My mother In law has been in care of Elizabeth house care home for over a decade she was moved here following a safeguarding issue from her previous home she has had the best care and the staff treat her like a family member i could not imagine her living anywhere else the care the compassion and the
understanding of my mother in laws needs are second to none (swear words) are appropriate in her mind she likes being spoken to like a human not a care patient and the staff 100 percent have cared to her needs forever and a lifetime the have a person centred approach which is so needed and as a family member I have made a family the carehome staff team as she is the longest resident still standing (or sitting cause she can't stand ) I hand in heart have nothing negative to say about the service the staff and the care absolutely amazing

My mother entered Elizabeth House in 2019 and lived there for half a decade . During this time she was truly loved and cared for by this wonderful staff and manager. They work so hard always showing compassion & understanding of conditions such as dementia . Through covid they kept my Mum safe and
well & protected their residents. They kept things fun for them during the scariest of times . They could always tell me about my Mum how she had been that day any health concerns they had felt she needed support with & any activity she had loved . There was always singers or pet therapy or zoo lab or bingo . Something was always happening . My Mams restlessness due to her dementia meant she was prone to falls but the staff again protected mum so much .People say when dementia ends someone's life they lose their battle against dementia .Well this staff helped my Mum to win her battle by making sure she was happy ,safe ,interested & loved until & throughout her final moment. Thank you all x

My mum was a resident in Elizabeth House for 6 years. Her room was spacious with en-suite bathroom and shower on the ground floor.
Daily activities include all residents and staff take the time to link activities to the seasons and events such as VE Day. There is always a raffle or event happening.
Meals
are excellent and varied. Kitchen staff were always accommodating when mum needed a special diet or meal.
There is a lovely homely feel to the communal areas. Mum loved to have her hair done and having regular chiropodist visits were good too. The staff in the home from housekeeping, kitchen, admin, carers and seniors/manager are all dedicated and caring towards residents and their families. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff.
My mum was happy living there and was extremely well cared for every day. As her daughter I visited nearly every day and felt like part of the family too.
I couldn't have left her in better hands.
I would certainly recommend Elizabeth House.

Elizabeth House has a cheery home from home feel to it which you notice at once. The home is clean and the food is good. A hairdresser visits once a week and the residents are encouraged to take part in activities. The new manager is full of enthusiasm and is introducing new ideas to make things even
better. Every member of staff, from kitchen to management, is amazing. They all treat my Mum with care, respect and love. They take time for a chat with her and will give reassurance and a hug if needed. Dementia is a challenging illness so I have genuine respect for their patience. Any worries or concerns I might have are addressed quickly and I am kept informed at all times. Mum has been a resident for almost three years and I feel that I now have an extended family in Elizabeth House.

I cannot thank the manager and the carers who have looked after my uncle for their dedication to how my uncle had been treated. I knew he was in safe hands and cared for. Lovely people and I know my uncle would have said the same, how amazing there all are. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Well done, five star.

Myself and my sister are very happy with the care our Mam receives at St. Mary's. It is a very relaxed and happy caring home. We feel so at home with Mam when we visit. The management and staff cannot do enough for the residents. Extremely helpful and considerate and kind. Many many thanks for looking
after our precious Mam. The quotes in reception sum up this home. Kindness.

I have lived at St Mary's Care Home for 2 years now and really enjoy living here.
The staff are kind and treat me with respect. The food is outstanding and they cater for my needs.
I can raise any concerns to the home manager and he deals with these concerns straight away and takes time to talk to
me on a daily basis.

I moved into St Mary's in December 2017 on respite care and it has been the best decision to remain at St Mary's long term. My health improved and that is because of the staff encouraging to eat and drink. The home manager and staff are excellent and they deliver great care. The food is outstanding
and plenty of choice is offered

Very pleasant and homely care home. My friend has been resident here for a few years now and I personally have never observed any problems when visiting.

I am almost certain that family are all quite happy that their mum is so settled here.

My Mother gained a permanent residency at St Mary's 3 weeks ago and already feels part of the family. On arrival, I am greeted with a smile, tea and biscuits. Both Manager and staff are always on hand for a chat or to resolve any issues. A big thank you to the activity coordinator and team for providing
lots of varied Activities and Outings. An impromptu one to one walk to the village has helped my mother feel independent again. The carers at St Mary's are very personable, they have taken the time to really get to know my Mother. They know all her personal preferences from food choices to her appearance and work hard to ensure that both are maintained.
Thank you for the Valentines party we had a wonderful evening, the female singer was amazing.

I am very pleased with the care and attention my mother has received at St Mary's. Although she has been poorly this winter, the staff have looked after her well and aided her recovery. The rooms are clean and spacious and can be personalised to make residents feel more at home. The manager and staff
are very caring.
