Review of Taymer Nursing Home from Rebecca M (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

From the moment mum went into the care home it has felt warm, peaceful, and truly homely. It is always spotlessly clean, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for both residents and visitors.

Maggie and all of the staff have been incredibly kind, helpful, and caring. They treat my mum with genuine compassion, dignity, and respect, and it's clear they go above and beyond to ensure she is happy and well looked after.

Knowing that my mum is receiving such excellent care gives me real peace of mind. I am so grateful to Maggie and the whole team for everything they do, and I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and supportive place for a loved one.

Overall Experience
After a couple of hospital admissions, our aunt moved to New Meppershall in early 2025, her dementia made living at home increasingly difficult. From our first visit, the kindness and compassion of the care team proved it was the right choice.
The staff went above and beyond, encouraging her to join activities and always taking the time to speak to her at eye level. Her bright room overlooking a woodland, with plenty of birds to watch, became a place where she felt calm and content when resting.
All staff communicated with our family exceptionally well, keeping us fully informed, giving us complete confidence that she was receiving the very best care.
The food was excellent, we were always welcomed to have lunch when visiting. Most importantly, her health and wellbeing improved significantly after leaving hospital, and she remained relaxed and well cared for until she passed away earlier this month.

We can't thank or praise the team highly enough for the exceptional care.

Overall Experience
My mum was placed at Taymer Nursing Home in a discharge to assessment bed from Hospital following admission for a collapse.
We were greeted by Maggie and team just before mum arrived at the end of May and from that moment until her transfer to permanent residential care at the end of June, we felt so supported and cared for . Nothing was too much trouble and even with mum being in a downhill spiral of dementia, she was loved and cared for beautifully.
The staff went out of their way to help celebrate mum's 90 birthday during her stay, allowing us a room to have a small celebration with family and friends.
Maggie even continued to stay in contact with us to check on mums progress once we had left.

We wished she could have stayed there but received amazing support to get mum into a fantastic home.

Review of Rosalyn House from N R (Son of Resident) published on 14 July 2026 Submitted via Website

I cannot speak highly enough of Rosalyn House and their wonderful team. Dad was with them for his last week of life and had the most thoughtful and caring team of people on hand to give him every comfort.
They went above and beyond to ensure Dad's last days were as comfortable and dignified as they could possibly be.
Thank you so much to Sergio, Abida, Millie, Eugene, Zorida and all the others I spoke to over those days that helped me through my extended stays with Dad.
Rosalyn House is a truly amazing nursing home and I thoroughly recommend their love, care and patience for their residents.

Our family will always be grateful for the kindness they showed Dad, and us, when it mattered most

Review of Village Green Care Home from Lesley V (Sister of Resident) published on 1 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I moved my brother to Village Green in April after he had been in another care home for 3.5 years. I had become increasig concerned about his well-being in the previous home but was reluctant to move him in case his mental health declined. I should have done it much, much sooner. Initially he went to Village Green on a 4 week respite basis but thankfully he has now become permanent. From the start of his move, Pawel and his amazing staff have been so supportive to both my brother and myself. I used to dread going to see him in the old home as I never knew what state he would be in but now I can visit without worry. I cannot thank everyone at Village Green enough - they are all kind, caring, supportive and compassionate. The whole team are welcoming - the management team, office staff, carers, cleaners, maintentance and catering. Their communication is excellent so I am always kept informed of any problems that occur. A shining example of how to do dementia care.

My daughter's and myself came to view Village Green on 30th March 2026 due to my husband being discharged from hospital. When we first came through the doors we were made to feel welcomed. The staff are really remarkable so friendly, caring and nothing is too much. We decided there and them this is where we wanted him to be.

My mum was at New Meppershall for only a few months before sadly passing away. She suffered with dementia and was declining, but it gave me so much comfort knowing she was there as the staff were amazing, really helpful and couldn't do enough to make my mums time comfortable.

Thanks to everyone, especially Elaine for supporting me as well.

Overall Experience

My mum went to Meppershall from hospital. We had not visited prior and it was both mum and myself first experience within a care home so we were not sure what to expect. We were both immediately welcomed and made to feel at ease. It is a very bright and spacious home and we were both pleasantly surprised. Mum stayed for 8 weeks and I can honestly say within that short amount of time it started to feel like home, the care and kindness all of the staff given not only to my mum but myself was amazing. I was constantly kept updated with mum's treatment and any health issues and it was lovely to see my mum bond and build relationships with the staff. Everyone from the nursing/care staff, admin, entertainment and housekeeping did their upmost to make mum's stay as comfortable as possible. Personally I also found the team very supportive, and always having a smile or a wave when I visited meant so much. I can't thank Meppershall enough for looking after us, it really is a wonderful place.

Review of New Meppershall Care Home from andrew e (Nephew of Resident) published on 4 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Uncle was admitted to the home in February 2025 in Bedfordshire which was a jolt to him as he lived in Kidlington Oxfordshire. It was on the advice of Social Services and the medical profession to be near relatives.
His room was one of the best, it was spatial with ensuite, chairs etc. The staff were brilliant in settling him in.
He was a character and all the staff knew of him in a positive light. There was a connection especially when the drinks trolley came round twice a day, hot tea, three sugars and a biscuit.
The Staff were forward thinking in that they actively engaged with the residents . The staff took the residents down the local pub, I joined them on one visit and they all enjoyed themselves. They found out that my Uncle was in the RAF, National Service so they arranged a visit to Duxford. He had a passion for cars so there was a visit to Silverstone to look at the cars.

The medical team in the home were at the top of their game for the benefit of my Uncle.

We moved Mum to Village Green after some issues at her previous care homes and honestly, we are so glad that we did. The level of care Mum receives here is second to none. There is a real sense of a personal touch and we have made some great friends here. I truly feel like Pawel and his team have become part of our own family.

Our uncle went to the home in February 2025. The family is very impressed by the care and love he experienced. That love and care extended to us too. The home took time to understand what would make him happy and took him to places including Duxford Air Museum, Silverstone, local museums and, his favourite, shopping in Milton Keynes. All the staff contributed to his mental and physical wellbeing, and were with him at the end of his life. We are so grateful, and so pleased we chose Meppershall for our uncle.

New Meppershall Care Home was wonderfully supportive in the care of my father. We found the care home extremely clean and well run; attentive caring staff, well prepared meals, regular updates on health matters and we were always made very welcome when visiting.
Of particular note was the support given to us in celebrating my father's 100th birthday - the planning and thought put into the celebrations was very much appreciated.

We would highly recommend New Meppershall as a warm, welcoming and well run facility.
