I was a convalescent resident here for approximately four months from June to November 2019, arriving straight from hospital after a serious fall. The care and kindness I experienced here was largely instrumental in my steady and speedy recovery. Everyone I came into contact with was patient, friendly and encouraging and many became more like friends. The management team took a very professional interest in my progress.

Thank you so much for such a fabulous review. I speak on behalf of all of my team when I say it has been an absolute pleasure to care for you during your amazing recovery. My team will be thrilled when they read this review. Warmest regards, Sarah-Jane.

I am very happy to recommend the Grange where my mother stayed for 6 weeks. She was very happy there. Her medical needs were well managed and we can't speak highly enough of the staff who were unfailingly helpful, cheerful and friendly (and that's everyone from reception to housekeeping to nurses to carers and other staff). They welcomed her in a genuine and warm manner and really enhanced her stay by their positivity and consideration. For us, the family, it was wonderful knowing that our mother was being well cared for. But it was the emotional and social benefits of staying at the Grange that took us by surprise. Our mother really benefited from the sense of community at the Grange and the opportunity to engage with so many people on a daily basis and to dip into some of the many activities on offer.

From the outset, initial viewing to moving in, all the staff couldn't have been more welcoming in continuation. The staff take the time to know each resident and have been very supportive of my farther, taking their time. On visiting one day this week, to see my farther dancing and getting everyone else up, with a huge smile across his face was priceless!

My first visit before my wife, who suffers from dementia, became a resident blew away my senses - it was an 'Alice in Wonderland' experience. The practical features of the building and gardens are extremely clever, but all that would be meaningless without the wonderful staff. They are a revelation in kindness and empathy, patience and understanding of human frailties.

I cannot speak highly enough, the environment and care are amazing and compared to the previous home which was like "Gods waiting room" this is so refreshing. It feels like a home to live life and enjoy, the staff and residents seem happy and smiley most of the time (we all have off days) and there is no nursing home smell or feel as you walk in. If I had to choose a home myself this would be the one I would like.

My mother recently stayed at The Grange and I have nothing but positive feedback for the whole experience. She was well cared for, day and night, and I was impressed with how the staff always had time to stop and have a chat or joke with her. The facilities are first rate with comfortable seating areas throughout the home - inside and out - creating a sense of community and encouraging mixing within the residents.

The restaurant food was first class with light and more hearty options together with friendly and helpful staff. Our entire family from ages 10 to 50 plus 2 dogs were always warmly welcomed by the reception and care staff.

We celebrated my Granny's 96th birthday here at Reigate Grange. We were able to take over the bar/restaurant area for a private family get together and meal - (there were 18 of us!)
They put on an amazing meal and we were able to use the area all afternoon with no pressure on time.
The carers were on call if we needed them to assist Granny, the meal and service was wonderful! - it was so lovely to be able to celebrate all together as Granny is now not able to go anywhere without easy disabled access.

We have been delighted with the care Granny receives, the carers are wonderful and Granny is happy, therefore so are we!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us and especially the fabulous birthday party! It is very important to us that families feel able to come to us and celebrate in style! It was always my dream that Reigate Grange would excel at times like this and it sounds as if we did just that!

This was our first experience of selecting a care home for an elderly relative. Thankfully the client liaison manager from Reigate Grange really understood and empathised with the difficulty of supporting a relative to make that initial move into a care home. We have been so very pleased with the standard of care provided.

The building is lovely but most of all the staff and managers do show genuine care, interest and professionalism looking after the residents. They put a lot of thought into the activities for residents. All the staff have a positive and friendly attitude. Some of the admin processes can be inconsistent and not as user-friendly as you would expect. However, that does not detract from the confidence they give us that our relative is genuinely well cared for. We have seen a real imporvement in my aunt, who is now back to her old happy self.

Dad had been cared for in his own home until September and up until then, he had the minimal of care. The carer never washed Dad, got him dressed etc. Now, since being in Reigate Grange he is washed, shaved, dressed beautifully and is well looked after and entertained with activities. It is wonderful for our family to see him so well and contented. Well done Reigate Grange.

The staff and management show real compassion and respect and interest in their guests. The activities include all and are varied. The Hilltop's community activities are enjoyable and stimulating and the singing and dancing especially meets their needs. Reigate Grange has managed to achieve a proper genuine 'home from home' where others don't.

Overall my mother-in-law enjoyed her month at Reigate Grange. She settled in well and very quickly seemed to get into a daily routine. There always seemed to be activities available to join in with, although I do not think she really made the most of this.

Everyone seemed very welcoming and friendly when we visited and she has mentioned since leaving that she did enjoy her time at Reigate Grange.

My granny settled in really well at The Grange and got along with all the staff. She enjoyed sitting in the cafe chatting to the other residents and visitors.
The activities carried out were very inclusive, such as a trip to the garden centre, or the pub for lunch.

I had a lovely time sitting listening to a jazz band with Gran. It brought back lovely memories for her.

Following a stroke in October my mother came to Reigate Grange for respite care. We found Reigate Grange just what our mother needed. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much for them to resolve. My mother described Reigate Grange as a 'posh cruise ship' in appearance. Following excellent care our mother was able to return home, but we would not rule out her returning back.

Living so far away, it has been a delight to see Mum so well settled. She has good relationships with some of the staff and is taking part in many of the activities available. The greatest gift came last night when returned from the theatre and Mum said "ahh, I'm home"! I can return to my home knowing Mum is happier than she has been and I have met and know her carers.

I am proud to be the Dementia Care Manager at Reigate Grange, bringing over 12 years of experience within the care sector. Caring for others has always been more than just a career for me; it is my passion. I am dedicated to delivering exceptional, person-centred dementia care and making a positive difference to the lives of our residents and their families every day.

My career began in domiciliary care, supporting people to maintain their independence in their own homes while building meaningful relationships with them and their families. I then joined a Palliative Support Care Team, where I gained invaluable experience providing compassionate, dignified, and empathetic support to individuals and their loved ones during some of life's most challenging moments.

From there, I progressed into residential care, where I discovered my true passion for dementia care. Today, I am proud to be part of the team at Reigate Grange, where I have the privilege of leading our dementia community.

Dementia care is my area of expertise, and I firmly believe that every person deserves to be treated as an individual, with their own life story, choices, and preferences at the heart of everything we do. My vision is to develop a strong, knowledgeable, and compassionate team, creating an environment where residents feel safe, valued, understood, and truly at home.

I believe exceptional care is built on open communication, honesty, transparency, and teamwork. By supporting and empowering my colleagues, encouraging continuous learning, and leading by example, I strive to create a positive culture where everyone feels respected, listened to, and inspired to provide the highest standards of care.

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing our residents smile, feel comfortable, and enjoy meaningful moments each day. It is a privilege to work alongside such dedicated colleagues and to support the wonderful people who call Reigate Grange home. This is not just my profession; it is my passion.
