Norton grange has a homely atmosphere. My dad feels very settled as if he was still at home. The staff are friendly and down to earth and always have a friendly smile and happy to assist with anything that is required to help my dad. I am made to feel very welcome when I visit and am always updated
on my dads wellbeing. The staff fully engage on all levels with my dads care whether it be conversations about his family or managing his medical conditions. The food is varied from day to day and plenty of snacks and drinks available throughout the day. The staff celebrate all occasions with the residents and this can be seen with the creative art work displayed depending on what they are celabrating.
Overall I am very satisfied with my dads care and as long as he is happy, I am happy.

My step father came for a weeks respite, he has Parkinson's and dementia. The care during his stay was exceptional, he was treated with care, kindness and dignity at all times. All the staff from care staff, management and catering staff were very professional yet added a personal touch. They were able
to meet all of his needs, including medication, care and diet. The care met all his individual needs, as well as the activities arranged for him and the other residents. The home has such a homely atmosphere, I would recommend The grange to short and long term stays.

First thing noticed - no smells. The building is well lit. The staff are very efficient and caring, this includes the cleaners. The staff are also very friendly. The room is very spacious and includes a television and hand basin. Food is very good and varied. Regular tea breaks with biscuits quite often
during the day. Overall a pleasant atmosphere.

My husband stayed at The Grange for Respite. From start to finish the process was flawless. Emma and the team made what I thought would be a stressful process extremely pleasant. I never had to worry about him being taken care of and they kept me informed of everything from minor to significant issues
but respecting that I needed a well earned break. Caring, compassionate, homely and the care being some of the best I have seen.
I would recommend The Grange to anyone having to find care and will be my only place I would look for Respite/ permanent care.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone on the amazing work you all do

Arden Grange Residential Care Home

from Sarah H (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 September 2025

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Staff are pleasant, approachable and kind. Dad is well looked after and it gives peace of mind to know he is getting 24 hour care and the carers are there looking after his welfare. The GP's surgery is nearby and the home is in a quiet countryside location, with plenty of birds on the feeders. Dad particularly
likes it when there is entertainment or a religious service /hymns as this breaks up the day and adds interest. They mark important days like Rememberance Day and have fun on not-so-important days , like Hallowe'en, which is great.

My mom has been at The Grange Care Home for nearly five years, and I can honestly say the staff are incredible. Nothing is ever too much trouble. She is safe, happy, and always looks completely "at home" - which is the very best I could ask for.
Recently, mom had to undergo an operation, and Emma,
the manager, actually came with us. She stayed with me throughout the whole process because she knew how worried I was. She didn't hesitate for a moment to be there for both mom and myself, and that meant the world.
The Grange team always go above and beyond, though they'll tell you this is just "normal." For us, as family members, it's so reassuring to know that each and every one of them truly cares. I couldn't ask for better.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum was welcomed into the Grange in December 2024 as a respite care resident, due to a rapid decline in her dementia. My sister and I were exhausted and extremely worried about her health and well being. The staff at the Grange were a life line to both of us and our Mum, all staff then and now and
continue to be patient and family focused, keeping my Mum at the heart of their care. We are always consulted if the doctors suggest any change to our Mums medication and my sister and feel listened too and our opinions are always valued. My sister and I visit at any time during the day and are welcomed in by all staff. Every time we visit, staff know exactly what my mum has been up to throughout day and they care for her happiness. If you want quality care, continuity of staffing who are invested in the residents then this residential home would be a perfect choice.

My Mother in Law was devastated to need to come into the care system and have such a massive life change, as were we, her family. We all had preconceived ideas. However, we could not be happier with how kind, caring , positive and patient all staff have been, right from the outset. We arrived and were
instantly put at ease, and made to feel like staff had all the time in the world for us. Mom in law. Is a very private person, and this has been fostered so carefully, respecting her dignity and privacy . After a few weeks at Bower Grange , it is heartwarming to see her settling in and start to socialise and make friends. She is starting to enjoy life again, I feel. Thankyou Bower grange Staff, because you are the heart of the home of your residents.

What a wonderful Care Home. It's been nearly 12 months since my Grandad moved in here after a hospital visit which resulted in social workers saying he needed to be in full time care. Heartbreaking & one of the hardest realities for us as a family to come to terms with but our mission was to find the
perfect one. Staff at Bower Grange are incredible & we chose them based on reading reviews like this online along with visiting. From the moment my Grandad arrived he was made to feel part of the family. The staff are compassionate, caring & they go above & beyond always to make him feel at home & reassure him. The love & care they have for all residents is clear to see which is heart warming as a family member that visits to know loved ones are truly being taken care of. The food is amazing, regular snacks/drinks throughout the day, weekly entertainment, hairdresser, fun days/Arts & Crafts & always so clean. Thank you all for being so amazing always. Truly appreciate all that you do xxxx
