Live 2 1/2 hours away, so not able to visit often. At each visit staff and manager have had time to discuss and update father's condition and care.
Although dementia is obviously progressing, father appears well, healthy and content. He is allowed to walk around freely within a secure area. The area
is varied through different rooms and corridors, and is often supported in the garden to enjoy gardening, one of his favourite pastimes. Food always looks good, and Dad eats well, he always looks clean and presentable and shaved. We are always offered drinks and made welcome.
Reply from Pranali Tanna, Executive Administrator at Stoneyford Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and positive review. We truly appreciate your kind words. It's wonderful to hear that you feel your father is well cared for and content, and that our team is keeping you informed and involved in his care - especially given the distance you travel to visit.
We're delighted to know that he continues to enjoy his walks and time in the garden - it's always lovely to see him doing something he enjoys. Our team takes great pride in ensuring all residents are comfortable, well-presented, and able to live each day meaningfully, and your feedback means a great deal to them.
Thank you once again for your trust and appreciation. We're always here to make you feel welcome whenever you visit.

I wasn't happy, my aunt was moved several times, the last one all her underwear was missing and they tried to give her someone else's. I supplied hydration drops, when she left she had three FULL boxes, which is unacceptable. Once funding was tried to be implemented I was categorically told pay the
shortfall or move, this is after self funding for several years. Lost/ missing items. Language barrier is an issue. There is a new manager in the home now. This is the fifth since 2022. If I hadn't have asked for her tv upon leaving I wouldn't have got it. Things need to improve. My review is based on past management history not the new one. It's not good value for money when there are better ones with their own minibus in close proximity.

My mother moved into Stoneyford care home in July 2024. Mum has been really well cared for. The staff are very caring towards all of the residents. They are amazing people who do a fantastic job. The home is kept very clean and tidy. The whole team work very hard. They always communicate well with me
in terms of anything to do with mum. Security is good at the home, meaning that mum is kept safe. The building is well maintained and is looking good. Overall we are very happy with the service provided and the level of care.

My mother has resided at Stoneyford for the past 3 months and the managers and their team have been nothing but amazing in their support and care for my mum
I can feel comfortable and assured that my mum is in the best hands and they're seeing to all her needs.
My mum was initially concerned about
staying in a care home/residential home but after a few weeks my mum adores the place, and its staff from the catering, and cleaners through to the carers and entertainers she's having fun.
Cannot thank the team enough!

My father moved into Stoneyford Care Home in July 2024. The whole team, from management to cleaning staff are exceptional in every way. The level of care and kindness that my father receives is more than we could ever hope for and it gives us a great sense of peace that he's safe and so well cared for.
The accommodation is excellent, clean, tidy and well-maintained. The food is superb, with plenty of variety and choice, even for the fussiest of eaters. The staff are angels and couldn't give better care. We're delighted and so thankful to have found somewhere so lovely for Dad. A huge thanks to a particular staff member and the whole team. You're doing an incredible job.

Stoneyford feels like home. From the moment you step inside, the friendly staff are there to help. They are flexible to your needs. Visiting Mum in the hospital meant the need for an early or late tea.
Dad has coeliac disease, and the cook made lots of different meals and some amazing cakes. Overall,

I was away when Dad went into respite. I visited the home before I agreed for him to go in and was very impressed The room he was offered was clean and homely. The manager and staff were lovely. I took him in and fetched him home, so never actually saw him during his stay.

My mum has dementia, and she moved into Stoneyford Care Home in September 2019. This is a lovely care home, and Mum is really well looked after. The management and staff are really friendly and go above and beyond in the care that they give to Mum. She is really happy there. The food is excellent, and
there is a good range of activities for the residents. Communication between the staff, myself and my sister is excellent, and we are counselled regularly regarding Mum's care. We cannot fault the care that my mum is receiving.

My wife who has Vascular Dementia went there for daycare and when I went to collect her she had food stains on her clothing and they informed me that they wouldn't be able to accept her again. It seems to me that it's a dementia care home but if you've got dementia they don't want to know.

My father has been a resident of Stoneyford Care Home since December 2018. All the staff have gone above and beyond their roles to assist him, and he has been treated as one of the family throughout his time there. We have never had any concern in respect of his care and treatment. When visiting my
father, family members have always been made welcome, offered drinks, biscuits and cakes as a matter of course.
