Overall Experience

My dad moved into Alexandra House two months ago, and he is thriving due to the exceptional care given. My family are overjoyed and couldn't be more assured that Dad is safe, happy and cared for to such a high standard. Thank you. Alexandra House is beautifully clean and maintained and has a proper homely feel.

Overall Experience
My 97 year old father lives alone and became exhausted while struggling with a health condition.
He had three weeks of respite at Alexandra House and the excellent support and care he received has enabled him to return home and resume an active and independent life.

We chose Alexandra House as they also cared well for my mother in her final years.

My husband was cared for with the utmost skill and compassion while at Alexandra House. The management and all staff did everything they could to ensure his comfort during his last days.

Thank you so much to all the team at Alexandra House for caring and looking after my Mum during her recent 2 week short term stay. At 98 my Mum had never been in a Care Hime situation before and was quite anxious before staying at the home. I have wholehearted praise for the care, love and support that she has received. She herself had no complaints whatsoever about her stay. She found the staff very helpful and supportive, nice food with a varied menu and stayed in a lovely newly refurbished room. As her son, l too had the comfort that she was being very well looked after during my holiday break. Highly recommend.

I visit my aunt, and my late mother was here, and I found that the staff etc. have been excellent in their care.

Lovely, friendly staff who take care of mum and treat her with dignity and respect. My only concern is that mum has had several falls and has been left to go upstairs alone via the stairs when she is vulnerable to falls, and she has had previous falls and has had previous falls and breaks - we know she is a wanderer, and this is our concern.

My father, felt not only cared for but also loved from the moment he arrived at Alexandra House in Ludlow. As the months passed, the care, compassion and skill of the carers there gave him a quality of life he could never have enjoyed in his own home. He made friends, played games, started walking on his walker again and felt as if he was part of a family. Visiting him was always a pleasure in part because the carers were always so friendly and warm.

In his last weeks, the skill, care and kindness shown to him - and me, his only daughter - was truly magnificent and brought great solace and comfort to us both. When the time comes, I hope Alexandra House will find a room for me!

Alexandra House provided an immaculate room for a terminally ill friend of mine at very short notice at a weekend. He was cared for by the owner and her team with great kindness and skill. They accessed urgent medical advice in the small hours of Sunday night, and sat quietly with my friend as he passed away.

I have over many years seen multiple Care Homes and Nursing Homes, and I unhesitatingly recommend Alexandra House for their dedication and humanity, in pleasant settings.
