Even before the issues arose, the manager would hardly ever respond to my emails or calls and there was always some sort of excuse. The building itself is in a terrible condition with windows nailed shut to stop them falling out, toilet seats hanging off, rusty hoists in bathrooms, and paint and plaster hanging from walls and ceilings to name but a few. By the time my Mum left she had lost so much weight and looked so ill it was heart breaking. I would absolutely NOT recommend putting your loved ones in this home.

The Covid pandemic has been a very difficult time for everyone but I am confident the staff have followed Covid safe practice to keep the residents as safe as possible. I video call with my cousin weekly and can see she is so happy and content there and she speaks fondly of the Manager and Deputy Manager. I totally recommend Roxburgh House to anyone considering residential care for a loved one.

We can all wish our loved ones did not have to live in residential care, so it's a great relief when you know they are being well looked after. COVID restrictions have meant that I've only been able to see photos of his room, but hoping that will change very soon.
