Staff are wonderful.
Thank you for your feedback. We have the privilege of caring for your Mum, who has the accolade of being our most senior resident. Thank you for choosing Ascot Grange.
Following an absolutely horrendous experience at another local care home, we moved my dear friend to Ascot Grange. From the start the welcome was so warm, human, real and compassionate. The receptionist gave the best impression as she smiled warmly! Then came the manager, Rhian. Efficient, knowledgeable and honest who could ask for more? No one is perfect, and life is a journey of improvement. At every turn when things weren't quite as they needed to be, everyone pulled together to work as a team. Not once did we find the teams unapproachable, and always a solution was found. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ascot Grange and will be back for respite as needed. I'll miss some of the lovely other residents too who always made you smile. It's not easy getting older, and it's a real vocation to work in this area. Much credit to all those of you who truly care. It matters and it means a lot.
Dear Susanna, Thank you for your feedback. We are very pleased that we were able to meet the resident's expectations, given a poor experience at another home. Your close friend settled in very quickly and became actively involved in the home's day-to-day routines, events and activities. Although...
The facilities are very good, modern and airy. Parking to visit was sometimes a challenge but something was usually available. Food and activities all seemed to be high class but mum did not make much use of them. Most importantly the staff, carers, nurses and management were available, kind and supportive. A great choice for mum.
Thank you, Peter, for your feedback and kind words. I have passed these on to the staff teams that supported and cared for your mother. Although not at Ascot Grange for long, your mother quickly built close relationships with many of the team and she was very popular. I note the feedback about...
Walking into Ascot Grange was like walking into a five star hotel!
From the very beginning, the staff were so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. They made us feel less guilty about having to put mum into a care home.
Whenever we visited mum, we were always greeted with a cheery "hello" from the receptionist and staff.
When mum moved upstairs to Devonish Ward, the transition was so smooth.
When we visited her, it was just like we were all one big family.
When mum deteriorated and needed a hoist to safely move her from her bed to her wheelchair, they spoke to her the entire time putting her at ease.
Sadly mum passed in January, and again, the care and compassion shown to mum and our family was beautiful.
I would highly recommend Ascot Grange to anyone looking for a care home
Dear Lisa, thank you for your kind words. I have passed on your feedback to all the staff teams. The staff, particularly within Devenish, miss Mum a goo deal. Mum became a big part of everyone's lives in both communities in the home. I used to get on really well with Mum and would always manage...
She would tell me how happy she was, that Ascot Grange was her home and how much she loved the staff, often saying they were like family and friends to her.
She liked to argue and laugh with her Carers as if they were her own children.
The restaurant team always noted her precise requirements and never failed to give her exactly what she wanted with a smile. She was very complimentary about the food (and drink)
Team leaders and management invariably kept me informed as things developed and decisions, big and small, needed to be made.
I, and i know my mother would unreservedly recommend Ascot Grange.
Dear Peter, thank you for your feedback and kind words. I have shared your review with the the whole team at Ascot Grange. Mum stayed with us for 3 years and made key impressions with everyone. Her sense of humour, canniness, kindness and love made us all feel like we were her children as well....
Having lost my Mum to Alzheimers in 2021, my Dad moved to Ascot Grange by choice in March 2022, foreseeing the additional care that he would need in future years despite being an 'Assisted Living' resident initially. I have to say that in the last four years of his life here (aged 97), he really enjoyed his time in the company of all the residents and the Care Team and regularly participated in the various activities, whether it be exercise, shopping trips, other outings or resident committee meetings. From what we witnessed, especially in his final years, the care and dedication shown to all the residents by the Ascot Grange Team was of the highest standard and having viewed many of the Care facilities in the local area prior to choosing Ascot Grange, we have no doubt that the 'hotel-like' ambience, general look-and-feel, and staff dedication to residents, helps it stand 'head and shoulders' above others. Highly recommended by all our family who had the privilege of visiting Dad here.
Simon - thank you for your review and feedback. Your father was a huge part of Ascot Grange and helped to shape its service by actively being involved in many resident-staff working groups. Your Father was an ardent advocate for resident service and wellbeing at Ascot Grange, which really helped...
After looking at 5 others in the area we literally burst into tears when we walked in to Ascot Grange. The greeting, overall look and the demeanour of the residents was incredible. We were looking for a Care Home that would take and be suitable for both my parents, Ascot Grange was head and shoulders above anything else we had seen.
My parents have been there 9 months now and the only thing I can add is that it was 100% the right move! Dad was 3 months bed bound before he moved in and for the last 7 months he has been moved into a wheelchair and joined his wife and other residents for meals and activities, nothing short of incredible! The staff are angels, patience of saints, smiles of masterpieces and hearts of pure gold, they are truly remarkable and have now become part of our family and we of the home's. Visiting is a joyous and enjoyable time, plenty of social or private areas for us to use whilst enjoying a drink and cake in the company of our loved ones.
Dear Steve and family, thank you for your feedback. I will make sure this gets shared with all our team at this week's staff meetings. Thank you for choosing Ascot Grange to provide care and support to both Mum and Dad. They are both sorely missed by the Ascot Grange family. Not only do we lose...
