St Catherine care home has been extensively modernised throughout and caters for up to 19 residents. The management and staff are very proud of its fine reputation as a warm friendly and caring home.

St.Catherines is a residential care home that caters for clients with both physical and mental health needs ie. dementia or anyone with age-related illnesses and for clients that may just need support and assistance with their daily living.

Residents are encouraged to live as independent and active a lifestyle as possible, with caring staff providing the level of help and assistance requested or necessary for each person to maintain or improve their quality of life. All the staff at St Catherine's work together to provide as happy, warm, caring and homely environment as possible, with dignity, respect and freedom of choice always paramount.

The home has a large lounge/dining room tastefully decorated with colour TVs, comfortable seating, and a door leading out to restful gardens. The bedrooms are decorated to a high standard with either en-suite or vanity unit, with TV and telephone point. Visiting services include: Hairdresser, Optician, Chiropodist, Dentist, Physiotherapist, Clergy, Local GP's to residents registered, and Library.

My brother was transferred to St Catherine’s on extremely short notice as his former home closed. They were extremely accommodating with the begging with his requirements. It’s clean and very amenable with access to all areas well thought out. There are always plenty of staff on hand and always a manager
present should you need one. They have programmes for the residents each week to keep them entertained. Privacy is also ensured if required. The management has experience in this type of work in other fields so that is reassuring. Guidelines are always followed with records kept up to date. The staff always checked on us and always gave us updates on my brother's current situation when asked. He was always relaxed whilst in their care and they were very attentive to his special needs. My brother liked being there especially interacting with the staff! I feel they did their best to make him feel comfortable and would like to say a big thank you to all the staff. Thoroughly recommended.
