My mum seems to engage quite well with the activity lady when there is music involved. I have no issues with how my mum is being looked after. She is always clean, hair washed and dried.
Always in clean clothes and seems as content as possible.

My nan is being looked after very well. There is now and activity lady who seems to brighten my nans day.

Resident is well settled in this home.
As there are not many residents care staff can care better for them.
Usually in the lounge where there us lots of coming and going so lots if focus on.
He has 2 trips to the day centre a week. There are other activities in the home.

I visit my friend who is very happy and so well looked after in Abbottswood.
In my experience all the staff are very caring and pleasant and happy. Everyone is treated with dignity.
The visitors are treated kindly and always offered a hot drink.
When I visit, my friend and I are always given privacy
to converse.

My dad has returned home to Abbottswood after an emergency admission to hospital. It was heartening to hear that Dad was pleased to be back home and be with familiar staff. Dad really seems to feel that Abbottswood is his home. Staff have kept me up to date with his health and how they are going to
gradually help Dad regain his mobility and strength.

My brother has been at Abbottswood Lodge for a couple of months on a temporary basis and I couldn't be more happier for him. I have observed great improvement in the day to day living of my brother. He is more engaging and doing his exercises. He also attends day services which he would not do before
and to my surprise he said he enjoys going too. The management and staff are amazing! The care given to my brother is exceptional (weekly GP rounds for example). The family is kept up to date with medical updates. We could visit my brother at anything (within reasonable of course). The environment is clean and welcoming. We are grateful to all at Abbotswood Lodge. Thank you so much!

The carers who met me at the door - for nearly 6 years now have been very friendly and polite - I feel welcome. The decor has become most cheerful and colourful recently.
My friend is content and looked after carefully. She has even been able to express her creative interests in painting there last
month.
I even get a coffee/tea and biscuit to share with my friend - like we would have done when she was able to provide them.

Since my brother arrived at Britania Lodge over eighteen months ago, our family have been delighted at the level of care that he has received. The manager and staff are all very friendly, and my brother speaks highly of them all. He has a lovely bright room, and there is a nice garden area aswell. The
meals he receives are very wholesome, and they have a good range of regular activities. He seems very happy there.

My mother is currently residing at Kimberley Grace Care Home. The staff have not only provided a high standard of care for my mother, but they have also been a great support to myself, as I have no knowledge of how a care home runs and what happens on a daily basis. They explained everything to me,
send me photos of Mum doing various activities/going on days out with the activity coordinators/eating lovely home-cooked meals.
They will update me with any NHS appointments that Mum needs to attend and make me feel that I am still a big part of Mum's life. When I visit the home all the staff take time to ask me how I am feeling about Mum being in a care home and will chat to me generally and remember things we have talked about previously.
I take my hat off to all the staff, as I can see it is a challenging job role and they are all doing amazing.
Thank you to all the staff there for making Mum part of their family unit!

I just wanted to reach out and say a huge thank you to everyone at Kimberley Grace Care Home, and appreciate all that effort along with the level of care given to my grandad at the care Home in recent months. The manager and the team have been and are amazing, friendly and so kind towards everyone,
always accommodating me on each and every time I have been to see Grandad, My grandad, who has dementia, was living alone and was struggling with not seeing many people or getting out to socialise. Since he has been at Kimberley Grace, the change in my grandad is tenfold! He is so happy, he loves the food, he enjoys the activities and blessed with the care he receives. I cannot thank the entire team enough, thank you all so much, you all truly are the heroes of our society! Thank you.

Mum has been at Abbottswood quite a while now and as her needs have changed they have adapted their care approach to suit. It’s a complete relief knowing mum is safe and being taken care of. The manager is extremely approachable and has also been very reassuring and supportive to me.

My nan has been in the care home for around a year and has absolutely loved it! The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful! They do lots of activities that I love seeing pictures of on the Facebook page. The staff have done an amazing job at making my nan feel at home. My nan has a lovely little
room, and the decor has a lovely little feel. My niece described the home as “a little fairy house”. Feel so at ease knowing she is in good hands! Would definitely recommend!

My mum moved into Abbottswood Lodge in July 2022. As time progressed, her behaviour became even more challenging, but the care she received was second to none. She was treated with care, respect and dignity by all the staff. Sadly, she died on September 16th this year. In her final days, she was looked
after amazingly, as were all the family who stayed with her. Thank you, Abbottswood Lodge; our mum could not have had better care anywhere. The manager was just brilliant.

My mum was at Abbottswood Lodge for 14 months. All of the time she was there, she received the best care we could wish for. They were caring and compassionate at all times. Mum was happy there. At the end of her life, all of the staff showed time and affection for Mum, and we cannot stress highly enough
our thanks to all of them. We would not hesitate in recommending Abbottswood to anyone who is looking for a care home. We could not have made a better choice!