My father stayed in Ascot Grange for 7 weeks. All aspects of his and the family's experience was first class. The staff are quite excellent always placing the needs of the resident at the forefront of what they do. Our experience of the clinical nursing care was most impressive and professional. The staff not only provided the full range of care to my father but also found time to provide the family support-we never once visited without being offered hospitality. My father did not (his choice) take part in the various activities on offer (which looked very impressive) but he certainly enjoyed the excellent food that he chose to eat in his room. His room was excellent and more akin to a hotel suite. His bespoke care and clinical needs were met by the Home, such as an air mattress and a bed extension, without delay or prevarication. Perhaps this special place can be summed up by the simple fact that on entering the building it feels more like a friendly boutique hotel than a Care Home. We were very pleased that my father was able to spend his last days in such a caring and happy environment.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, Rachel. I will ensure that your kind words are passed on to all of the staff team. Your father is sorely missed by everyone here, as he was a very popular part of our extended family. We feel very privileged to have supported your father on...
Your palliative care is fantastic and can not be beaten. My sister in law was only with you for a short time, but her whole family were supported by everyone. The management, care team, hospitality staff and reception could not have been more supportive. Thank you all. We would recommend your lovely home to anyone that we know for nursing or supported living.
Thank you for your feedback and kind words - I have shared these with the whole team. We are sorry for your loss and feel privileged to have been chosen and included in your sister in law's end-of-life journey. Please do reach out if you need any support.
My mum was cared for with compassion and sensitivity by the kindest group of people I have ever met. They work brilliantly as a team, and that includes cleaning, catering and maintenance. They adapt to individual needs, staff always greeted us every time we met. The environment is warm and secure. I would highly recommend Ascot Grange Care Home.
Thank you for your kind words. Mum is very missed by all the staff at Ascot Grange. I have passed on your comments to the whole team. Take care.
I cannot overestimate the excellent care and professional help that my wife received at Ascot Grange. A very big thank you to all the wonderful staff. Especially, Mark, Gill, Ellen, and Irene - they really saved my wife's life after her horrible experience at the hospital.
Thank you William. Madeleine is very much missed here at Ascot Grange, but we are so pleased that she has recovered and returned home now. I have passed on your lovely feedback to the whole team. We wish you both well.
My mother received excellent care during her 2 week respite care. The communication beforehand and during her stay was really good. I really felt the staff made every effort to get to know mum and make her stay as comfortable as possible.
Thank you for your feedback. It was a pleasure to look after her for your holiday. Thank you for choosing Ascot Grange.
My husband has had respite breaks at Ascot Grange during 2024/25. On this latest stay, staff greeted us in a very friendly manner, remembering his name and making us feel welcome. His room was spacious and spotless with snacks provided, plus juices, tea and coffee in the kitchenette space which has been in all his rooms. Staff checked in on all his requirements, offered us a delicious lunch and help unloading all his belongings.
Heather, thank you for your review. We are delighted that you choose Ascot Grange when respite is needed and we are here to support you both. See you both soon.
Thank you to you all
Thank you Allison for your heartfelt words. Dad is sorely missed by the team and was very special to us all. We are so pleased that he was able to come back home. Take care and we will see you all when you come and visit Mum next. Thank you for posting a review.
All went extremely well. Enjoyed the stay.
Thank you so much for your review. We look forward to your return visit next month.
Walking into Ascot Grange is like stepping into a warm bath. My Mum moved in for respite care but, sadly, was far sicker than we all realised and passed away a couple of weeks later. The staff were absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, right through to the very end, they couldn't do enough for Mum or the family and all done very professionally, with a friendly smile and a hug when needed. Nothing was too much trouble. The lovely surroundings helped too, Mum's room was so comfortable and everything was of such good quality while retaining a homely feel. I just wish she could have moved in a little earlier, I'm convinced she would have enjoyed the atmosphere, facilities and food.
Dear Karen and family, thank you so much for your kind words. I have passed on your comments to the whole staff team. Your mother was very special to everyone here at Ascot Grange and has left a vast 'emotional hole' within our loving community. This is a huge testament to the impact that Mum made,...
Ascot Grange Care Home is more like a 5-star hotel run by a family. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and makes a real effort to make the residents feel at home. The food is exceptional and nothing is too much trouble. There is always something interesting to do to keep everyone engaged and stimulated. The best place for my mother as it is so good to see her laughing again.
Thank you for your review. It has been our pleasure to get to know your Mum and yourself and we are delighted that she settled in so quickly.
A lovely friendly and caring environment. Dad is well cared for and has plenty of things to get involved with if he wishes. Dad particularly likes going out in the minibus and being involved in the gardening club. The staff are always kind to Dad and make us welcome when we visit.
Thank you for your review and kind words. Your father is a big part of the community, here at Ascot Grange. He is very popular with all of the team and as you say, he really enjoys our excursions out. We appreciate you taking the time to feedback.
My father went for respite in April 2024 and felt so comfortable and at home at Ascot Grange that he is now a permanent resident. All the staff have been so warm, friendly and caring, such a wonderful place.
Thank you so much for your review. We are really pleased that your father has decided to make Ascot Grange his permanent home, following a respite stay. He really is popular with everyone here. We look forward to continuing to support him over the coming years.
I would like you to know how much I appreciate the care and love that was given to my dad, while he was with you!
The level of care you all provided, surpassed my expectations and is something that all care homes should aspire to!
He truly loved you all and knowing this gave me peace of mind during this difficult time.
Each and every one of you at every level should be immensely proud of yourselves. You are all a credit to Avery Care Homes.
My very kind regards
We do miss your father very much. He has been a big character here at Ascot Grange for such a long time. His cheery approach to life lit up all of us. Thank you very much for your kind words as well as for the compliments you sent through to the client liaison manager previously: it has been shared...

