Care Homes Owned by Only Care in Derbyshire

I am very happy leaving my husband at the carehome he is always treated very well by all the careworkers and they are always very friendly to me & family who visit him. No complaints.

I would recommended Bramble Lodge to anyone the staff are friendy and kind alway's have a smile and work very hard. The place is spot-lessely clean and activtiey staff are happy and kind. The garden's are lovely and kept very tidy. Overall I would like to say a big thankyou to everyone involved especially the cook's for providing the resident's with such great food.

Bramble Lodge is a bright & warm environment, with friendly staff, Dad is safe & well cared for, being kept clean & shaven as much as his condition will allow.

My mother has been with Blackwell for over 4 years now, the care she has received, along with the attentiveness of the staff has been amazing. As expected, we were nervous about placing my mum in residential care, but the way Blackwell have looked after her very demanding care needs has really put our mind at ease. I receive phone calls if there are any concerns or if the team need to talk to me, and they are always on hand if I need to call - no waiting on hold or continual ringing to get through to speak to them. Recently the care home has had a bit of a freshen up, new carpets and a lick of paint. Removal of unnecessary clutter and it has really opened it up to be an inviting, clean space. It was perfectly good previously , but we have certainly noticed an upturn in the recent months. We have no problems with my mum being here, and feel lucky that she has the care she has.

This is a wonderful home my mother has vascular dementia and over the last 17 months she has become more and more reliant on care. She has been in several homes but this is by far the best , it is clean, well staffed and her room is spacious and well equipped. The staff really care about the patients and especially my mum they keep us well informed as to her condition and go that extra mile we can't praise them enough. They have a full and varied activities callender and try to involve all the residents . It feels like a home and not an institution unlike so many others they are not monetary driven but really do care. My mum has been a resident since November 2024.

Dad has been at Bramble Lodge since May 2024 and has received exemplary care from all the staff since his arrival. They have treated him with dignity, and are always kind and compassionate in dealing with his ongoing dementia, and the challenges it brings. The activities are second to none, the care staff are amazing, the food and nutrition is excellent, and all managed by a supportive and attentive management team. Dad can't be in his own home, but Bramble make it home for him and us, with their excellent care. I cannot thank them enough for all they do for our whole family.

Every member of staff at Bramble Lodge is worth their weight in gold!! All staff go above and beyond for the residents. From the food to activities to personal care, Bramble Lodge provides the best possible experience. Bramble Lodge is one big family and ensure all of my grand-dad's are included as well.

My mum, Olive, is living at this fantastic home from home. The care that she gets is second to none.

We are very happy with the care and support our mother receives. All the staff are very pleasant, helpfull and always have time for you and my mother. If we had a negative to say it would be over lost or missing clothing even when it is clearly marked up not just for mum but other residents (minor niggle). We would and always recommended the home to anyone looking for their loved ones. Thank you everyone.

Whilst I was working, I had dealings with numerous care homes in both Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, Blackwell in my opinion is certainly 5 star.

Since walking through the door to look around Blackwell Care Home, the warmth, care and compassion has been amazing. The team are so helpful and supportive to both Mum and our family. We are really happy with the systems and processes in place to keep Mum safe. The activities on offer are great and I'm so pleased that you post updates on your social media page for us to see Mum taking part and enjoying herself.

Staff have always shown kindness to my mum. When she has been upset, they have taken the time to identify trigger factors. They have also acted quickly, registering a deterioration in condition and referring to the appropriate service. She and I feel very safe under Hollybank's care.

Mum was in bed in hospital before going to Hollybank and was up in the common room within 2 weeks. She seems happy and well cared for. She's been in hospital again due to a chest infection, and we were informed and consulted at all points. Food is lovely.

My father has settled very well into Bramble Lodge. He seems very happy, telling us how lovely the food is. (Dad no longer has capacity). Natasha and all the staff are extremely caring, very approachable and always happy to help. The home is in a lovely condition and always kept clean. I would like to thank everyone for taking such good care of my dad. I would not be able to manage without them. Thank you.

My Mum has been in Blackwell Care Home for about 4 months. I am happy that she is being adequately cared for in a safe, clean and caring environment. Her personal needs are being met, and she is encouraged to engage in meaningful activities.

Not had much experience of care homes, but it seems very clean & tidy and not smelling like some others I have visited. Staff seem caring & efficient, sometimes they seem to be busy to take my mam to the toilet straight away. Seem to have a lot of activities going on, involve the visitors as well. My mam has vascular dementia quite badly, so unfortunately can't ask her for a opinion as most of the time she does not know where she is. But we know that she is safe and that piece of mind for us all.
