Over all time The Meadow has 160 reviews.
Since moving in 6 months ago she is eating much better, joining in on quite a few of the various activities, including Tai Chi!, has made some friends and is loving the garden. She is by far much happier than when she was living alone with carer visits. I have to add that the staff are wonderful, they're very organised, caring and are a pleasure to deal with. We couldn't be happier with this home.
Thank you for your kind comments about our home and my team. I agree. we were all a little apprehensive about how this move would go and were prepared for all kinds of possible scenarios. It was so wonderful and heart-warming when your Aunty said on her first day here: “I think I would like to...
My mum who is extremely vulnerable has felt welcome, safe and well cared for since moving here last year when her care needs could not be met at her last home. She is happy there and always appears to be well looked after and treated with dignity and respect.
Thank you for taking the time in doing this review, I shall pass the comments on to the team. I really appreciate all the support you have given us in helping Mum to settle here.
He is so well cared for, especially during this COVID pandemic, and since he also has ongoing medical conditions, myself and our family have the peace of mind knowing that he is well looked after.
He is happy and content, well-fed and safe and we cannot thank all Staff enough for their love and kindness.
Thank you for your kind words. Your cousin is very lucky to have a relative as reliable and supportive as yourself. He really loves all the delicious snacks you keep buying for him and always says that he can ask you for anything at all, and you will always help. He also praises the team, whenever...
My mother has been a resident for over 2 years now and I have always recommended The Meadow. She has been well looked after by patient, friendly and caring staff. Her room is clean and tidy, the food looks good and she is well attended to. The management are friendly and approachable. All in all, it has been a good experience.
Thank you for your kind words. The team will be very happy to receive such kind praise and we are happy that both your mother and her family are happy how we provide care here. Your approach towards our team has always been understanding, respectful and supportive, which we really appreciate – it...
I strongly recommend The Meadows. This is a lovely, caring home, who are doing a great job looking after my mother. They have a very high standard of care and have done an incredible job taking care of residents during the lockdown, including ensuring that covid did not spread in the home.
Thank you for your kind words. Mum has been here at our home for many years and you and your family have always been very supportive, also of our team. Your kind words and continued praise of how the team worked through the lockdown made a lot of positive difference, as comments like yours gave...
During that time, he has received care of the highest standard. This standard has never dropped and during the COVID-19 pandemic; the attention to detail, in making sure all residents are safe and relatives are informed and able to make contact with their loved ones, is very reassuring.
The management is demanding and assertive and gets the very best from their staff as they are respected and rightly so. Even during a period when the care home manager was taking maternity leave, the seamless nature in which her deputy and executive management team stepped up was truly impressive.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to any prospective resident and family and thank everyone for working in the care home for the love and care they give and show to my dad and me.
Thank you very much for all the valuable support you have given to your Dad and our team over the last few years. We are very fortunate to have a relative as understanding and able to work with the team as yourself. The pandemic has been an unprecedented experience for all of us and our team were...
I simply wish to express my joy at the service on offer at The Meadow. My mum has been there 1 year. The staff, without exception, are kind, caring and knowledgeable. I would not change anything. The home is a happy and dedicated care environment, where nothing is too much for the residents. The little touches are so comforting for a relative.
Thank you for your kind words. Our team really appreciate all your support, too. Your mum knows that she is loved and well looked after by both, her family and our staff here. She continues to do well and makes all of our lives richer, simply by being herself. Hopefully things will go back to normal soon, and we can all see more of each other. In the meantime, all the best to you and yours,
Really impressed with this low rise, newly refurbished home set in extensive landscaped gardens. Staff and management are all super-efficient and friendly. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. There's a feeling of space and elegance in the generously proportioned common areas. There are constant visits from medical and other professional caregivers. A warm community feel is everywhere and cleanliness and hygiene are particularly outstanding. Staff are quite simply superb.
Many thanks for taking the time to write a review for us. It has been absolute pleasure for us to look after your mum and she has been settling really well. Of course, this wouldn’t have been possible without the relentless support that we received from you and your family. Thank you for your kind...
It's clear to see that the reputation it has is very good and this is because the staff maintain good standards of care and consideration. In fact, I have observed numerous staff members show care over and above what is expected. They respond to the residents and learn how to improve as their needs change.
The staff, carers in particular, kitchen chefs, laundry and domestics all treat residents politely, respectfully and show great kindness and care.
Thank you.
Please let me also thank you for your kind words of praise...
