Review of Abbeyfield House from J S (Son of Resident) published on 1 October 2024 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mother has been staying at Abbeyfield for several years now. The care home is extremely clean, staff are friendly and helpful and my mother is treated with kindness and dignity at all times.
I am kept up to date with care plans, welfare, and activities and have recommended Abbeyfield to other people whose relatives have received a similar standard of care.

I have no issues whatsoever in recommending it to any other family members or friends.

My mum has been very well looked after and is much happier than when she was in her own home. She has regular contact with carers throughout the day, all of whom she likes and are very kind to her. The food is excellent. As a family, we could not be happier with the service provided.

Since Mum has been in Abbeyfield she has been cared for with dignity and has constant care according to her needs. She has commented, to friends and family, how she is not lonely anymore and how the food is brilliant.
When communicating with the home I have found everyone more than accommodating and very supportive.

Would recommend Abbeyfield for the care of a loved one.

Review of Abbeyfield House from Ian M (Son of Resident) published on 1 October 2024 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My Mother and Father are both resident at Abbeyfield. It is an excellent care home with wonderful staff who are very kind and caring. My parents have separate en-suite rooms and the whole site is very spacious with a number of different areas to sit, including a big garden. The residents are encouraged to take part in a range of activities. Mum and Dad like the food, are comfortable, and feel very settled at Abbeyfield.

Overall Experience

My father has been a resident in Abbeyfield House for over a year and we have been impressed with the care given. The staff are attentive and caring and do what they can to meet not only my father's needs but his 'wishes' too. Most days he enjoys a walk around the garden which has been thoughtfully planned to provide interest for the residents. The staff also make the effort to provide activities for all different interests.

I spent one week in Abbeyfield House for respite care. I absolutely loved it. The home was spotless, the staff were stupendous and the food was excellent. I am very much hoping I shall be able to go there again. A wonderful home run very efficiently by all the staff. Many thanks.

Overall Experience

My mother has been resident at Abbeyfield since February 2021 and so far have been extremely happy with all aspects of the home. My mother has a great bond with the staff, communication is good and the food and services are all very good. I live and work abroad and visit as often as possible but I have the knowledge mum is being well cared for.

Thank you for your very kind review, it always boosts staff morale when we have positive feedback. It is an absolute pleasure to care for your mum, she is very much part of our 'family' at Abbeyfield. And, it is always nice to see you when you visit.

The care home is excellent. My grandma recently passed away in there. She loved the home and knew a few people in the home too. The staff are excellent, I will miss seeing them. Facilities are good and it's nice they have activities on each week for residents.
