The Staff are so thoughtful and caring. They take great care to include all the residents in the activities at the home whilst allowing residents to make choices for themselves, still giving them that sense of independence. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and they make themselves available to family as well as residents, which provides us with well-informed, accurate information. I would heartily recommend this home.

My sister spent a month in respite care as I had several infections and was unable to look after her as she has dementia. It proved very beneficial both to her and myself as it gave us time to readjust. She was rather confused to begin with but the staff were most understanding and caring, which helped her to settle in. Since then she has attended a day care session once a week and so looks forward to going , being greeted by name, chatting with residents, enjoying a meal with them and joining in the various activities on offer. I chose Mile Oak because it is a small rest home and none of the residents are separated, unlike the larger homes. It is such a friendly, happy home with loving, caring staff. It was recommended to me and I am so glad I followed through with an initial visit and a placement.

My widowed mother has been a resident there for around one year now and during all that time she has been very happy to be there. The staff and Natalia have shown consistent care and attention to her as well as always being very friendly and professional. Mile Oak is just the right size with plenty of activities, etc for the residents and with a homely feel to it.

Mile Oak feels homely and all of the staff are friendly, cheerful and helpful and very welcoming to families who are encouraged to join in or come for lunch. You can see that they have a kind, happy, respectful and good relationship with dad and the other residents and they allow Dad to decide whether to join or not with the many activities that are offered. Some staff have been especially supportive and the care manager is kind, calm and helpful and although very busy, has helped with advice with some issues, sorted out dad's hearing aid repair with the NHS and obviously has the residents interests at heart, such as taking time out to help dad in activities when he had no hearing aid. Of the care homes that I have seen, I would gladly make this my first choice!

What a fantastic team! My Nan has been a resident there since May 25. The whole team are friendly, supportive, caring and goes beyond the call to make sure residents are truly cared for. I can't recommend Mile Oak highly enough

As expected it took a while for our mum to settle in to a new style of life. The transition was made a lot easier by all the staff at Mile Oak. They are wonderful, caring people. Always making the residents laugh and putting on activities for those that want to join in. Our mum has been there for 9 months now and in that time you can see how much they have done to modernise the care home and quite a lot of changes have been made, all for the good of the residents, family and staff. They are also very supportive of the families.

My mother went into Mile Oak in April 2025 and it didn't take long for her to settle in there and realise how special it is, and she absolutely loves it. She has recently celebrated her 100th birthday, the home pulled out all the stops in throwing a wonderful party for her, her family and all the other residents. The staff and the management team are kind and caring, the residents are treated with dignity and respect. She loves all the activities especially being taken out on trips and being treated to coffee and cakes. She is always saying how well looked after she feels and how well she is treated. I have had meals with her and the food is excellent and she loves the odd glass on wine. Mum has not only accepted Mile Oak as her new home but is happy to tell everyone this is her home and I know she would not want to be anywhere else - quite simply she is just living her best life and looking forward to spending many more years being looked after there.

Since coming here from living at home, I feel very well supported. Although I am older, I still feel young, and the carers certainly make me feel good about myself. The food is lovely, the staff are fun, and the lady who met me at home and brought me here has been lovely, a comforting face and keeps me laughing.

We needed to find somewhere for my mum to be looked after at short notice when my dad was taken ill, and my mum has just finished a stay of 3 weeks at Mile Oak. Natalia the manager was fantastic throughout, and all of the staff were positive, friendly and helpful. They all made her stay very comfortable and she felt well looked after and reassured at a difficult time. There is a very friendly and supportive atmosphere at Mile Oak, and I would certainly recommend it to others.

A very homely home, I feel very well taken care of here. All of the staff are very kind to me, and I have made some lovely friends.

I found Mile Oak Rest Home very pleasant and very accommodating. The decor and ambience of the home better than probably a year ago. Well done to the owners and staff. We enjoyed the 80th VE day celebrations. My wife and I are family friends to one of your residents.

My Dad has been at this wonderful rest home for over a year now. It's feels like home from home and the staff are wonderful and caring , it's like one big family. Always feel welcomed and the care for dad and his needs is always met with dignity and respect. Food is wonderful, event planning always fun and family & friends are always invited to join in. Can't fault and it's reassuring knowing dad is being cared for.

Always listened to and requests attended to quickly and cheerfully. Meals are adjusted if necessary to meet requests. The staff and management always welcoming, polite and respectful to my relative and myself. My relative is very happy to be a resident here and tells me of the kindness shown.

My mother went to Cornelia Manor for 2 weeks respite and decided to make it her home where she felt safe and secure knowing there was always staff to help when needed, and where she could socialise with others in the lounge also dine together or in her own room. The staff were always friendly and helpful to visitors making us feel welcome. My mother was treated with care and compassion and always a smile from all staff regardless of their status. I visit a resident at Cornelia Manor regularly and I always find the staff welcoming, always get a smile and a friendly welcome. The staff are wonderful with the residents. They are so caring and understanding, encouraging and helpful. The management team are always willing to talk and help with situations concerning me about things related to the resident I'm LPA for. They're all fantastic! Keep up the amazing work you all do.

I have lived here now for three years and I have been extremely well looked after. The staff are excellent, everyone is very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, with a good choice of meals. If I have had any medical issues, I have been treated very quickly and monitored very well.

I am very pleased with the care provided and the everyday interactions I have with management and staff at Cornelia Manor. Despite staff changes, the high standards previously set have been maintained. I enjoy my visits, which may seem strange to say, but my relative is well cared for and comfortable, what more could I ask for?

I have found all the staff really engage with my father and have his best interest at heart. My requests are readily dealt with including making a cake for his 100th birthday. he is very happy having all the things done for him that he now can't do for himself, which makes me happy and relieved.
