My mother was a resident at Camowen for nearly 3 years until her death earlier this month. She often said the staff are so very kind to her and she loved her meals.

The residents at Camowen are treated as individuals with dignity and compassion. I knew mum was very safe in their care which gave me peace of mind.

Camowen is very good value for money, their pricing is very fair.

I regularly visit my Dad at Lavender Lodge. I have always found the staff to very helpful, supportive, respectful and kind to everyone involved with the care home. My Dad has been there since Feb 2024 and has built up a relationship with staff. The Manager and staff have a compete understanding of my Dads needs and know exactly how to react and support him in a compassionate manner. As a family we know that my Dad is in good hands. The Manager always takes time to talk to the family and support with questions or clarifications at a time when we are still learning about Dementia and all the challenges it brings. We feel reassured that Dad is getting everything he needs.

My Father-In-Law has been a Resident of Lavender Lodge for several years. He appears very happy there and enjoys the banter with the staff and management. We are very happy that Emma (the Manager) and each of her staff are so attentive to him and responsive to his needs. Dad loves the food and company and there are always a lot of social events to enjoy. We have always found the staff to be friendly and caring towards my Father-In-Law and to us as family members. Emma (Lavender Lodge Manager) has always been proactive in contacting us with news, queries or requirements (e.g. legal, care and medical matters). Our family feel that my Father-In-Law and we are in safe and pleasant hands with the team at Lavender Lodge.

My wife is being looked after really well. She is content in her surroundings. She is comfortable. All the staff are extremely kind and caring looking after her needs. They all have a lovely manner, are patient and have a smile to greet her. My wife has been in the home a while and she has always been treated with respect. I have no problems.

Appalling food, and a lack of options. Some residents caused problems for mum going into her room. Mum often left in her room alone.

My step dad moved into Camowen in February. Since then, he has made a 180 degree turn in so many aspects. His health, his happiness, his whole demeanour has improved sooo much. I can only give positive feedback on all aspects of this home. Warm, friendly, attentive, professional, supportive, caring staff. A lovely home in so many different ways. I can not recommend this home enough. Thank you to the manager and all of the team for looking after our dad so well, night & day.

I would definitely recommend Camowen, nothing is ever too much trouble

My Mother In law was a resident at Camowen since July 2022 until her recent demise. The greatest attribute of Camowen are the same staff who have been excellent and been caring for her throughout. It has been great for her and me to have such consistency and they really got to know her and therefore meet her needs. The manager is excellent , always trying to think of ways to make things better for the residents. My Mother-in-law was always clean and tidy and well fed - she put on weight whilst there and said that sometimes there was too much to eat!! The home was always lovely and warm too! The team have been very communicative and kept me up to date with all aspects of her care. The care she received in her last weeks of life was excellent and every step was taken to make her as comfortable as possible. All the time she was there, I always knew she was safe and well cared for and which gave great peace of mind. Thank you to you all at Camowen.

Staff couldn't be more helpful. They have really helped my mum settle in all look after her. Mum is really happy and it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere when we visit.

The staff and management at Lavender Lodge are exemplary. Our mother has been there for three years and they are lovely with her. The care and feeling of a safe environment is superb.

They know me and my brother, and know his needs. He speaks highly of them, the way that he is looked after and the food. The no ratings for value for money and care/support are because I have no knowledge or experience of them.

Lavender Lodge is beautifully prepared and decorated for Christmas. The Christmas party, attended by residents, staff, management and residents' family and friends was superb. The kitchen provided a fabulous spread for all and though the staff were mingling they were also continuously checking that the residents were cared for at all times. A photo of each resident on a Christmas card and signed by the resident for the family, was the icing on the cake. Thank you one and all!

Mum has lived at Lavender Lodge for over 2 years and the manager has created a wonderful caring, inclusive home. The staff are wonderful and we've seen a significant improvement Mum's quality of life since settling in.

My Dad has settled well into Lavender Lodge. He struggles with his dementia and the staff are kind, understanding and make him laugh. They have got to know him well and I feel confident in his care. They also welcome family at any time which is so helpful.

Mum moved into Lavender Lodge at the beginning of October 2024, she has settled in very well thanks to all the caring staff and the manager. The manager and her team have been very helpful with the transition of Mum moving in and settling. Mum says she feels at home, this is one of the things we liked about Lavender Lodge when we visited. It has a real home-from-home feel about it.

Staff are polite and genuinely care for all residents. I feel confident that Grandpa is safe and well cared for at Lavender Lodge.

The staff here are very friednly and polite. I feel happy and happy knowing Dad is safe and well cared for.

I can't describe how wonderful the team have been looking after my granny. The care shown to both my granny and my family has been thorough and truly genuine. I feel very secure that she is safe and their needs are being met.

We were desperate to find my mother a care home. Camowen came through and we've been very happy with their services they provide. What is a stressful experience, became a friendly and welcoming procedure. I feel my mother gets wonderful attention, the staff are so helpful, offering a professional and truly caring service. Their dedication is so obvious, we're beyond grateful. I had no knowledge of the industry, these people do an amazing job. Thank you Camowen.
