I am very happy with my mother's care at Greenacres. The management and staff are excellent. Special thanks to the activity organiser who does a fantastic job arranging events, singers, trips etc. teir input makes a huge difference to the residents quality of life.

Mum moved into Greenacres in May 2026 when it became apparent that we could not give her the care she needed at home. We had to navigate our way through this huge change in all our lives. The staff at Greenacres were caring and supportive and helped us through this difficult time. During Mums stay everyone was kind and helpful and when Mum passed away we were helped with compassion and empathy. We cannot thank the staff at Greenacres enough for their care.

Following hip operation, I needed rehab for short term recovery. It was a daunting experience, but having been settled in with aid from staff I mingled with other residents, joining in group activities. I am very independent, exercising daily, walking around the corridor and garden, chatting to all. I am pleased to be able to return home, many cannot have an experience!!!

Absolutely love this care home. The staff are fantastic and my husband is so happy there. A special mention to Zoe for all her hard work and amazing ideas, honestly there is a constant stream of entertainment and activities which are so varied and always Fun! just like the latest 'Super Hero day' which saw staff and residents dressed up and Zoe made sure everyone had a fantastic time! What a star!!!

Mum came to Lydgate Lodge 3 years ago when she was no longer able to stay in her own home and needed 24hr care. From the moment she started living there she was treated with the utmost love, care and dignity. They gave mum as much independence that was safe to do so and as her health deteriorated they were able to offer her more support as it was needed. Towards the end of her life the love and care they showed was exemplary not only to mum but our family too. I would highly recommend.

Great activities.....Super hero day was a super smash. The whole home was decorated and staff were dressed up. Therapy dog met the residents dressed as super dog and the local mountain rescue team brought their vehicle for residents to sit in and look at. There were themed craft activities too. Simply super! The smiles on mum's face said it all. We love how the home supports residents and encourage involvement gently through fun.

Lydgate Lodge is a super place and the staff are amazing! We visited Mum last Friday on Super Hero Day and had a lovely afternoon with entertainment, food and lots of fun!! I cannot thank the staff enough for the love, care and support they give.

The food was excellent, the building spotlessly clean and the activities were varied and very inclusive. The care was professional and to the highest standards and I cannot thank the whole team enough for everything they did for mum and myself to make us both feel relaxed happy and well cared for.

Full entertainments calendar appears great but unfortunately the activities are not carried out. The singers and a visiting artist are excellent but residents need stimulation everyday not a couple of times a week.

Mum now has a much better quality of life, and its thanks to the all round support she receives from the staff.

From my first meeting and tour of the home I knew Mum would be happy and settled. The staff show empathy and kindness to everyone consistently. They definately follow through and make one experience for residents and family extremely good.

I have had both parents in this care home & been visiting for almost 5 years. I have seen a deterioration in the level of care over that period. I believe due to the reduction in staffing levels. My parent is on a residential floor which has residents with an increasing level of care. Many with dementia but not in my opinion adequate levels of staffing particularly on an evening & weekend. My parent has had several serious falls in the last 12 months one of which resulted in a broken limb. I visited today & found them in a soiled bed. Once I raised the alarm someone came but they had been left with no bottoms on with the door wide open. This is not treating with dignity.

All staff are attentive and welcoming towards family members which is a massive help when navigating through uncharted territory.

Lots of activities to do, lots of fun to be had.

My wife spent 14 nights at Lydgate for respite care to allow me to take a holiday. I found the management to be professional and staff friendly. The whole atmosphere was excellent and welcoming.

My mum initially went to Lydgate Lodge for respite care due to the progression of Alzheimers greatly affecting her safety at home. Every aspect of mums stay has been a positive one. Each and every member of the team are just wonderful and do an amazing job. They are warm friendly and approachable. They know my mum so well, she loves to have a cheeky chat with them! I am confident & happy that mums needs are met with care, compassion & dignity. The wellbeing of families & loved ones are also met with thoughtfulness. The management deal with any issues promptly & professionally. Each event is extremely well managed. The effort to make them special is amazing. My particular favourite was Mother's Day. It was such a lovely day. The decision to make mum a permanent resident was the toughest thing I have ever had to do. A year on, I know it was the best and right & only option for both mum & myself. A massive THANK YoU team Lydgate. You're all stars in my eyes.

Mum is extremely happy at Lydgate Lodge & the staff do a wonderful job - a special shout out to Gave, Liesel, Karen, Stella, Stacey, Mel, Jenny, Peter, Donna - they are all like family & provide her with excellent care.
