stressful time for her and she is now manager at Hengrove Lodge, which we were all delighted about. She can always put a smile on the residents faces. The whole ethos has changed with lots of activities, music and even days out to the coast. On my last visit a few days ago, there was karaoke, singing and even dancing, with other residents playing skittles in the other room. I have been there at lunch time and the food looked delicious. The family have been able to make my friends room like a home from home, with her favourite colours - lots of photographs and things she loves. Thank you all for caring for her.

just the staff getting the residents involved in cake making, colouring in etc. when you visit there is always a happy environment. As a family it has been a relief to know that she is being looked after.

safe hands, it's been such a weight off our minds. The staff treat her with so much kindness and respect, and it's clear they truly care about each resident. The activities they organise are fantastic, keeping Mum engaged and giving her so much to look forward to each day.
A real highlight for us was the Christmas party, where families were invited to join the celebrations. It was such a special event and a wonderful way to bring everyone together, it really showed the thought and effort the team puts into creating a family-like atmosphere.
We are so grateful to Hengrove Lodge for the amazing work they do, it's brought so much comfort to our family. Thank you all for everything!

to feel welcome and involved in life at Belvedere. I received regular updates. The manager had a clear plan at all times and this was adapted where necessary as time went on. Belvedere has good relationships with other stakeholders, such as the GPs and the NHS support services, which helps ensure complete care is provided. Being a smaller home is a benefit as it ensures it retains the feel of a house and residents receive a closer level of care and great relationships are formed between staff, residents and families. A larger home would not have suited our situation so the environment was perfect for our care needs.

We have been able to treat the home as an extension to our family and appreciate the staff that are working with Nan.
The deputy is always attentive to her needs along with the care team (too many to name), this is a home-from-home type of environment.
Nan has been there approximately eighteen months and has a good rapport with staff.
We have got to know all the residents and it feels like one big family.

In the end, due to Dad's declining Dementia as a family, we decided that he needed care on a permanent basis.
Any concerns are always dealt with in a professional way, any problems I am called day or night regarding his health.
They even brought Dad to his granddaughter's wedding in July, so we could all enjoy the day.
I cannot thank the staff enough at Belvedere Lodge for their compassion & care for Dad & us as a family.
