We've enjoyed a lovely visit today seeing our friend. She was her happy, cheery self. Staff as always very friendly and accommodating. We were offered refreshments and sat in a very nice quiet space.
Thank you very much for this lovely review. I shall pass your compliments onto our team and we hope to see you again soon.
My step father came for a weeks respite, he has Parkinson's and dementia. The care during his stay was exceptional, he was treated with care, kindness and dignity at all times. All the staff from care staff, management and catering staff were very professional yet added a personal touch. They were able to meet all of his needs, including medication, care and diet. The care met all his individual needs, as well as the activities arranged for him and the other residents. The home has such a homely atmosphere, I would recommend The grange to short and long term stays.
Thank you Amy for these lovely & kind words. i will show all the staff this review to remind them of although hard a wonderful appreciation from yourself.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone on the amazing work you all do
Hi Sallyanne You are most welcome for care and help :) I look forward to showing the staff that all hard work is appreciated on your behalf as even words can mean so much in our job. Thank you Emma
I would highly recommend The Grange care home .
Hi Simon Thank you very much for your wonderful review. The team will love to see these words of kindness and compliment. Thank you Emma :)
The Grange team always go above and beyond, though they'll tell you this is just "normal." For us, as family members, it's so reassuring to know that each and every one of them truly cares. I couldn't ask for better.
Hi Kym Thank you so much for your lovely words :) We are extremely grateful to have support from you and other families as it makes our very hard job that little bit easier. We will continue to support you whatever you all need. Thank you Emma
My Mum was welcomed into the Grange in December 2024 as a respite care resident, due to a rapid decline in her dementia. My sister and I were exhausted and extremely worried about her health and well being. The staff at the Grange were a life line to both of us and our Mum, all staff then and now and continue to be patient and family focused, keeping my Mum at the heart of their care. We are always consulted if the doctors suggest any change to our Mums medication and my sister and feel listened too and our opinions are always valued. My sister and I visit at any time during the day and are welcomed in by all staff. Every time we visit, staff know exactly what my mum has been up to throughout day and they care for her happiness. If you want quality care, continuity of staffing who are invested in the residents then this residential home would be a perfect choice.
Hi Sarah Thank you for such a lovely review. We see you all as family and we hope we have reassured you and your family that we are able to offer our very best every day. Kindest ReagrdsEmma :)
Wouldnt hesitate to recommend to others.
Thank you for this lovely review. I will pass your compliments on.
I worried about my mum going in a home but to my surprise she loves it. They do activities, have parties, exercise classes. She loves the staff who are caring and friendly. Mum is allowed to be independent as well. Fantastic place.
Thank you, Linda, for this lovely review. Your mum is a pleasure to care for and makes us laugh daily!
The carers are kind, caring and really hard working, they would do their utmost to ensure my mother was as comfy as possible, also bonding with her, so times when family could not be there, they would spend time laughing and joking, trying to keep everything upbeat, it is a difficult job as some days she would be in pain, but as soon as the doctor had given permission for her to have stronger medication whenever she needed it, all she had to do was press the call button and she would be sorted. I know she really loved the care team as it was a huge part of our conversations when I went to see her. My mum did not have much mobility but she was happy enough to watch TV in her room and the view from her window was quite beautiful, often you would see squirrels playing. It gave the family peace of mind to know that Mum had fantastic 24-hour care, a huge thank you to everyone involved in her care.
I will pass your comments on to everyone once again thank you.
Beech Dene is a clean, bright, warm, caring home with staff that go far beyond just working there, they go out of their way to make sure all residents feel loved and cared for. Not just for residents but for their families too. The food is excellent, and the medical care is excellent. We never have to worry about Mum being on her own and lonely ever again. Would very highly recommend.
Thank you, Pam, for this wonderful review; we are so grateful.
My Mum lived in Cumbria and has Alzheimer's Disease. After a second fall and admission to her local hospital, we agreed as a family that the risk was too great for her to return home. She was very resistant to going into residential care and has been for a number of years. However, she agreed to go into residential care for a period of assessment. Her social worker suggested it would be preferable to be admitted close to me rather than the possibility of assessment in one home and then admission nearer me later. From my first visit to Beech Dene, I was impressed by the staff who clearly understood the challenges presented by someone like Mum. Since admission the staff have been caring and tolerant of Mum's occasionally difficult behaviour, Mum has settled very well, much to the family's surprise and pleasure. She is enjoying her meals and is joining in with some of the social activities. I have been able to have lunch with her and will do it again. I cannot commend this place highly enough.
