Turn Furlong is a wonderful centre for rehab. The environment is superb, clean, the staff are so friendly, very welcoming, the food is good. I couldn't be more happier that my mum us currently being treated there.
The carers are always helpful and friendly, the interiors are always immaculately clean & tidy, the meals are varied and balanced, and there are lovely garden areas for residents and their visitors to enjoy sitting in during warmer weather.
I have visited a very close friend who is currently a resident twice in the last two weeks. I am very impressed with the home itself, its cleanliness, staff numbers and their friendly and caring approach to their patients. It must be gratifying for the patient and their families to know they are being given the best of care.
My sister arrived at Southfields earlier this year due to Ridgway House, Towcester closing, my sister was immediately made welcome and was given a very nice room. She was given excellent care and friendship whilst she was at Southfields by the wonderful caring staff. I regularly visited my sister with my wife and was always made welcome. Sadly my sister passed away on the 20th of November. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care Barbara received. Grateful thanks to all the staff members at Southfields.
But my fears were soon allayed. The home is perfectly adequate. The staff have been extremely accommodating and more importantly care so much about her and the other residents. I have been pleasantly surprised with her new home and wanted to share my experience here so others feel more comfortable should they or a loved one be thinking of moving here.
The care given to my dad by the manager and her team was outstanding. So professional and still able to give that wonderful human touch, despite the COVID situation. The staff’s kindness and love will never be forgotten. Being far away and unable to see my father, every effort was made to let me FaceTime him and communicate. The rehabilitation was awesome too, he absolutely loved it. I highly recommend Turn Furlong on every level, it was a world-class experience.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Wishing yourself and your family all the very best for the future.
Did not enjoy my time there. Being in isolation did not help but did not like the way I was spoken at times like I am busy, get on with it. Also, a patient next door crying told to shut up and wait. Why you on the phone all the time? Moaning at me because I wanted to go to the toilet too much, lost my shampoo for my hair in the shower. Would not plug my phone in to charge as fed up with it ringing. Was told I do not know why you are in here, this is for rehab people?. I may have had a stroke but my brain functions well. I was a carer for 30 years and know how you should be treated. Also, there were problems about what medication I was to have, only prescribed stuff.
We at TurnFurlong are very sorry to hear that you had a negative experience during your respite stay. As we support all the Covid cohort community in the specialist care centre discussions are always had with people seeking respite prior to admission. As you can understand this is to maintain...
The staff are managing the covid situation well, although we cannot see pops at the moment the staff assist with video calls and helping him reply to our messages and any requests we have, nothing seems to be too much trouble and appreciate them keeping us updated with how he is doing and activities he has been involved with
The staff are always helpful, making sure dad sees his emails from us all and sending his replies. During this difficult time, it's reassuring to know he is well looked after.
An outstanding standard of care provided and I am totally confident that the level of care and safety my father is receiving is excellent. Over the past year, he has been through traumatic times losing his wife and home yet the personal care and attention provided by the management and staff has given him a new life. Taking in the factor of his Alzheimer’s, overall the staff have persisted in reaching helping him to reach his potential in many ways and are constantly aware of stimulating him mentally and physically. Family requests have always been accommodated even though limited during restrictions of lockdown. He is always available for spontaneous video calls and his needs are met by staff during these calls, especially when he gets anxious or upset. I am very happy with Longlands and the high standards of staff/care reflect the caring attitude and personal sacrifice of the management team there.
My brother has been in Longlands Care Home for about seven years and has always been cared for very well. Nothing is too much trouble, especially for some of the staff who have been there as long as him. If I had to be in a home this would be my choice.
I wanted to leave a review about the care my grandmother has received at Longlands Care Home as I was so appreciative of the efforts made for her special birthday during these most difficult of times. She moved into Longlands a short while before lockdown and since being there all staff have been so kind and welcoming to both her and the family. We moved Grandma to a care home with reluctance but her room feels like a home from home. Her 100th birthday was in August and despite the restrictions of Coronavirus, the staff worked so hard to give her a special day. They made special effort in helping out with her dress, her hair and makeup, even getting hold of matching nail polish for her which would matter to Grandma! They enabled us to spend some time (at a distance) with her on the day, and treated her with such evident kindness and patience and following a recent stay in hospital sat at her bedside on return to the home when we could not. Many thanks to them all.
anytime.
My mother is a resident at Longlands Care Home. Both my mother and my family are very impressed with the care. The staff are very friendly and helpful. In my opinion, it's definitely the best care home in the area.
I would recommend Longlands to anyone whose loved one required residential care. The staff are always caring and friendly and always have time to discuss any concerns or queries. Mum talks fondly of those who look after her and we could not ask for better care.
Always find staff friendly and welcoming. Mother-in-law frequently talks about the staff fondly. They try to take the time to converse with her as much as possible. With regards to activities, I assume they are not taking place as much due to Covid-19, but know they were very good before. No worries about her care at all.
All care needs are continually met in a safe and very friendly, helpful environment. Mum is very happy in Longlands, everyone is always cheerful and pleased to see us and there is always a readily available update on Mum's welfare, both pastorally and medical.
Would always recommend it for a family or older friend
Mum was here for a couple of weeks after being on HDU in the general hospital and after a stay on Cedar Ward the team here got her confidence back, physio was there most days and from cleaner to the big boss staff were great. Any questions or worries we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently, even calling Mum at home once she had left to check on her. Greatest thanks and respect to you all!
Overall a very gratifying experience and I wish health, happiness and success to all concerned.
