Managers and careers are all very helpful and keep me up to date with any changes to is health. He's very grumpy but thinks the staff are lovely.

My Dad has been in Swallownest Care Home for 2 weeks of respite. We both found the home very welcoming and each and everyone of the team work so hard to keep all the residents safe n happy. Thankyou for your kindness, the fun activities and the excellent food.

I am here on respite. The staff are very helpful, obliging, kind. I have felt comfortable during my stay. My daughter chose this home for me and I couldnt be happier The food has been very good and the puddings are lovely, if I need respite again I would definatly com here.

My mother in law became a resident in May 2025. My initial experience was of a well run home with fabulous caring staff. The home has recently changed owners and to their credit majority of the excellent carers have been retained. There has been a few teething issues on the admin side which has affected communication to families. These are gradually being sorted which is good and this can only get better. The new owners are also very keen on well trained staff which is vital when dealing residents with complex needs. I feel that my mother in law is receiving good care and would recommend Ascot Lodge to those considering placing a relative into care.

My partner has been in Ascot Lodge for over 5yrs, in that time I have been impressed with the standard of care, & the professionalism of nearly all of the staff, now that the running of the home is under the direction of a new owners, I am very pleased to see that standards have improved and updating of all facilities is ongoing, so please keep up the good work, maybe more carers would help, and cctv in the main areas to assist with security.

As a family we are so relieved that mum is safe and content.

My mum is at Ascot Lodge and has been for over 2 year's it was really hard for me to put my mum into care but I knew it was for the best. When me and my niece went to visit Ascot unannounced while my mum was still in hospital the staff were so friendly and welcoming they let us have a look around it was so clean that was the first thing I noticed. My mum is settled there I think everyone likes her even though she has her moments but don't we all. The staff are very friendly and they do there best if you have a problem you only need to speak with them and it's sorted. The new manager is lovely (Emma) the care staff, the domestic staff and the activity member Laura is lovely. It's just one big family and I'm happy to be a part of it with my mum.

They are always welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend this care home. My mum has been in others for respite but this one is the best

We as a family now can visit our mother, enjoy our stay with her and leave her with the knowledge that she is in safe hands. If she is happy then so are we.

I've visited Elsie for a few months now and she seems to have fitted in very well. While I have been there the things she has requested such as fresh fruits and ice lollies in hot weather etc have always been provided. Staff are very caring and even I am asked if I need drinks in hot weather too. It is very clean and well kept.

That agreement was signed under conditions I consider blackmail.

Came to see my grandma for the first time since she's been at the home, a musical show had just finished and the service users were all given a cup of tea and a bun. The atmosphere of the place was lovely and the staff were all very caring. The maintenance man was making sure with all the residents that it was ok for him to go in their room and to check what issues they might have had. Everyone knew everyone by name and everyone treated my grandma with kindness and respect. We were shown photos and videos of another recent performance and even found my grandma on the photo wall in one of the boards, she looks like she's having a great time and much happier to see her with people than at home by herself. Came to see my Mama this afternoon. She was watching a show but two ladies (manager I think) brought her to us and got us all settled in a little corner so we could spend time with her. She looked immaculate and cared for and appeared very happy. Everything about our visit was lovely and everybody couldn't do enough for Mama and for us whilst we were there. A beautiful place for Mama to now be living and I'm certain the care she will continue to receive will be to an outstanding standard. Thank you for making a hard thing much easier.

We were very happy with the staff, who were very caring. I felt that he was safe and being cared for properly. I think he would have liked a few more activities, as he felt that he was sitting in a chair for a long time. On the whole, we were very pleased with the experience.

Staff were caring and friendly. Always with a smile. Kept me informed regarding wellbeing.

Wonderful care for my mum while in the home. I knew she was safe and was being looked after. A great service from all the staff.

We initially contacted Swallownest care home in May 2025 regarding respite care with a view to hopefully encouraging mum to move in on a permanent basis.. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and despite her initial reservations mum soon acknowledged that it would be a good idea to stay. The care that mum received was excellent, we were welcomed to visit whenever we wanted. The team all work really hard to provide a great service and quickly became an extended family to mum . She enjoyed taking part in some of the activities organised by Dawn and Tracey from the wellbeing team but even when she chose to remain in her room staff constantly checked in to say hello. The catering staff worked really hard to accommodate mums changing dietary needs.Sadly mums health deteriorated and she required end of life care . It was so comforting that she was surrounded by people that she knew . Our only regret is that she didn't have more time there as her quality of life was improved so much

The care and support that Silverwood have given to my mother has been of the highest quality. From the first time we made contact with the home they have listened to her requirements and delivered a first class service. On the top of this they have also ensured that we were listened to and made us very welcome. All the staff are very approachable and display a remarkable propensity to treat everyone as an individual. The attitude and humour of the staff has made visits enjoyable.

I have no hesitation in recommending Silverwood to anyone considering using their services.