I’d highly recommend Beechdene to anyone who’s looking at care homes for loved ones.
This is the fourth year my Mother has been cared for in The Grange. I have nothing but high praise for the staff team and management. Over the past 12 months Mum's been rapidly deteriorating with Alzheimer's desease and often presents with many challengingly behaviours which require specialist care and support. Staff at the Grange have been exemplary in all they do to ensure she's well looked after, her medical needs being professionally handled and her emotional behaviours sensitively handled. During some difficult times when Mum's struggled with the ravages of Alzheimer's, the kindness of carers, especially those who are in the management team, has astounded me and I've been moved to tears by their determination to do the very best for her. During my weekly visits over the years the family atmosphere and caring ethos has been remarkably balanced with fun, warmth and friendship. I've only ever heard kind words and supportive encouragement for all residents. I can't thank you enough.
We can't thank you enough for the lovely comment and praise for the staff and management. It is always our pleasure to take care of not only your mum but all our lovely residents who we feel only deserve the best. We will always be here for not only Mum but you and your family.
My mum went to Beech Dene about 9 months ago, she has settled well and always looks clean and tidy and happy. The staff are very helpful and interact with the residents. She has the hairdresser regularly and nothing seems to be much trouble.
My husband has been a resident at The Grange for the past 8 months, and knowing that he is cared for, and cared about, in a place where he is happy, contented and safe gives me a great deal of comfort.
Hi
You know how fond we are of you and your husband, we hope to continue our wonderful relationship with you both. Thank you for your lovely comments and review we really appreciate it.
The Grange constantly provides its absolute best for all their residents and I give them all a heartfelt ‘thank you’ for their care and affection and their constant willingness to ‘go the extra mile’. It is so reassuring knowing the lady we love so much is in such safe and caring hands. Please know that your ongoing dedication, care and kindness are seen and appreciated by my friend and me.
Wow!
What a lovely review to read, this will be passed on to all the staff that so greatly deserve the appreciation. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much to all of you.
This is truly a lovely comment and we couldn't be more grateful for this. We pride ourselves on the excellent care and continuous hard work that the staff go to. Many thanks for the kind words.
My dad has dementia and has been a resident at The Grange for a year now. It is a lovely, caring home away from home for him. His needs are always met and the staff are very patient, personable and always professional. It is clear they all know the residents well and every time I visit I am reassured to know that he is being loved in the way you would wish any family member to be looked after. The staff go above and beyond to make all the residents happy as well as accommodate any wishes of their family. I would not hesitate in recommending The Grange to anyone.
Thank you Alison for your lovely words, we are so proud of the care we provide and thankful for supportive relatives like yourself.
My husband, who has dementia, has been a resident at The Grange for almost a year. He settled quickly into the home, as a result of the excellent care all the staff have shown. In the past year, he has become much happier and relaxed than he was prior to coming to the Grange. The Grange offers an excellent range of activities for the residents, the food is great, and nothing is too much trouble. We recently celebrated our golden wedding, and The Grange staff put on a really lovely party for us both and our family. The decision to find residential care for my husband was very distressing, but I am confident that this was the right decision and that The Grange is providing him with all the love and care which I was no longer able to provide. I am very grateful for the excellent care they offer.
Thank you for your lovely comment, it is our absolute pleasure to provide not only your husband with support but you too. Once again congratulations on 50 years!
My mum has been a resident at Beech Dene in Leek for two years or so now. We wanted a small friendly home for her I researched many homes and in the end chose this one. Mum was diagnosed with mixed dementia and eventually, she wasn’t safe to be on her own. Right from the start she was happy and settled the home has a lovely friendly welcoming atmosphere. We never find her alone in her room, she’s always in a lounge with other company or doing an activity. The personal care is excellent, she always looks neatly dressed and happy. The care team are excellent! They keep us well informed of anything going on and are always available to talk to.