My mum has lived at The Meadows for 2 and a half years and the staff have helped her to make it feel like her home. They are always friendly to both residents and visitors. The home is always clean and tidy and the garden which mum spends a lot of time in is very well kept. The standard of care is excellent. The activities are plenty and varied.
Thank you for taking time to do this review and your kind comments. I will share this with my team and we do hope to maintain the same standard of service.
He has quite complex mental issues, not dementia and I feel the staff at all levels have worked hard to get to know and understand him. To me, he seems to be settling in well and I value the peace of mind this gives me too!
Thank you very much for taking the time complete this valuable feedback. It means a lot to us and the team and I will share your comments with my team. It has been a real pleasure to look after your relative and we are pleased to see that she has settled in well.
The home is quiet and comforting. Residents are not left in front of the television. There is a wonderful range of activities every day. It's also set in beautiful grounds.
I would thoroughly recommend this home.
Many thanks for taking time to complete this review; it really means a lot to us as a team. Mum has settled in well and we are very pleased to see that her move and setting at our Home has been peaceful. We will continue to ensure there is a wide range of activities and thanks for supporting us every step of the way. I will share your comments with my team.
Caring, clean and well managed home.
Many thanks for taking the time to write this review. I really appreciate your comments and will pass them on to my team.
It was very nice. A nurse offered us a cup of tea. The home is attractive and clean with a good garden area.
Many thanks for taking the time to write this review. I really appreciate your comments and will pass it on to my team.
The Meadow is an excellent home. My mother moved from another care home 6 months ago and she settled immediately. The staff and carers are all amazing, they are loving and caring and genuinely love their work. The cooks are also great and provide good quality food. Any issues that arise are dealt with efficiently and immediately. I'm so happy for my mother.
Many thanks for such a positive review; it's our honour to look after Mum and she has settled very well. Thanks for all the support you and your family has given since Mum's admission. I do really appreciate your time in writing this review.
Visiting The Meadow, it is evident that the ethos is to create a home from home for the residents. The atmosphere is calm, friendly and personal, every member of staff greets you with a smile. The residents are regarded with warmth, understanding and respect for both their needs and wishes. The approach to care is also clearly conceptually robust and all aspects of living as an elderly person have been thought through with a professional depth of knowledge that is immensely reassuring. For the staff, it is commonplace to create a flexible, creative and stimulating environment which they seem to achieve effortlessly. As a result, my friend has adapted very easily to this major life change and is doing better than we could have hoped for.
Thank you so much for taking the time to talk about how your friend has settled into living at our Home when we recently met – your comments, questions and suggestions were much appreciated and I feel that it is our joint effort which has made his transition such a successful one. Please let me...
I visited my father after a very long time and I was pleasantly surprised by how well he looks when compared to how he was before. It made me really tearful to see his old self, he was dressed well. He smelled good and he was offered a very appetising, well-presented lunch which he always desired. I was also very surprised with the ethos of The Meadow staff, they were very welcoming and always smiling. Senior management undoubtedly had a very strong influence in the culture that was carried in the home, they are very knowledgeable and approachable.
Many thanks for such lovely feedback. We really appreciate the support we received from your family in enabling us to settle your dad into our care home. This means a lot. We are really grateful for you taking time to do this review knowing you have a very busy schedule. I will share your comments with my team.
He is now 98 years old and lives with dementia and he is becoming increasingly frail. I have been impressed with the consistent care and kindness shown to him by the staff, including attention to the integrity of his skin. District nurses and medical attention are involved whenever needed. Family visits are always comfortably welcome and my father is able to stay as healthy and contented as his condition and advanced age permits. I never feel I need to worry about him and I am always informed of any issues.
Thank you so much for these kind words, they are much appreciated. Thank you, too, for your continued support over the many years we have known each other. Your father is very lucky to have such dedicated and loving children. Your visits always bring joy to our home, especially so when you come...
I will definitely recommend The Meadow to people that are looking for a really good care home.

My mother has now been at The Meadow since October of last year and I have been very impressed by the level of care and support at the home. Management is responsive and professional. I am able to speak openly and honestly about any issues to do with Mum's care or any concerns I may have.
Staff are well trained and give residents dignity and appropriate support. The activities are good and the coordinator is creative and caring. Food is very good. Overall I am extremely happy.
Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. I will pass your comments to the whole of our team, as they will really appreciate such feedback. We all feel motivated to deliver the best care possible and would like to thank you for your continued support and your frequent visits. Together, we have...
