In a lovely leafy location with extensive landscaped gardens, Ascot offers something for everyone. With private en-suite accommodation coming in various sizes and styles, all complemented by either Assisted Residential Living, Respite, Dementia and Nursing Care.

Ascot is a very comfortable homely environment offering 96 studios or one-bedroom apartment with excellent dining options for residents. Ascot Grange also has a separate industry leading dementia suite in keeping with Stirling University's Gold Framework for those living with Dementia.

Ascot happily accommodates couples and companions who wish to remain together as they continue their care journey and make new memories together.

The home features two dining rooms and a further private dining room for special occasions. In addition, there is a cinema, hair salon, spa and treatment room as well as an activity and entertainment lounge.

The beautiful, landscaped gardens, which are easily accessible are tended by the award-winning landscape gardener and his team weekly and offer many different areas to sit out and enjoy the weather whilst the hospitality team are on hand to ensure your ongoing comfort and enjoyment.

My mum came to Ascot Grange for two weeks of respite. She was safe and well cared for. After some confusion regarding meds, this was rectified. Every member of staff she/we came into contact with was so friendly and caring, which makes a huge impact on a respite break. Thank you.
(My only negative
is the minimum stay of two weeks, which would deter me from using it at times).

My dad is being extremely well looked after. The staff are friendly and helpful. A very welcoming care home. Dad's room is cleaned thoroughly every day. And Dad looks clean. I love seeing the activities you all do with the residents.

Posh aesthetics on the inside, but poor management, nursing care that is non-existent even though you pay £650 per week for and complete lack of any care.
We put my mother in for respite care while we were on holiday. She had a sore on her back about a pea size but when she came home after 4 weeks
the sore had become infected and grew 5 times the original size. They lost half of her clothing and had someone else's underwear. She lost 3 stone in weight in 4 weeks. She was due to have a catheter change while in the nursing home but they refused to carry this out and again causing a UTI. We told the home and my mum told them multiple times but was ignored.
Use this so-called nursing home at your own risk. Be warned.

Communication - a very clear plan we all understood and bought into.
Logistics - an efficient admission process, although some details in the room were not properly prepared.
Welcome - my mother was made to feel welcome and very much at home.
Care - overall good, a few examples where greater use
of initiative would have been beneficial.

My husband was so well looked after in the care home, he settled in immediately. His personal care was first class. His entertainment was varied and very frequent. He loved singsongs and piano playing and he participated which was quite unusual for him to do as he was a very quiet person.
The atmosphere
there was exceptional, every time I visited he was in the lounge being watched by a carer (probably several carers) at all times.
He got 100% attention. He was helped to drink and accommodated with special cups. As he was a very slow eater he was allowed to sit at the table and finish his meal in his own time.
At no time was I concerned about his welfare. All the carers and there were lots, were lovely, kind and caring to him and to me. The council have moved him and unfortunately, it has not been a good move.
I know he misses everybody at Ascot Grange as I do.

The home is a wonderful, warm place for residents. They are well cared for, and the staff on Devenish go above and beyond to help residents.
Need more activities for Devenish as this is vital for stimulation and needs to happen more.

My mother came to the home for respite, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and caring. They made her whole experience of respite very positive; she was delighted with the standard of care she received and enjoyed the food and surroundings.

A perfect oasis for Mum and Dad following Dad's emergency surgery, which left him debilitated. Dad was back on his feet immediately with the excellent care and support given. Mum and Dad have both come on leaps and bounds, and their staff at Ascot have even been described by them as one of their carnival
cruises that they love so well. The food, entertainment and atmosphere are very much like a cruise holiday. As a family, the worry has gone. Thank you, Ascot Grange.

At very short notice, Ascot Range accommodated my mother, who had very bad delirium and was wasting away in hospital.
The team were supportive not just of Mum but of us, her family.
Mum rapidly improved with proper eating and on-site physio and care.
My mother can be incredibly difficult and stubborn
- the team were patient and wonderful with her and won her over.
Thank you so much for your care and support and for getting Mum back to a place she has not been in for several years.

Two weeks, had a wonderful experience. The first week was a bit odd as I did not ask for anything, but I when saw that if you don't ask, you don't get, but the second week was wonderful. Full of attention in every way. Staff so wonderful, always ready to help. Pleasant to talk to. Wholes service - A1.
Would recommend it if you can afford it. Good experience. Would come again if I can afford it. Very satisfied. Beautiful decore. Very pleasant.

I had been investigating respite options for my father late last year. When my father was admitted to hospital in early April I went to visit Signature at Ascot Grange (Sunninghill) to see how they could assist him after his discharge for a period of respite. My first impressions were the warm, friendly
and relaxed welcome a five-star hotel with care where nothing is too much trouble. It wasn't like any other nursing home I had visited. While he was in hospital, he was independently assessed by a member of the nursing team at Ascot Grange to ensure that he would receive the right care and support prior to his admission. My father is currently still enjoying respite six weeks later. All the team are amazing and work together to support him to make his stay as comfortable, fun and safe as possible. He receives visitors every day, and I even brought my dog in with me on Sunday. I can't t thank all the team enough for taking such good care of him. He looks like a different man than he did while in hospital.

