home, but a couple of days later suggested to move. She absolutely loved it and said it felt like home, made friends and loved the staff. Unfortunately she died, but in peace.

My good and close friend was living at home, but with deteriorating health involving increasing care over a period of three years, we managed to persuade her to take a period of respite and chose Signature and Reigate Grange. At the end of two weeks, she wanted to return home, but within three days wanted to return to the Grange on a permanent basis. During the following weeks, the change in her everyday happiness and outlook was significant for the better She was a meticulous lady and told me many times about how her carers were kind, considerate and courteous, plus how happy and comfortable she was, plus always in praise of the good food. Whilst there, she also persuaded two others, despite residents to move in permanently - they did and reaming happy.
Unfortunately, my friend did not survive her deteriorating health condition, but we were so pleased that she was very comfortable and well looked after during her final months of life.

Well done to all.

Diane Swinton
Diane SwintonJob Title:Business Admin Manager

I joined Reigate Grange in November 2022 and feel incredibly privileged to be part of such a dedicated and caring team. Before joining the care sector, I worked as a Personal Assistant to a Regional Manager for a well-known supermarket chain, where I developed extensive experience in administration, organisation, finance, and people management.

As Business Administration Manager, I oversee many of the important functions behind the scenes, including HR, finance, recruitment, compliance, and supporting our managers and team members. My role is to help ensure that everything runs smoothly so that our residents receive the highest standards of care and service every day.

I am passionate about supporting both our residents and colleagues and take great pride in creating an efficient, positive, and well-organised environment. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is knowing that the work I do contributes to making a difference in people's lives, whether directly or indirectly.

What I enjoy most about Reigate Grange is the warm, family atmosphere and the opportunity to work alongside such a compassionate and dedicated team. Every day brings something different, and it is incredibly fulfilling to be part of a community that puts residents at the heart of everything we do.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, making memories, and taking time to relax and recharge.
