I have volunteered at this home on a few occasions where I have helped set up and run Xmas and summer fayers. There is a lovely happy feel amongst the staff and residents. Staff always go that extra mile. There is always something going on, coffee mornings, entertainers, day trips out etc. Fabulous

I had to put mum in a home for respite care whilst I had a holiday. After researching homes in the area Hawthorns looked lovely. I cannot praise all of the staff enough for the care and attention they gave my mum, it was second to none. Every member of staff was excellent. The place itself is more like
a hotel feel than a home, with lovely outdoor areas too. The food was fantastic and her room was beautiful. I would highly recommend the Hawthorns, whether it be for a short stay or to be a permanent resident. Thank you.

The minute we walked into The Hawthorns we knew we wanted our Aunt to be here.
We were welcomed with such friendliness and gentleness. The openness of the building furnishing and the rooms that were like a luxury hotel. My Aunt was thrilled and was excited to be a part of this. All of her needs will

My brother was at The Hawthorns for the last 2 1/2 years of his life, passing away in May 2018. The ambience of The Hawthorns is that of a luxury hotel. High standards of cleanliness were maintained and the food was excellent with an award-winning chef. The apartment was spacious. The atmosphere at
The Hawthorns was relaxed and welcoming, with staff responding to others with humour and humanity. My one complaint was resolved swiftly. As my brother became frail, nothing was too much trouble for the care staff and I particularly appreciated their support when coping with the shock of his death. They were well trained, professional and compassionate. The fees for The Hawthorns were steep but worth every penny to know he was looked after in a safe, supportive environment where he was treated with respect. Shortly before he died, my brother told me he felt at peace. Thank you Hawthorns staff for ensuring his last days were contented and stress-free.

My mother stayed at The Hawthorns Aldridge for 2 weeks respite care. I must congratulate all the staff on their care and attention they gave to my mother. Their friendliness and attention was exceptional. My mother said it was like staying in a 5-star hotel. We will certainly look to use The Hawthorns

The environment is luxurious, clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly and attentive to the residents and their relatives.
The food quality is excellent and menus are well planned.
My dad is independent so does not need care but all the staff are very willing to assist with odd jobs etc if asked.

Staff are very welcoming and friendly - nothing is too much trouble for them.


The carers are patient and understanding. The food is excellent with individual needs taken into account.

A beautiful retirement home. Staff are always friendly, welcoming and ready to help. We felt part of the family straight away. They give us peace of mind that mum is being well looked after, managing to keep her independence with care when necessary. We can't thank them enough.

My experience has been wonderful in every way with so much kindness from all the staff at all levels. From the management down, nothing is too much trouble. The freedom of movement, cleanliness - everywhere with food and activities which are shown each weekend for the coming week. I have been so impressed
as are all my relatives and friends who have visited me here and I am 92 years old.

My mother has been a resident in The Hawthorns Aldridge since August 2016. Throughout this time she has enjoyed an excellent level of care, which has changed and increased as he needs have dictated, vastly improving her quality of life.
The activity programme provided has included trips out in their
own mini bus, art classes, flower arranging and exercise classes aimed at maintaining mobility. The whole experience is supported by an excellent and varied cuisine.

Our entire short residence has proved highly satisfactory in every way. Care, friendliness of staff, genuine interest in the wellbeing of guests is exemplary in every department.
In no sense did we feel we were institutionalised and congratulations are due to your achieving near perfection as a concept

I came to The Hawthorns to experience what it would be like if I retired here; I don't feel I am ready to do this yet, but needed to have the experience. I was surprised to find it was a 5 star experience! The food is amazing; everyone is so comfortable and relaxed. The staff are wonderful and so caring.
I will certainly come again and when the time comes, I will probably retire here. It certainly is value for money. It is so modern and clean and the décor is lovely.

I came to stay in Hawthorns Aldridge from June 17th to July 17th 2017. I am truly impressed with the staff service. They do always have a cheerful smile on thier lips combined with the professionalism to whatever task they're assigned to.
I really love it here and have enjoyed my stay thoroughly. The
only point which concerned my attention is that the reception is not 24 hours attended. Sometimes between 7pm to 10pm visitors have difficulty to get through the gate.