Meet the Team (5)

Thank you for taking the time to read our bios. We love to see prospective customers, families and friends, new members of staff and the local community taking an interest in our community.
I am the General Manager for Ascot Grange. My role is to ensure that we deliver what we say we do. I am responsible for overall service delivery to our customers and community, inspiring and leading the onsite team and ensuring high standards of governance and compliance are achieved.
Over the last 20 years, I have had the privilege of serving the healthcare sector by managing and leading frontline care services for our elderly population. I have come into contact with many individuals who have willingly shared their life experiences and wisdom. This has reinforced my sense of duty and heightened my level of respect for our elders.
Over that time, I have been proud to lead and work alongside some amazing team members who have had a genuine passion for care and a true desire to serve. I have learned a great deal from these colleagues along my career journey.
I am very much a people person. I truly believe in the values of responsibility, integrity, kindness, compassion and doing what I can for others. The care sector has afforded me the opportunity to ‘live’ these values in the workplace, for which I am truly grateful.
I was immediately drawn to Ascot Grange because of the culture and principles the organisation aspires to. After visiting the home and meeting some of the residents and staff, I knew that this was where I wanted to work. I subsequently joined the Ascot Grange team in January 2022. I am now passionately working with the community and team here to take the home’s services forward. The team and I are fully committed to embedding the core principles of empathy, care, compassion and integrity into the Ascot Grange community.
Please note that my door is always open: do not hesitate to come and talk to me, should you need anything or if I can assist.
Thank you again for your interest in our community.

I am delighted to join the team at Ascot Grange as the Dementia Care Manager working with the Devenish Community and other residents on the dementia pathway. I strongly believe that all residents should be supported in living their life to the full and ensuring all are supported as an individual.
I have spent my career working in care with companies including Somerset Care and more latterly McCarty and Stone as an Area Manager.
When not at work I love to travel. I am from a large family and am lucky to have them close by so we are all able to spend lots of time together.

I have been part of the Ascot Grange team since June 2021. My role involves meeting prospective new residents and their families and supporting them through the often emotional decision of choosing the right home. I feel very privileged to be part of the wonderful team here at Ascot Grange.
When not in the office I love the outdoors and all forms of sport and recreation including running, golf, paddle boarding and skiing.

I started my career in care 25 years ago when I worked as a care assistant in a nursing home. This is where I found my love of caring for our older generation and I was inspired to become a nurse. I have been qualified for 14 years now working in various roles in the NHS, mainly in day surgery and surgical wards; in care homes as a senior nurse and deputy manager.
I began my journey with Ascot Grange as Nurse Care Manager in April 2022. It is a great privilege to be given the opportunity to work with such a wonderful team. It is my passion to make sure all residents at Ascot Grange have the best quality of care.

Having started my journey at Ascot Grange in 2020, I still feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to work in such a wonderful place with caring residents and staff alike. I have seen the home go from strength to strength and with the addition of new heads of department to the team, I am sure the home will continue to grow and increase from the solid foundations being built. I will continue to bring my knowledge from my past experiences and the experiences over the past year and continue to pair it with the vision and values that Ascot Grange and the people, both staff and residents here embody. I am looking forward to meeting you all when our current climate allows. My door will always be open if you want a chat.
