I like all staff at Heatherington House, good with the team and people who live at home. Good enough for us, love the house because I am living with a guy who is my friend. We go out together, to club dance with girlfriends and drink together all night 18:30 to 21:00, when we go home to bed until the morning.
My experience here visiting my brother has been absolutely outstanding. Extremely friendly, caring, supportive and professional staff. All residents are very welcoming too, and it's been wonderful seeing them all with their daily routines, smiles and generally talking with one another. The house and communal areas are absolutely beautiful. I've felt very welcomed and had an amazing time seeing my brother. I am already looking forward to my next visit in the near future.
We have found the manager and her team in Heatherington House, to be extremely helpful and competent in taking care of our son. They have worked selflessly during the challenging recent months. They all deserve an applaud from all of us and many thanks to all the wonderful staff.
A fantastic facility with dedicated staff. I don’t know where we’d be without the support that my brother receives. He’s completely at home there and is living a happy life. What more could anyone ask for?
I was greeted by the very friendly staff and a few residents shortly followed by the offer of a nice hot tea. (It was raining!) The facilities are top notch and very clean. The house was warm and homely. Residents all seem very happy and well looked after by the caring, attentive staff. A pleasure all round.
I like living here and go out on days out. I go up and see my family. I have lost loads of weight. I do all of my activities. Staff have also been helping me to paint my bedroom furniture.
They are very supportive around my arthritis and hip dysplasia. I am well supported around this and my poor mobility which is not down to weight anymore, it is more to do with my hip dysplasia.
Gretton House has been my daughters home for the last seven years and has been a lifesaver. The staff are caring, supportive and also welcoming when we visit. My daughter has never been as happy and settled. The house is always spotlessly clean. The food is always perfectly balanced and freshly prepared for their dietary needs. They are experts in the care and management of people with this very complex and life-threatening condition.
Our daughter has settled well at Gretton. She is safe and supported by the staff.
Since new management, the service has improved no end. My son is so much happier and settled. He has a balanced life and enjoys a variety of activities. He has a paid job in which he is doing very well. He has lots of friends and enjoys socialising which he has plenty of opportunity for. He is very excited about going on holiday to Portugal and has been counting the days. All the staff do an excellent job. I have peace of mind knowing my son is safe and happy.
It is well organised, kind and gives residents love and stability.
We are in constant touch by phone with her and sometimes the staff. They too are pleased by the progress she has made in such a short period of time.
Very pleased again with the staff at the care home, the same standard of high care and dedication from all the team. Well done and a big thank you.
Lots of activities.
The house staff are very friendly and professional. Resident has continued to achieve and highly maintain his physical health by keeping the weight off. He has lost well over 30kg in weight and is looking excellent! He is supported with working and socially. He has developed confidence and is happy. Never complains. I am truly grateful to all the staff for their support. Thank you.
My son has been a resident at Heatherington House for many years. He has been well cared for during his stay. He is encouraged to maintain a steady healthy weight which was the key factor in his placement. He is encouraged to exercise regularly and maintain his fitness level. He also has voluntary occupations which he enjoys. Over the last few years, he has become more independent with activities of daily living due to staff encouragement. I can't praise them too highly for their support to my son and to the family.
We do lots of cooking. We go out for cultural meals. We go to discos and holidays. The staff are nice and friendly and they keep me safe. I have nice friends and we spend time together. I enjoy bingo. I have won £250. I am very independent and go to work. I am happy to live here.
Staff help me and care for me. The other residents are my friends. We do lots of activities, such as karaoke. I like to play snooker. We have a television in the lounge. I get taken bowling and I play on my Xbox.
Heatherington House is a wonderful home to live at, for it brings every enjoyment and every single day of our PWS lives, every single year. The staff are all brilliant for they help us a great deal with our eating disorder to thoroughly brighten each day of our lives of a resident who lives his or her life with PWS.
I like going on holiday with the staff. I like going to the yard disco. I like spending time with my girl friend. I like going to the cinema and cultural meals, going to the gym. My weight is very good.
