We have no qualms about my dad going here for respite care.

My Grandma can be quite demanding and challenging to deal with, all the staff are excellent at caring for her and keeping her calmer. My grandma is happy at King William and really enjoys going on the trips that the staff plan for the residents. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the well being of all the residents.

I would definitely use park again in the future

The effort that is put into activities with the residents is also fabulous, the relationship the staff have with the residents is fabulous. My Mum has now passed away and I have no doubt in my mind she was in the best place.

Mum moved into King William in January 2026, from another care home. She was made very welcome by all staff and introduced to some residents. The staff asked what sort of things interested her, and what sort of foods she likes best. They go out their way to make sure she has things she likes in food, sometimes giving her different to what's on the menu that day. They make all our family feel welcome when visiting mum too, which makes our visits enjoyable to as it feels like a normal home. Staff are very knowledgeable on the care mum requires. Also are welcoming and friendly when opening the front door, and smartly dressed, in uniforms, so are easy to recognize. It's nice that there a hairdresser on site too, as mum always went to a hairdresser once a week, before needing care, so the routine can carry on for her. The home have taken her out on a few trips and she really enjoys the days she has been invited on. Keep up the excellent work at King William, from one very happy relate.

I moved my mum (who has advanced dementia) from a care home just after Christmas 2025 that I wasn't happy with as I feel they weren't meeting her needs, as soon as I stepped into King William I knew that this is where I wanted my mum to be, the place has such a nice feel and upon meeting the staff and the managers this was even more settling. The move was done quickly which is what I wanted and from the first day I didn't have any doubt in here care unlike the previous care home, there have been a few times mum has needed some extra help but they have kept me well informed of anything out of the ordinary with her daily habits. I don't want my mum anywhere else and I'm more than happy with every aspect of this care home. Keep up the good work.

King William and its staff have made a very difficult decision to put Dad into long term care so much easier than we expected. Their care and love shines through in the residents and he has settled better then we had expected. The entertainment and trips out are really beneficial to the residents and the staff help make precious memories for all. Dad has had a number of falls due to his care needs but we are always kept informed straight away and know that he is safe in the care of the home when these things occur. Thank you so much King William we would definitely recommend this as a place for your loved one.

The home is beautiful throughout and is always immaculately clean. All the staff show true care and compassion towards my grandad and put my mind at ease that my grandad is being well cared for and looked after. There is always excellent communication between management and staff members with myself and if needed there is always someone available to speak to no matter what time of day or night. I can't thank King William enough for everything they do for my grandad and also myself.

It is a very friendly place that really cares about its residents. The staff are great so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. When visiting you feel part of the king William family. It was the best decision we made for mum she is happy there.

Unfortunately my mother had lost the will to live but they made her passing as peaceable as possible. I and my sisters cannot thank the staff enough for all they did.

We moved our mum to The Firs as we were not happy with the home she was in. She had a beautiful room and everywhere is so clean. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The care she had whilst she was dying was exemplary and it was comforting to know she was not on her own when she died.

We couldn't be happier with the care and support provided by this wonderful care home. All the staff are so friendly, kind and caring, and it's clear how much they genuinely care about the residents.

There are some lovely activities arranged, which is fantastic to see, and we especially love being able to see photos and updates on Facebook and keep up with what our family member has been getting up to.

It's such a comfort knowing they are happy, well cared for and enjoying themselves. We're very grateful to all the staff for everything they do.

From the moment I first came through the door I knew this was the best home I'd looked at for my dear friend when her declining condition forced a move into care. All the staff are so friendly, yet efficient, treating all the residents equally with dignity & the utmost respect. My friend's growing needs are addressed with love & care. She has no close relative and has come to regard this as home, her carers as friends & family. They go out of their way to create that atmosphere. They have my respect & gratitude Thank you

I honestly cannot fault Codnor Park care home. They are absolutely fabulous. The staff are kind, caring and so compassionate. They treat all residents like family and my Grandmother has settled so well there. It is clear to see when you walk through the door that Codnor Park is a welcoming home for people. As a next of kin, the staff always keep me informed and are never in a rush to put the phone down but take the time to answer my questions. If all care homes were like Codnor Park, the world would be a better place. Thankyou.

My dad Dennis has moved into Codnor Park for long term care and from the initial room visit to him now being there has been nothing short of amazing. Staff are so welcoming and caring and are trying to include my dad in things. Fingers crossed he goes on some trips in the future. It is clear that Diane activities co-ordinator loves her job and tries to get the residents involved in all sorts.

My wife went into The Firs in November 2025 after battling dementia since 2019. I fought hard to keep her at home but her going into The Firs was my best decision, my wife is treated so well by all the staff the care they give her is beyond my expectations. When I visit im always greeted with a smile and a kind word.

Outstanding Care has been given to my Mum. Every member of staff is friendly with a caring, compassionate nature. All staff go above & beyond to make sure my mum is comfortable, I could not wish for a better nursing home for my mum. You should all be proud of yourselves as you are all amazing!! Super team! Splendid place.

My mum had a great experience at this home. I wasn't sure how she'd get on at a care home but this one feels more like a hotel stay which for her was comforting. She said how wonderful the staff were and really liked the room she was in.