After we lost Mum in April 2021, it was Dad who decided that whilst still able to look after himself, he was getting a little 'tottery' (his words) and was looking for the security of some extra support if needed, plus of course, the daily conversation that comes with living in a 'community' atmosphere.
After much searching and many visits to care facilities in the wider area, I found Ascot Grange in Sunninghill a bit of a revelation! For me, it was 'streets ahead' of the others, and whilst all had the genuine welcome and no doubt the similar exemplary standard of care, none had the 'hotel' and 'five-star' feel I experienced when initially walking into the reception and touring the facilities on offer. Dad moved into his 'apartment' room in April 2022, which he loves and has made a real home from home, being allowed to furnish it as he wished. Being a bit of a perfectionist, he still has some minor niggles to resolve, but as he's now on the various residents' Committees, that shouldn't take long!

When Mum's needs exceeded the combined efforts of live-in carers, plus support from my sister and I, we decided a care home environment would be better for everyone. We finally chose Ascot Grange, and Mum moved into the Devenish Unit in November 2021.
From day one, Mum has been happy and relaxed in
Ascot Grange, given the environment Mum believes that she is in a hotel! Mum has been very critical of care staff in the past, so we have been delighted that she is full of praise for all the team. My sister and I are also really impressed that team members cannot do enough to make Mum's world a happy, healthy and safe environment - not just the nurses and carers but everyone from the catering, housekeeping and cleaning teams too. There's an extensive range of activities that provide interest and stimulation.
There are sometimes communication issues between the family and the team, but Ascot Grange management is committed to resolving these issues.
We are happy we chose the right place for Mum!

I am the resident's daughter. I visit my mother three, sometimes four times a week. My mother loves the home; she always says how happy she is there and how she loves her room. The carers that she has do vary; some days she is dressed in matching colours and accessories, some days she looks a mess.
She is always clean. She needs drops in her eyes; unfortunately, some days these are not administered. We are very happy with the home and so is Mum, and that's the most important thing.

I had a very rewarding visit. I noticed the quiet, calming atmosphere, the gentle respectful intervention of staff for residents who needed this, and also the fun and joyful interaction with more vocal people.
I was pleased to see the bedroom was carefully organised to make choosing clothes, jewellery,
etc accessible.
We went to the cafe and were able to select cakes and coffee and enjoy this normal experience together.

Thank you for taking the time to read our bios. We love to see prospective customers, families and friends, new members of staff and the local community taking an interest in our community.


I am the General Manager for Ascot Grange. My role is to ensure that we deliver what we say we do. I am responsible for overall service delivery to our customers and community, inspiring and leading the onsite team and ensuring high standards of governance and compliance are achieved.


Over the last 20 years, I have had the privilege of serving the healthcare sector by managing and leading frontline care services for our elderly population. I have come into contact with many individuals who have willingly shared their life experiences and wisdom. This has reinforced my sense of duty and heightened my level of respect for our elders.


Over that time, I have been proud to lead and work alongside some amazing team members who have had a genuine passion for care and a true desire to serve. I have learned a great deal from these colleagues along my career journey.


I am very much a people person. I truly believe in the values of responsibility, integrity, kindness, compassion and doing what I can for others. The care sector has afforded me the opportunity to ‘live’ these values in the workplace, for which I am truly grateful.


I was immediately drawn to Ascot Grange because of the culture and principles the organisation aspires to. After visiting the home and meeting some of the residents and staff, I knew that this was where I wanted to work. I subsequently joined the Ascot Grange team in January 2022. I am now passionately working with the community and team here to take the home’s services forward. The team and I are fully committed to embedding the core principles of empathy, care, compassion and integrity into the Ascot Grange community.

Job Title: Dementia Care Manager Joined: 2022

I am delighted to join the team at Ascot Grange as the Dementia Care Manager working with the Devenish Community and other residents on the dementia pathway. I strongly believe that all residents should be supported in living their life to the full and ensuring all are supported as an individual.


I have spent my career working in care with companies including Somerset Care and more latterly McCarty and Stone as an Area Manager.


When not at work I love to travel. I am from a large family and am lucky to have them close by so we are all able to spend lots of time together.

Job Title: Client Liaison Manager Joined: 2021

I have been part of the Ascot Grange team since June 2021. My role involves meeting prospective new residents and their families and supporting them through the often emotional decision of choosing the right home. I feel very privileged to be part of the wonderful team here at Ascot Grange.


When not in the office I love the outdoors and all forms of sport and recreation including running, golf, paddle boarding and skiing.

Job Title: Nurse Care Manager Joined: 2022

I started my career in care 25 years ago when I worked as a care assistant in a nursing home. This is where I found my love of caring for our older generation and I was inspired to become a nurse. I have been qualified for 14 years now working in various roles in the NHS, mainly in day surgery and surgical wards; in care homes as a senior nurse and deputy manager.


I began my journey with Ascot Grange as Nurse Care Manager in April 2022. It is a great privilege to be given the opportunity to work with such a wonderful team. It is my passion to make sure all residents at Ascot Grange have the best quality of care.

Having started my journey at Ascot Grange in 2020, I still feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to work in such a wonderful place with caring residents and staff alike. I have seen the home go from strength to strength and with the addition of new heads of department to the team, I am sure the home will continue to grow and increase from the solid foundations being built. I will continue to bring my knowledge from my past experiences and the experiences over the past year and continue to pair it with the vision and values that Ascot Grange and the people, both staff and residents here embody.
